It would be cool if Balls was also on BTER and Cryptsy... Cool

Seems like the dcct cpu miner performs better versus the gpu miner.

Yep but he said that the method he is using wouldn't really work on GPUs - guess that thought crossed a few minds Cheesy

I'm just mining this for fun...lol....

An old AMD Phenom II x6 1055t I'm using does 25%~50% better than my AMD HD7970...lol

Seems like the gpu miner isn't fully optimized yet and still uses a good amount of the cpu also.

Increased frequency in VGA possible is achieved greater speed. Two vga card R9 280X (300 000pps) + 7970 (330 000pps) (frequencies 1150/1500) , and one R9270x - 200 000 pps (frequencies 1170/1400).

Tried 1150/1500 on the HD7970 and not much of a boost in performance, about 276k....

I get ~350k with the AMD Phenom II x6 1055t.

I just started mining this today. Is it better to pool mine or solo mine at the moment? I'm pool mining at the moment.

Stay on pool...

i5-4460 runs at roughly 400k
i7-4770 at 800k
i7-920 at 400k

Using GPUs is wasted power.

Are those on the dcct cpu miner? I figure that the gpu miner isn't too efficient at the moment, but I just want to try it out anyways. If the gpu miner could do ~1,600k or higher on a 280x/HD7970, then it would be worth it.

I think lots of gpu speed issues may be cpu related, look at gpu usage to see if there's a bottleneck. Hopefully someone can improve on the cpu part of the gpu miner, even small improvements would likely bump speeds.

The GPU usage is between 80%~95% fluctuations and the cpu is around 50% usage. I'm mining the AMD cpu on a different rig than the gpu, just to see how they both do. The the gpu is teamed with a Core i5. Hopefully, the gpu miner will be optimized in the near. But for now, cpu mining is better at the moment...

Seems like the dcct cpu miner performs better versus the gpu miner. I can't get either gpu or cpu miner to use stratum, they both get a handle error. But the longpoll/getwork works fine for both.

In order to get listed on coinmarketcap.com we need a better block explorer that supports an API call that returns the total coin count for their calculations.  I don't think you necessarily need a website, but they need a place to pull the coin logo from...in any event, that will be resolved soon Wink

Cool, right on. True the block explorer needs an API for CMC. Hope there's going to be more features, products and service in the future.  Cool

Hey CedricQuotient, have you sent a request to put this coin on http://coinmarketcap.com/ ? That would help give an idea of the market in a total for XQN.

Apparently we need a website to get added?
Is that true?

Not necessarily, just a ANN thread and block explorer. But a website wouldn't hurt either.
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is there anything worth mining anymore? on: November 18, 2014, 05:25:46 AM
Burstcoin, if you own the hdd's already or have a way to buy them cheap. High percentage PoS mining seems to also be profitable at the moment, ie BALLS, XQN, HYPE, etc....

I know I posted this on the XMG thread, but has anyone done a comparison of hash/wattage of cpus? What is the most ideal cost/performance cpu for mining M7M algo?

Just a suggestion: The videos for MAID, aren't too clear and have audio issues, annotations help but still would be nice the have better quality on them. Maybe the equipment needs to be upgraded?

What the tentative road map for this coin?

Roadmap should be released in the next few days, if not tomorrow.

Thanks...

Getting some negativity about the merge. Thinking about other options

The merge seems like a 50/50 prospect. Balls has more momentum than M at the moment and don't know if that my drag Balls down in some way. But at the same time, the merger can give incentive having both coins being minted on the the same blockchain and owner stake in both coins. Maybe just focus on getting more services, products and features specifics to Balls?

How many blocks are minted in 24hours period? About ~1,000+?

Hey ppl!
I've been trying to stake a little bit, moving my (couf) 230 cloak between my addresses.
However, the wallet says estimated time 13 hours and i have moved them around 5 times with no result.
Is this normal? i'm just trying to test if the staking works right, is this amount enough or will it go forever before staking?

Thanx!

you have to move coins after staking occurs. If you move before you stake then dont stake.

But coins max age for staking is 8 hours, right? don't i have to move them after that time passed or will it stake anyway?
Thanx a lot, I didn't exactly know how staking worked Smiley

Best regards!

you dont need to move after 8h you coins, but i get more staking amount if i do this.

It's about a week from the last update, any new news?

we plan to update community next week

Looking forward to it, thanks....
