Well transactions per second are down to three from over 140 a second last night. Which is good, should help with stability.

I predict max low is 8300-8400 - bitfinex - last hope support. None good supports below really - if it goes to 8000 its game over man Bitconnect dropped like a stone. At someone point Bitcoin could definitely collapse. But until then it's all just speculation. Maybe someone is dumping all the bitcoin profits they made from bitconnect. Maybe bitcoin will recover after they stop dumping. Oh is that what blew up the price? A Ponzi scheme collapsing? Man no one makes money on those things.

My one recommendation is get a board preheater. Really, it makes air tool removal easy, clean, and reliable. A hundred buck Aoyue quartz preheater is like God in a little box.
That and a Hakko battery powered part picker will make you a champ.

Sweet. Glad it's fixed, and that's a pretty reasonable price for a FET swap. If Bitmainwarranty is doing a good job then that is very good to know.
I'd do about the same thing except I only take bitcoin and litecoin :-)

ah hell, I've not 'panic sold' anything in like 2.5 years....good to see I still can wimp out Even if it is just 72 LTC Yeah I'll probably have to sell 30-40ltc to fund some equipment I just bought. Might sell gold instead, been years since I had to dip into that stash. But in the meantime, just shows how shaky hands can be. I'll ride it back down to $80.

141 transactions per second on the blockchain? What the hell is wrong with you people?

Oh well, grumble grumble guess it's back to work work. :-)

Has anyone tried using the BFL Monarch in the PCIE slots in their PC? I've ordered 3 BFL Monarchs that are arriving on Thursday to try out for fun and was wondering if anyone had actually tried putting them into their motherboard. I'm getting the 500Gh/s versions so just one will be pulling about 290w from my computer's PSU (I've plugged an Antminer S1 (350w) into it in the past with no issues but it was sketchy af ). I couldn't find anything online about someone trying it out so i thought that i would ask, if not ill be sure to try it out It should work: Use the BFGMiner 4.20 code on them and it will pick up the PCIe slot. There is no performance difference and you still need to mount the radiator but it will work.

If you want to fix it you probably have to pull the FETs on the board, at least the high side ones. This will require hot air tools, good flux, and a good pre-heater. I have all of these, if you want me to look at it drop me a PM and I'll send you my address.

Does Roach just get his posts from some sort of random bullshit generator?
I'm not sure. He keeps saying the same thing "This user is currently ignored." Ok, that was funny as hell. In Bitcoin land, looks like we're back in the 14k's again, which is nice. Koreans didn't tank bitcoin.

Do all three boards do this, or just one? How about if you run one board at a time on the controller?
Isolate the problem, always try to isolate the problem.

Did you look at the Teslas?
I like the Tesla's. Own their stock. A friend of mine owns a couple of them. I'm more of a Porsche guy, personally. Thought about buying the Model X instead of the Jeep Grand Cherokee I bought. Spoke to the wife of my Tesla owning friend, and she mentioned something about the X having some issues, and she wasn't interested in one at the time. Got myself on "the list" for the EV Porsche is putting out in 2020. Naah. Get a good 928S dude. That's a Man's Porsche.

Just to be clear, for BW do you have to have done something stupid in order to collect?

And now we go to 30k. Thanks cowboy!

So we're still stuck at 14k. This feels like that time we were stuck at 600 and everyone went on about how bitcoin was dead.
HODLing, no big deal.

Thank you so much Lightfoot! I've tried to turn on just the board and i still have the same problem, LCD doesn't come up and the led light doesn't flash. I don't know if the board is broken because i'm able to connect my browser to it trough the usual IP address, but i really want to fix it so if you say that the board is broken i'll send it surely to you. how can we organise the shipment with return?
If you have a board that works fine can we think to buy that one instead of fixing mine?
I'll drop you a PM with the shipping information. The FPGA chip is what's bad and although I have a spare board here I would still need your board as a core so I can continue to have a spare. But they are fix-able. Bit of a job to swap a 324 pin .3mm BGA grid and a QFN power controller, but do-able. C

Interesting Bitcoin is hanging around 160,000 unconfirmed transactions yet total fees are only about 23 bitcoins with 3.4 transactions per second coming in.
The raw number of unconfirmeds are still high (normally I'd expect 50k or so) but the fees went down from thousands of bitcoins to a double digit number. Does this mean:
1) The remaining transactions are probably spam/dust 2) Fees to use the chain should be down 3) This is a good sign
?
