Although I'm pretty bullish about this week (see wager with Walsoraj) I do tend to agree with these sentiments: a breather for infrastructure improvements would be very welcome...although current economic idealogies tend to dismiss infrastructure building when markets are down, so whether it will happen will depend on exchange owners having some prescience. Although I don't think BTC lends itself to too much TA I have to say I was looking at the Gox monthly chart, 15min intervals and you can draw a very nice Andrew's pitchfork... |

Hi All, And many thanks to those who have taken the time to post thoughtful replies either pro or anti my position. Unfortunately, I haven't got time to respond to each individually plus I have received at least one pm which suggests this isn't going to resolve itself nicely. However, I just want to make a couple of points: 1. To all those who say my OP was OTT...well, maybe it was and maybe there are intellectual or argumentative flaws in there. But hey, sometimes you are angry and I'm not going apolgise for that - oda.krell: sometimes you get angry when you have a lifetime of this shit and you see it replicated by people who claim to be creating a new fairer world. This is my first main point: if crypto is meant to be part of the NWO then this stuff needs to aired and if you are male and this sensitive then really you should go live somewhere where you are in the minority. You'll soon understand, believe me. 2. A lot of the advice I am getting is to 'play them at their own game'. I won't do that because this is a fallacious strategy. It's a thin end of a wedge and I guess the younger males here have grown up with so much porn and female imagery that it just feels normal but it's not. I agree, but this is also confusing for me. It feels like we are "burning in" the $800 price... and yet it is so high above the exponential growth trend line. *shrugs* I am just a buy & hold kind of guy, but my friends keep asking me if they should buy bitcoins, and I'm not sure what to tell them at these prices (... I always say yes, but I hesitate!) The exponential trend line is a myth. Media awareness may grow at an exponential rate at first, but there is a "hype" effect that will cause it to eventually depart the exponential trajectory. I believe we are seeing that now: all time Google Trends high, it is showing up regularly on network news, etc. It's not reasonable to assume that we can go from occasional web journalism to news networks without departing the trend. Also, the amount invested by every individual joining the ecosystem will grow over time, since there's an intangible measure of "trustworthiness" Bitcoin gains by surviving each successive bubble. Great post. I'd say the main obstacle is the network itself and its infrastructure...can it take the strain...Gox and Stamps issues over the last few weeks are not encouraging. |

Operations start next year right? I would be more worried about having my BTC tied up in NEOBEE until then.
Why worry? The share price is holding up well against a burgeoning BTC and OK you could do some trades and hope the BTC price tanks and buy back into NEOBEE later but really? This is an operation with fantastic potential, Danny is proving himself to have both the talk AND the walk (aka actually doing some work as opposed to most of the BTC start up CEOs).
