If THAT hits the market, we'r talking disaster....absolute anihilatio of price for quiet some time.

One can only hope that you are correct.  I'm looking forward to picking up some cheap bitcoins.

On the other hand, it's only 174,000 BTC.  That's about the same amount of bitcoins that are created every 48 days.

How much is market deapth right now? I doubdt it would suck em up before we hit double digit numbers....
982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Six blocks in 11 minutes! Bitcoin on steroids? on: June 12, 2014, 07:21:06 PM
Yes, it all depends on how much hash is added to network in between diff changes. Steeper change, sooner it will get.
983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FBI coins on the move! on: June 12, 2014, 07:19:23 PM

Here we go... Let the theories begin...

Oh man, great gif  Grin

Yeah, theory rampage ON!
Are they hacked? Are they Scammed? Are they buying stuff from Silkroad? Maybe Russians hacked em and sent BTC to themselves? Maybe Chinese? Probably Chinese, who are planning to crash BTC market with it by instaselling...
987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silk road seized coins are moving! on: June 12, 2014, 07:08:51 PM

988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scarcity model bullshit. on: June 12, 2014, 07:08:02 PM
Gold as a currency for thousands of years and then being usurped by an oppressive government is a great indication that the scarcity model does not work for money.

Gold is not problem...government is

I read that book. Murray Rothbard "What has government done to our money" he is mostly wrong. I would rather deal with gold manipulation than the governments manipulation, but that was written in an era where those where the only two options. That isnt the world we are living in.

Yes, now we have alternative in form of cryptos. I just hope they survive long enough.

990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm a little skeptical of BTC at the moment, thinking of dropping out again. on: June 12, 2014, 06:03:49 PM
So basicly, you made alot of bad decisions (not upgrading your mining hardware, running away on first large drop you encountered etc.) and your asking us for help? With all i read from you i'd advise: "Make your decision, and han do exactly oposite"  Grin

For real...you'r bad at this...you eather, buy (or hold what you have now) and leave it be for year or two....as your decision making isnt strongest thing you have.
991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scarcity model bullshit. on: June 12, 2014, 03:33:57 PM
The high energy cost come with a relativ secure blockchain....doge is wasting less energy but is less secure!
It needs to be said, that security by hardware pales to security ba software. So BTC could become 1000 times more secure and use alot less energy if it really wanted to (well if core devs wanted to). But as i said many times before, and i will say again, core devs are under paws of hardware manufacturers, and hardware is not going anywhere anytime soon.

Well it's not up to dudes...females jump on them and do what needs to be done.
993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Losers on: June 12, 2014, 03:21:11 PM
not quite as bad as the 10k bitcoin pizza though..

That was NOT bad AT ALL. It was GREAT in time when it was executed. It should never ever ever be qualified as bad. It's legendary and it's start of what bitcoin should be...money for using, not holding and hoarding.
994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gamblers bet on Bitcoin for anonymous online wagering on: June 12, 2014, 03:19:25 PM
I think the gambling industry is potentially a huge industry for bitcoin. It has many benefits. I was wondering earlier if many bets on the world cup have been placed?

It's not potentially...it's actual and it's already here. More and more casinos, poker sites and gabling organizations are accepting BTC. I know personaly some Americas that are now playing online poker wherever they want which they couldnt do before. BTC = Freedom of choice
995  Economy / Services / Re: New 400 BTC Bounty Pales Roger Ver's 37.6 BTC Bounty for Return of Stolen BTC on: June 12, 2014, 02:56:54 PM
I hope that 400BTC is incentive enough for you to catch this guy...i really do.
996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Losers on: June 12, 2014, 02:54:44 PM
You hear all about the winners because that's "exciting" and sells.  It's just like you hear more about lottery winners instead of the millions who gamble and never win a lottery, or who are compulsive gamblers.  You heard about the internet stocks mania in 1999 but not about the millions who bought near the top.  It's the media's thing.

Oh man, that's 100% like bad news on TV...that's what sell and that's what ppl write / talk about.
997  Economy / Economics / Re: Would people pour their cash into bitcoin given a stock market crash? on: June 12, 2014, 02:52:06 PM
It prett ymuch depends on how many stock owners know and understand bitcoin. If they all would understand it, than yes i think they would flock to bitcoin. But i really doubdt.
998  Economy / Economics / Re: Investment advice? on: June 12, 2014, 02:49:41 PM
If i had serious money to invest, i'd split it around to BTC, Gold, Silver and probably something else that is not forex / stock related.
999  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: June 12, 2014, 02:47:22 PM
My worst bitcoin decision? Started reading about bitcoin in 2011. Tryed even mining, got some coins. Had to format my drive, deleted everything and forgot about bitcoin's existance. Got my "wakeup" call in late 2013...to god damn late...
1000  Economy / Economics / Re: Guess Which State Bitcoin is About to be Declared Legal Currency? on: June 12, 2014, 02:45:15 PM
I hope Nigeria legalize BTC soon. I want to use all those good bargains that i get trough mail every so often...
