I see reducing btc holders rewards is good.
Reducing peoples byteball rewards from 20% to 10% per round is not good. They bought byteballs on the understanding they would get 20% per round. I don't think changing the rules is the thing to do regardless of the theories of how it will be better for them eventually.

You simply can not change the rules a once person buys on the understanding of an already stipulated set of rules. This is regarless of whether you feel it will be beneficial for them in the long run.

i think the byteball reward should stay at 20% because of a few reasons

firstly ,i sold the idea  to people as a good investment opportunity and now they feel like theyve been scammed

secondly ,we want people to hodl the bytes and with the tanking price 10% aint shit anymore

thirdly ,before the reduction byteball was the most lucrative and best  airdrop ever ,at 10% monthly  it falls behind the gains from other competing airdrops such as bitcore (BTX) paying 3% weekly compounded

although ,i do think the reward for btc whales was much too generous and tony was right to cut them off ,smaller ones who  didnt make much differnce have been hurt unnecessarily
but the ones who were making tens of millions a month should have been disqualified earlier imo ......
anyone with $289mm worth of btc doesnt need an airdrop and are a risk to the health of the overall  project

$BTC is making its largest monthly green candle in history.

have to think on log scale

Hi guys,

So what to do? Sell low And buy lower? Is the new thing?

Any advice its sinking deeper...

I'd say we are getting close to a bottom. Maybe another $100-$200 down. Then we will move up again at least over a shorter time frame. The big test will be if this is a local bottom or a final bottom were the bull continues.

Disagree. The top is in. ~$3000.  It would have been more, but Alts absorbed a lot of the Market Capital on this phase.

The exponential top is crystal clear for anyone to see.

It is just the latest iteration in the adoption curve of BTC and now all Digital Currencies. Look at the long term charts.

The next phase is a fall to around $1000, over the coming months.  (Alts will fare much worse).

The next upswing will not be until late 2018-19.

There is NO way this will continue falling without a correction all the way to $1000. We are oversold on almost every time frame except the monthly. Like I wrote we are approaching some kind of a bottom. It could be a brief local bottom where we continue downwards or it could be a final bottom before new ath. Time will tell.

Even gold outperformed us. Sad.

I don't understand what that gold vs bitcoin chart has to do with anything. So what, gold had a better day then bitcoin. On a day that bitcoin experienced one of its worse days in a long time. Not even sure if the bitcoin/gold correlation is that interesting in the first place. They are in a way both save heavens and have at times been moving in same directions but bitcoin should in the long run way outperform gold. Just as it has in the last 8 years.

Somehow i am under the impression Masterluc has always several handy scenarios going and just presents the one fits best.

no different scenarios for different time frames

Questions about next distribution...

1. Can I link several bitcoin acounts to the same Byteball address?

2. When checking my current byteball address (which isn't empty) it says that it contains 0 byteballs although I clearly see this isn't the case. The address is the same address I used in the last dirstribution and I haven't moved any bites since. What do you think is wrong here? Do I have to move my bytes to a new byteball address before the next distribution in order to get the 20% extra?

Thanks!
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: June 11, 2017, 06:22:42 PM
How does selling with the bot work? Where do the bitcoins get sent to? The bitcoin address that was linked to my byteball address?
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: June 09, 2017, 06:58:29 PM
P.S. You can now safely move your bytes and BTC out of the linked addresses.
Why people are so prone to withdraw their Bitcoins out of their linked address ?
What do they do with their Bitcoins between 2 GBYTE free distributions ?

I keep mine in cold storage. I didn't know how to sign a message from cold storage but I'm figuring it out for next time. I'd suggest others dothe same if they're in the same boat as me!

JUST GOT SOME BYTES

I signed from Trezor. Was suprisingly easy.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: June 09, 2017, 06:15:35 PM
So if I get this correct this is essentially free money. Like a form of spin off or dividend in a tradional stock sense. If so why aren't more people participating? What is the catch?

How many more distributuions will there be? Are they always the same amount? What does the distribution graph look like?
392  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nights Watch by Afrikoin on: May 15, 2017, 08:50:29 PM
To short time frame for compunding interest to have an impact on the slope imo

394  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nights Watch by Afrikoin on: May 06, 2017, 06:31:49 PM
Afrikoin so if I understand you correct you are expecting a final wave 5 now?

How high?

After the wave 5?

welll, looking around, almost all elliott wave charts i have seen agree we are in a wave 5.

what we seem to diasgree on is the shape of this wave 5

and the count from the $198 bottom from back in 2015 august

Generally, a wave 5 is final

Looking around at forecasts, besides EW forecasts, $1800-$2000 is a reasonable target.

What happens after a final wave 5 is a correction down.

The target of this correction depends on the count.

So for example, After the 5 – wave pattern finishes, the entire move will be corrected back to any where between wave 2 and wave 4.

if the count is an ending diagonal wave 5, the correction is back to the beginning of the pattern.

Now, i could be wrong. And i dont want to be slated for speaking too soon. But hey, what the heck?

So basically a bitcoin is dead kind of period after this top. Seems reasonable with the block size debate ongoing. Only thing I don't like is how far down it could go. It's just so volatile. It would be nice if after a new bubble top it wouldn't pop and deflate to such low lows.

Also masterluc was talking of this being a historical wave 3 (or something like that, I don't know much about EW). His top was around 10k. What differs from your count with his? He has been very accurate in the past.

My trendlines from the origin pattern matching analysis predicted the congestion and slight pullback in the 0.0124 area. I did not try to trade that one though because the probabilities were less favorable. Also I was incredibly sleep deprived from trading this so didn't want to enter any short positions while I slept (only 4 - 5 hours though).

There is a possibility of a significant pullback at either 0.0135 or 0.0146. with the latter being more likely. Otherwise ~0.02.

So with LTC now skyrocketing and Theymos and his other idiots whiners upthread are having their facepalm realization, this proves who is spamming and who is not.

Those who have made a lot of money buying LTC because of @iamnotadamnblack's correct and prescient analysis and predictions, could pay the most gratitude to him by voicing their displeasure at the Theymos' suppression of the truth, the experts, and free speech.

Wasn't Theymos also involved in the corruption of suppression of free speech over at Redditard r/BTC?

Or if y'all prefer, simply support BitNet when ever it is launched and decentralized forums on a blockchain in addition to other applications of decentralized databases.

This is warning to Theymos. Ban this account if you wish. But your days are numbered. I am going to remove your authority from our ecosystem. I win. We all win. You and your idiot cohorts/baggage lose.

One excellent way to voice your displeasure is by quoting this post (even with no comment). Also so this post can't be deleted by a moderator.

Let's see if those who appreciate, also have some balls.

Readers would have never seen the posts and chart that more convincingly indicating the rocketshot was imminent has Theymos' censorship not been subverted. So if you value the profits you are making because that analysis gave you to confidence to HODL, then you should not be so timid to express what is valuable to you.
397  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculation Rule: buy when others are irrationally pessimistic or too cautious on: April 22, 2017, 04:58:33 PM
The iamnotback prediction was pretty accurate on this one, including a correction to 0.0083 (not as low as 0.0075 but there was a correction)

hmm. interesting that i remember his last comment before disappearing said something about him being right and price never dropping again. i distinctly remember that he advised that 0.01035BTC is a good entry point. and as he said this and then disappeared, price tanked hard down to 0.0083BTC! i just hope nobody entered at the "good enter price" he suggested because although that is still profit but it is missing out on a nice big dip.
and that could have led to some stop loss sells leading to big losses!

You are so stupid. He has given you a great oppurtunity. take it and shut up

1600??

I guess 800 is out of the question now  Cheesy

Of course 800 isn't out of the question. Africoin is just providing a possible alternative. But we are heavily weighted towards his previous predictions imo.
