Woohooo, Finally sync'ed an minting. Took a few restarts during the sync, but it worked, I also had to do the wallet repair, but all looks great right now. Great work devs

Hey everyone, I'm pleased to announce that my project team and I have decided on the final design of the new Darkcoin wallet software and UI. The new Darkcoin wallet will look like this: Light/White SkinDark/Blue SkinYou'll be able to choose your desired skin/theme and modify colors to your liking. We may support custom layouts in the future as well, but for now we must focus on functionality and completing the work in a timely fashion. You can view yesterday's status report on the wallet overhaul at DarkcoinTalk.org... Regards, The DRK Lord +1 Realy like it Bloody beautiful! You guys really nailed it!!!

My wallet keeps loosing sync also.
I would highly recommend the dev to provide people with a "bootstrap" of the blockchain up to this moment. (as bitcoin / litcoin etc do) So people can get on the correct fork and mostly up to sync.
With everyone on the correct blockchain for sure, it should help the network to stay in sync.

My updated wallet gets stuck on latest block (1 to go) then re does the last 9 again. Something not right.
..edit, maybe it's okay. Front page should be updated to tell people to upgrade wallets!

Darkcoin suffers from a bad methodology to achieve anonymity and it's put everything into this one basket.
Sorry to hear you lost faith in the project. Also, sorry you're going to be getting out at a horrible time (right before I announce I have EVERYTHING figured out to make Darkcoin mainstream?). Over the past couple of days, I've made huge leaps in the Darksend technology. In fact, RC4 will be the final solution to Darkcoin's anonymity. The client will automatically look at all of your funds and it will be able to tell which funds are not anonymized, if it finds non-anonymous outputs it will run them through a darksend with other clients. After that process, users can send without Darksend using the anonymous outputs for instant transactions without waiting for other nodes (with no upper limit on transaction sizes). The other thing you're missing is that there is a reason I forked Bitcoin. Adoption for Darkcoin will be MUCH faster and easier for vendors, because all of the APIs are the same. Expect more news in a few days. I have lots of work to do, but soon we can start testing all of this new functionality. Evan does it again! Pops in to blow everyone's mind! Never question the development skills!

We're almost at 80% masternode payments compliance!! I'll admit I didn't think we could do so well without enforcement, but I didn't knew people like GhostPlayer were going to work so hard on this Enjoy the graph. Yeah, the masternode compliance police have been out in full force making sure people are paying their masternode tax. You obviously didn't read the first 300 pages. Without master nodes there is no anonymity. Without payments to master nodes any dick with an internet connection could start hundreds of master nodes and there would be no anonymity. Without payments there is no incentive to buy 1000 DRK and tie them up in Master Nodes. Without Master Nodes there is no mining, because there would be no point. Pointless. Rather like you. I guess you would rather user your internet connection to launch hundreds of free to use master nodes. Without master nodes there is no anonymity.Exactly! Darkcoins anonymity exists only with a masternode cluster fuck. There are better anonymity solutions being developed. You actually confirm some of what I posted "buy 1000 DRK and tie them up in Master Nodes.". Masternodes require people to invest in 1000 DRK and then keep them off the market therefore driving up the price. How convenient. Darkcoin was being mined for months without masternodes. Bottom line is that other solutions already provide at least the same a level of anonymity as Darkcoin without the need to tax one user to pay another for running a masternode. Everyone knows that Bitcoin isn't anonymous. Darkcoin is a Bitcoin clone. Darkcoin is trying to be something it was never intended to be. A truly anonymous coin will be designed with anonymity from the beginning. There are some right now. The masternode network is basically a hack that will prove to be problematic and suffer from issue after issue due to the fact that it's trying to make something into something it was never intended to be. Already two failed rollout attempts. It also creates an image of unfairness by taxing miners to pay masternode operators. A better solution would have been to charge enough of a fee from the users sending anonymously to pay masternode operators an amount that still made it profitable to run a masternode. But then you wouldn't have people wanting to use the network. Darkcoin suffers from a bad methodology to achieve anonymity and it's put everything into this one basket. I'd like to direct you to this post by propultion: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/the-genius-behind-masternodes.1764/Bitcoin is currently suffering from a decreasing number of nodes ... http://www.bitcoinpulse.com/chart/bitnodes/num_nodes/total ... because there is no incentive to run them.. That's why Dark's masternodes are so clever. You think we would have over 600 of them if people we'ren't getting rewarded?

How do we know it's working on Tor? I don't see any proof or info.

haha sure is! Lets get these new Darksend+ graphs up on the first post of this thread!

Now this is just amazing! Now we can start to see the fruits of Evan's and his team's work! Darksend+ Great write up also, very detailed but easy to follow.

I hate that Evan is having to spend his time cleaning up the official pool mess. It's surely frustrating to him, and it's a massive waste of his talents. In retrospect, it's probably a bad idea for a dev team to divide themselves between development and pool administration. But I guess hindsight is 20/20.
Frankly, I think the market is reacting to that fact more than anything else: development on DRK has slowed considerably while the devs spend a great deal of time cleaning up a mess that's barely even an adjunct to the actual currency. Don't get me wrong--I'm sure development is proceeding, but every hour spent closing the pool is an hour of brilliant and innovative ideas that are delayed.
You're absolutely right. And I'm sure they just took it down for that same reason It's very true. We don't want to bug Evan to post on forums etc. But if information can be passed down the ranks, and people can post on here, and the official website (then people know it's official even if not from the horse's mouth) that would go a long way. Good to see that we can expect from updates from Evan via Eltito. Hopefully some tasks can be delegated to the other core team members such as myself.

Did Evan said he was reworking the voting system?
Who the hell knows. There is too much confusion and uncertainty about development status. Apparently if you have time to hang out on IRC all day you are privy to material information that comes from Evan in snippets. Otherwise you are stuck guessing and interpreting out of context quotes and other third or fourth hand information. Markets don't like uncertainty. Evan should post a few sentences about current status and current plans here or on twitter. Dammit why don't we have an useful official source of develoment info for this community The official sources are only useful if you choose to use them . https://twitter.com/DarkcoinCrypto/status/482224555704848385https://twitter.com/DarkcoinCrypto/status/482011593891262464Edit: Is there a legitimate lack of understanding as to where to obtain official information? If so, I apologize as I didn't think there was, and I will make a concerted effort this week to make it more clear for everyone.I've been busy working for the last few days and obviously haven't been spending much time on the forums and IRC. I just read through the last few pages and it's obvious there is a serious lack of information and a good deal of misinformation. So from this point forward I'm going to be filling in eltito (our community leader) on the development status as it happens and he's going to be the one posting official replies and filling in the community. I'm hoping this helps form a clearer picture of what's going on and the status of everything. The masters voice! Cheers Evan. We know you're working super hard on bigger issues, you have have no idea how much knowing you're alive and kicking means to the community!

Someone running old pool software. These will go away once enforcing is...enforced. Those blocks would be rejected unless they payout 1DRK.

I understand variance, not everybody is paying MNs, etc., but at what point should I start to be concerned that my MN hasn't been paid yet? It's on all the lists. ~576 blocks per day, about 60%? of the blocks are paying, so about ~320 or so payments per day to ~380 MNs would be like an 80% chance of getting paid once in 24 hours? Not very good at statistics...somebody help me?
Update your MN privkey. I will need to send the DRK to a new address to do that, won't I? Or can I use the existing wallet? I used existing wallet. How do you know if your MN is working correctly or not? I received a payment on two of mine at 9am-ish. But nothing since. Not sure if it has stopped working, or just no luck right now. Shows okay on the MN pages. Would there be anything in the log which indicates a problem?

THIS is a Darkcoin Spork!! Because, someone had to do it lol. This is hilarious. Well done, sir haha cheers

I do not have definitive proof but I suspect some MNs are not paid because their signature has been banned. So, we can see some missing payments even though the pool has updated to 10.11.4.
So, I've updated to 10.11.5 on MNs and also tried to update my private key signature to see if it makes any difference.
Yeah, made a difference. More MNs almost immediately got paid. Updated my p2pool http://x11p2p.com:7903/static/, and one of my masternodes, updating my others now. Not sure if this helps if YOU have a banned masternode, or helps other, but updated anyhow.
