1201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Support for Bitcoin Cash - Exchanges says NO on: July 28, 2017, 09:41:13 AM
HitBTC, Kraken and many other supports Bitcoin Cash http://bitcoincash.org

Do you have the official announcement link from kraken? Found some mentions on blogs but cant find the official notice from kraken. Checked my email too but found none.

Thanks God this steaming pile of shit is going away for good. Never forget that wrong password bug. Never!
1203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warning: Using Bitcoin Cash means trusting your private keys to buggy software! on: July 28, 2017, 07:48:41 AM
Huh? The Electrum Cash BCC wallet is not associated with the Electrum BTC wallet? I thought it's being developed by the same guy.
1204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Well, well now it is clear that Bitcoin is traceable. on: July 27, 2017, 08:18:41 PM
Bitcoin has always been traceable. I don't know why it comes as such a big surprise now lol. I don't believe Bitcoin Cash will offer any better anonymity to be honest. If you want a better solution look for more specialized alt coins so to speak. There is a few of them out there already.
1205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: What do you think will happen with bitcoin in August after the fork on: July 27, 2017, 05:51:23 PM
SegWit2x hardfork will commence in November so in a way the poll wording is kinda misleading. Bitcoin Cash might as well cost jack shit at the end of the year. I think the coin with the longest chain will win the mainstream masses.
1206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I like the Bitcoin Cash idea... so please bring more like this... on: July 27, 2017, 05:31:43 PM
More alt coins derived from Bitcoin will destabilize the main coin. Not a good idea in my opinion.

Temporarily. In that time you can buy cheap BTC. After that it will sky rocket to $10,000 - you heard it here first Cheesy

These alt coins will divert hashing power and investment funds away from the real Bitcoin. Do we really want a global digital currency or do we want to continue fucking around with speculative alt coins? Greed is bad  Shocked

Carles do you have any info about when BetOpen will start distributing tokens to people?
Asking because I have these prize tokens to claim from your competition.

i said for SO many times(you can check my posts) : "by using an unlicensed exchanger, you are exposed to frauds and scams."

do you think that Coinbase and similar others 5-6 exchangers which have a financial license,  were stupids to spend millions for their licenses? they want to play for a long time without looking behind and having the peace of the mind.
also, they can offer you the peace of the mind because they are insured. why would you use a shit/anonymous exchanger instead? for what?

I always target exchangers like BTC-e, KRaken, Poloniex and others without any license. Mark my words, they will come next.

Sorry mate but I am pretty sure Kraken has license to operate in all EU states from the Euro zone. I don't know about Poloniex though.

I think next on the agenda is shutting down all Bitcoin mixers. Then after having taken care of the exchanges and mixers they will most likely go after the gambling sites.

Kraken has NO license to operate anywhere including EU or USA. It's in the same position as BTC-e.  You can ask them about that and then please share the information. A financial license or MSB registration must be a public information.  Smiley

This is especially bad now:

Quote
It is known in crypto-currency markets as one with the most relaxed standards for checking the identity of its users, to combat money laundering, and for not collaborating with law enforcement.

This helped make it "a favorite money-laundering location" and the exchange has been connected to recent ransomware attacks, said James Smith, chief executive of Elliptic, a company that works with law enforcement to track illicit bitcoin transactions.

I foresee a massive crackdown on all remaining unlicensed exchanges and illegal mixing services.

1214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk English Premier League pool betting | Current pot: £380 - £20 buy-in on: July 26, 2017, 04:32:43 PM
So when are we supposed to send the 20 bucks?  The season starts on August 12.  So maybe we start sending the BTC starting a week before that?  Very excited.  Smiley

I'll probably start taking in money no later than the 7th. Would have done it on the 1st but there many be some issues with the upgrade.

I do be very happy to join  this game, at least am sure it wi be done fairly and it will soon start just about 2-3 weeks from now. I think the prize pool should be increased to about 400-500 .

I have no control over the total pot as it depends on how many players sign up, but if you're in that'll take it up to £400.

Are you really an alt of hilariousandco or is this a joke?

Yep he is.
1215  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lauda/TMAN/minifrij extortion attempt on: July 26, 2017, 03:28:37 PM
This guy has quite a number of Reddit Upvote arrows on his roof. How awesome is that?  Grin
1216  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OGnasty has been compromised. |ID!0T| on: July 26, 2017, 06:54:53 AM
mammabitcoin2u wants some green trust obviously. Or has a lot of free time to bicker around for nothing.
Or maybe he's my alt.  Or maybe I'm an alt of wendigo.  Lol
You blow a lot of smoke, guy, even though your command of the English language is formidable.
Glad this whole issue is dying down a bit.  Hope OP solves his issue, which is now a coinbase problem
and not an ognasty problem.

1217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Anonymity on: July 25, 2017, 08:36:42 PM
It's fine as it is but Bitcoin is not anonymous though. And no I don't take any measures because I have nothing to hide I guess? Should I?
1218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash (BCC) is an Alt-coin trying to profit off the Bitcoin Brand on: July 25, 2017, 07:09:01 PM
How many chances of Forking? Any rough idea if we want to know the %? Thanks.

50-50. Anyone could do a fork even you if you had the expertise to build a client and had some miners support you. But judging by the support that BitcoinCash project has gotten already in the likes of exchanges and miners I bet the chance of happening is close to 100% unless they budge in the last moment but I doubt it.
1219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any mixing services siezed / shut down by law enforcement? on: July 25, 2017, 06:08:43 PM
Coin mixing is basically laundering money. How is that legal? If you try these shenanigans with fiat you will get arrested.

Everyone here has been moaning how they wanted Bitcoin to become a global currency. Well the first step towards that is to end all fucking laundering services first LOL
1220  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OGnasty has been compromised. |ID!0T| on: July 25, 2017, 05:54:47 PM
Apparently he gave away .25 of his BTC...yes.
I'm still waiting for him to return .25BTC of mine.

He returned to the sending address. How did you not receive your funds back ?

Because the sending address was allegedly a Coinbase wallet address and OG sent the coins back to that address. OP's coins apparently got sent to some random address and got lost. Probably sent in a ticket and waiting for assistance from Coinbase in order to recover the funds.
