1241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: Bitcoin on BBC News Front Page on: July 20, 2017, 04:08:06 PM
Most prominent display of Bitcoin news we have ever seen on the BBC news web portal:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news
There are only 3 reasons that bitcoin makes it in the mainstream media headlines:

1) The price is hitting all time highs or some kind of impressive rally
2) The price is crashing and breaking floor resistances
3) Another fake satoshi is found

This is literally all they ever report. They never report anything actually interesting. Just ignore mainstream media, they are clueless.
First time I've seen it on BBC News front page and in the top 10 most read though.

Bitcoin has been on BBC's news front page before mate. BBC are slow as snails when they write about any techno news anyways lol.
1242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF YOU BOUGHT $5 OF BITCOIN 7 YEARS AGO, YOU’D BE $4.4 MILLION RICHER on: July 19, 2017, 07:09:40 PM
You can do this now with some new alt coin project if you get in very early and don't sell prematurely. But it's definitely hard to time the right moment. There are always opportunities though so yeah you need to get lucky  Grin
1243  Other / Meta / Re: Should ICOs without blockchains be removed from Alternate Cryptocurrencies forum on: July 19, 2017, 06:21:44 PM
Be removed altogether or be contained in a dedicated sub-forum? Complete removal would surely hurt the revenue stream wouldn't it?
Not that I am participating in any ICOs anyways.
1244  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the Bitcoin Price going to rise smoothly now or will dip again before 1 Aug? on: July 18, 2017, 05:48:59 PM
I assume everyone is aware that the future is unknowable. Asking for what others think has a value close to zero. It may even delude you into thinking you know something.

That's absolutely true. However I can extrapolate from what has been happening recently and say that the most critical week for Bitcoin will be next week. I wouldn't be surprised if the price dips even more than $1800.
Scaremongering can be a very powerful thing!
1245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you sell your BitcoinCash on August 1st if there is a HF? on: July 18, 2017, 03:26:54 PM
I have already sold my stash for other coins. I will buy back later at a decreased price so I am good. I do not want to hold the BTC bag around August 1.

Is he going to eat it cooked or raw though?

Looks like some people are already taking him up on his offer and getting lawyers to draft up the contracts lol. Man I would take him up on that offer as well if the odds are any good lol.

1248  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many of you are secretly buying bitcoin? on: July 16, 2017, 11:00:27 AM
I am selling Bitcoins and buying alt coins. When things get back to normal I will switch back to Bitcoin.

And 'secretly' is not a good way to put it because you can see who is buying what at the exchanges as the log is pubic.

Don't pay attention to Timelord. The guy has sociopathic traits and is an attention whore who revels in his glorified investigations.

Just brush him off  Cool

When KMD's decentralised exchange takes off this will be a problem of the past Smiley

What is this exactly? I haven't heard anything about this one.

1256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: July 14, 2017, 08:45:27 AM
Isn't it just a better option to buy GBYTES with your Bitcoins? Bitcoin might even crash after the fork who knows.

I think finally if BTC crashes most of the Altcoins will follow Sad

Yeah but if you are holding GBYTES at the time you are guaranteed to receive more funds which you could sell for BTC later on compared to holding quickly depreciating BTC. My 2 cents.

Timelord please take your pills today and go to sleep early. You are not making much sense any more by the way.
Have you been drinking again? Feeling depressed? Need a virtual hug?
Here, let me help you!

just to clarify, im not mad that it was wrongly graded, im frustrated at the lack of response from the self proclaimed "best btc sportsbook"

misgrades happen, but the lack of any competence from all of your staff is absurd. 90 mins later and i have no idea this is being looked into or not, just wow

Nitro has really gone downhill recently.  I know their entire marketing team got fired recently (and replaced with cheaper employees who are far far worse at their jobs), perhaps the graders got a similar downgrade.

Why was the whole marketing team fired?
