1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: November 03, 2015, 11:07:08 PM
I'm holding my bitcoins until they have a ridiculously high value - that is, until they have mainstream adoption and are used by everyday people consistently. I learned from losing money by trying to day trade and gamble. Believe in the technology people, not the bubbles.

Been like a month since I visited this thread...and the altcoins are still sitting in my account, refusing to get withdrawn. Anyone have any updates on what's happened over the past month or so?

Anybody know how I can withdraw my remaining balances? This is the screen that I am seeing. If I put in any withdrawal address, it doesn't save it or do anything.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Mintpal / Moolah Bankruptcy and Missing Coins - 412 BTC Reported Missing on: October 18, 2014, 07:03:07 AM
I post the withdrawal address, click save changes and nothing happens... same for BTC and another altcoin. All it says is "Withdrawal Status
 Requested"
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Mintpal / Moolah Bankruptcy and Missing Coins - 412 BTC Reported Missing on: October 18, 2014, 04:49:17 AM
Can anyone update me on wtf is going on with Mintpal? Are they shutting down? Thankfully I only have some low amounts of alt coins on there...

And is anyone able to withdraw their coins yet? Any withdrawal addresses I'm putting in are not saving.
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Circle Announces Global Launch of Bitcoin Banking Platform on: September 30, 2014, 04:37:16 AM
Can someone explain what's different about Circle in comparison to other websites where you can buy BTC?

whats up ? no one talks any more ....

I haven't posted in bitcointalk for ages because university started again. A lot more busy so not so much free time. I'm sure that's at least one reason - there's a lot of people aged 18-mid 20s on here.

Open world games are my passion, stuff like Grand Theft Auto, Saints Row Assassin's Creed etc.

GTA is a good game, anything I can releate to in real-life I enjoy. Everyday reality is like a GTA game, or the Matrix. Grin

You're a gang member and car thief irl?  Grin Grin Grin
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How easy it is to KILL bitcoin. on: August 23, 2014, 11:20:46 PM
So then it occured to me..

Create a network of around 'x' amount of computers. Install bitcoin app and run as server.

Would this not create a 'new' blockchain, which can then be introduced into or OVER the origional one we currently use?

Lol. That's not the way it works. Users of the REAL blockchain would reject any outside / modified blockchain. That's the whole point. Bitcoin is not controlled by a small group of individuals, its controlled by the community of bitcoin users and developers.

A much more realistic threat is the government or Wall Street manipulating the market to make bitcoin crash in price.

I see people selling league of legend accounts, but not sure how successful its compared to the d3 story I heard.

Im seeing some ebay listings for $100 per account.

I'm fairly certain that wouldn't be worth it because of how long it would take to level an account that would sell for 100 dollars. It's probably only done by people in the developing world where like 3 bucks an hour or something is considered good.

Going to be very different depending on everyone's age. For younger kids I'd imagine it's all the shooter games like Call of Duty and Battlefield. For slightly older generation (like me) it's undoubtedly World of Warcraft - that was the only game that ever felt more like a video game to me.

I'm a PC gamer. I've played the big games of the past 14 years from every genre, but my favorites are 1. RPGs (multi or single player) 2. MOBAs like Hon and Dota 2 3. FPS games. I played mostly shooters (CS 1.6, etc) when I was younger, then transitioned to more RPG games and played WoW for 5 years, and lately I'm mostly playing Dota 2 and a few RPG games here and there.

there was a kid who made 200k in diablo 3 from botting when real auction house was still up.

the only investment was $50 for the game and his friend who coded the bot script for $50.

I`d say he came up big.

That game was certainly a gold mine for a few months after it came out, although botting isn't exactly legal. Can't think of a single other game where could make money as easily as botting in early D3.

Do you have good knowledge about Bitcoin? If you are experienced on Bitcoin, there is a chance of making good amount of profit from Bitcoin trading.

You mean selling and buying it back? That doesn't really work so well anymore because the price is very stable.
