Locked my finger inside the barrel of a gun at a shooting gallery when I was a kid. I still have a scar from it. The gallery owners said they never saw that happen before

ARROW is very nice Arrow is pretty cool even though I'm not too into comic adaptations. Some of it is super cheesy though. I'm telling you all, you need to watch "You're The Worst" on FX, it is super funny. Like raunchy comedy... I watched a few episodes of arrow, but the cheesyness just got to me. The writing in this show is not very good, and neither is the acting. It is mostly just pretty young people that can't act very well. And the action is very unrealistic because bullets never hit him.

He sounds pretty angry when you hear him talk about Wall Street and traditional FIAT monetary systems that way. Didn't Overstock have some problems with sales, as well? I mean Amazon is pretty much the market leader anyways!
He is angry. He is a very interesting character who is one of the few CEOs that is an outspoken critic of Wall Street. There was a cool article about him a while ago, let me find a link. http://www.wired.com/2014/02/rise-fall-rise-patrick-byrne/Yes, Amazon is obviously bigger than Overstock, but I've started to use overstock more because not only do they support bitcoin, but they also treat their customers and workers very well. Not to suggest that Amazon doesn't, but Overstock has been very highly rated for employee and customer satisfaction. Here is an example http://investors.overstock.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=131091&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=1503943&highlight=

Great news. Wikipedia is a very big name on the internet, and I've personally donated to them 3 times over the years. I've written countless high school and university papers with help from their sources and probably read thousands of wiki pages on interesting, useful and fun stuff. Great to see them move forward with emerging technology.
I really hope they release how much BTC was donated after a week or something. Would be very interesting to see.

So, HSBC will actively help South American drug cartels launder their money (and it's a matter of public record), but they'll stop normal Muslims from banking there.
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how they spin this.
Of course, it's all about good business my good man! It's nothing personal, it's only money.

It really is amazing to what kind of extreme lengths people will go when their lives are somehow threatened. The only reasons these Israelis actually support their government's war crimes is because they feel threatened by Hamas, even though the reality is that only a few Israelis ever get killed by their rockets, while hundreds of people die on the Palestinian side. Threaten people's lives, and you can get them to agree and support the most vile agendas.

Thank you NK for making world politics so exciting! These guys never cease to amaze with their ridiculous show of force. It's too bad they will collapse some time soon, I just can't see this regime surviving any longer, especially under that fathead leading the way. They're literally living 50 years in the past.

No matter how shitty the Russian or Chinese regimes are, they don't have that much of a negative impact on the outside world, mostly within their borders and nearby countries. So that cuts them out. Then you have US and jihadists left. Both do a lot of "evil" things, but the US does it for money whereas the jihadists do it for cultural/religious beliefs. Plus, the US does "evil" on a much, much bigger scale - just count how many countries they've had leaders overthrown in.

WELP, I guess you guys should come up here to the great white north, full of less economic troubles then its southern counterpart! and 100% more Moose!
Not only that but we're also planning to implement universal basic income in the near future. The Liberals and Green Party want to test it on the federal level in the near future. Money, money for everyone!

it will be fun read these posts in 6 months Just go back like 50 pages, and read what coins people suggested. 90% of those are probably dead now.

For you sci-fi lovers out there, The Signal (2014) is a really nice new movie. Some really nice twists in this movie. Aliens are involved!

Kingdom of Heaven (2005) by Ridley Scott - an epic film about the Crusades in Jerusalem in the Middle Ages. Make sure to find the Director's cut though, because it is far, far better than the theatrical release version of the film. "The Hunt"
The Oscars may finally recognize "The Hunt" in the Best Foreign Language Film category? The intense drama stars Mads Mikkelsen ( "Hannibal") as a teacher whose life changes when a kindergartner kisses him on the lips. Suddenly, the close-knit community the teacher enjoys turns against this alleged pedophile. The friendships he took for granted disintegrate. The Danish star, who won Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival, beautifully underplays this common man in uncommon crisis. -- T.A.
Saw this movie last year, definitely one of my favorites ever. Excellent performance by Mikkelsen and really cool premise.

I absolutely hate money and everything it stands for because it brings out the worst in people. I mean think about it, the simple fact that society values people by how much money they make is pathetic and shallow. It is such a basic every-day thing that we don't even notice - like the basic question of "what do you do?" , after which the person immediately makes a judgment about your worth as an individual.
But the problem is that as a species, we are not really ready for a society without money. We have to naturally progress from capitalism to something better. Right now I think most of the world as at that stage where we see the many faults of capitalism and hopefully will start to move away from it to a more socialist ideology. Or at the very least, start truly restraining the financial sector that has caused the rich to become richer and the poor to become poorer.
I also feel that Bitcoin is a great "transition" tool from our current money-centered society to a different mode of life, because it removes a lot of that control that a small group of people exert on the entire financial system.

Ahh yes, the Republicans are still wasting people's time and money making the US government as shitty and ineffective as possible. Why actually do your job to make the country better for the public when you can serve your corporate overlords and prevent the government from functioning. Not that the Democrats are that much better, but at least they didn't put the government on shutdown and waste the last year or more trying to find a reason to remove the President.

Haha that is hilarious, but in a really dark way. Currencies in developing countries devalue incredibly fast and are abused by the government far worse than we have here. I have a 100 billion Zimbabwe dollars note from Amazon.com in my wallet, it makes for great small talk.

The only reason it seems like Bitcoin is "fading away" is because we're not in that crazy period of high price and volatility that exploded bitcoin into the mainstream at the end of 2013. In reality, Bitcoin is still getting stronger by the day, the most obvious indication being its continued acceptance as a payment method by large companies like Dell and Expedia.

Good call, ignored both of those trolls (bobsurplus and phzi). It is so blatantly obvious when people have a monetary agenda and just spam the same crap over and over like puppets.
