747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: hsrminer - Nvidia mining software for various algos by palgin&alexkap on: December 23, 2017, 08:14:16 PM

Thanks for the great work! Smiley

What about x17 algo? Verge is on a roll and is a major coin to mine Smiley

Thought that X17 is ASIC's theme now (Bainkal etc.) ? I'll take a look, of course, but won't promise anything until closer look.

ASIC is X11 through X15, x17 is actually gpu only algo and is quite profitable for verge atm Smiley. I dont know how much it is optimised though.

Alexis version is good, but the usual some-percent can be squeezed out of it.

Just wanted to say that this is not needed on linux.
I'm mining with 5x1080ti (using almost all of the gpu ram), 4gb system ram and 2gb swap.
Looking forward to the Linux version.

Yes, Linux version should be OK without those manipulations.
I'm still waiting for alexkap and Linux builds, but he seems to disappear completely, I'm starting to worry about him.
He's from country other than I live in and I can't even come and visit him.

If he won't show himself, I'll switch to Linux builds myself (will have to setup Linux developement machine first).

I'll be glad to help if I can

OUT OF MEMORY ERROR SOLUTION:

increase windows memory pagefile!!

I increased from 16gb to 32gb the windows pagefile, and it worked.

I've just wanted to post the same  Smiley
My development machine has 128 Gb physical RAM installed, so I didn't observe this issue, my rigs are 5x1060 3Gb's, so they don't suffer from this issue too.

Little explanation: there's thing in Nvidia architecture called Unified Memory and this one works quite differently starting form Pascal and needs prefetching , in other words, code is accessible from both CPU and GPU, memory pages and tables are created on access. Kernel specific makes it need to have full amount of memory (even by using virtual pagefile) installed on the system to cover full amount of memory allocated on GPU's. So, if it's 6x1080? each allocates 6260+, amount of physical RAM + pagefile should be more than 6260*6 >= 37560 Mb.

I'll add this info to the first page, thank you  natan069 !!!

I had experience with bit-z and it was terrible.
They start asking for 10 btc, then change their mind many times.
Now they have their vote coin to buy.
If you guys want a small but free exchange, just submit the request to coinsmarkets. I don't see anything wrong with it, let's hope they will manage the wallet upgrades smoothly.

Posted a commit to fix (workaround) the multiple rigs solo mining issue (same work on all machines).

https://github.com/pallas1/ccminer-m7-branch/commit/318a8168f52b7839d8b318c9004f89a598478a06

Was having the same problem on 1 rig with 2 cards when trying to use a different ccminer for each card. Compute levels etc.

Ended up letting an older ccminer run both together.

A windows build of my miner with the fix should come soon ;-)
752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INTENSE COIN - Blockchain backed decentralized VPN - Hybrid PoW on: December 22, 2017, 04:21:37 PM
By the way.. The whole volume of itns is 50x higher, then xmr.. So.. If itns idea will be so populer, as xmr, then 300/50=6$ for itns!;^)

I don't get it, must be 'cause I'm tired.
753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INTENSE COIN - Blockchain backed decentralized VPN - Hybrid PoW on: December 22, 2017, 04:15:36 PM
I like cryptopia also... they seem alot faster at getting coins into the exchange compared to most i find.   I wish these exchanges would have the US dollar price in another column as well.... that would make it alot easier to find prices that aren't like .00000 behind .. that extra 0 can really sneak up on you when your tired.....

5 BTC to get listed.

with supernova not supporting XCN after the end of the year. are their any other active pools?

i have tried for a few days off/on to connect to the only other pool listed in the 1st post with no luck and am unable to find any others.

is solo mining my only option? fairly new to the whole mining world, and still dont get how solo mining rigs "talk" to others to get or add their work to the blockchain...
but that is something to look up another day...  right now though just wondering about XCN pools.

TIA

I'm in talk with a pool owner in order to have a new pool setup soon.
Solo mining is not that difficult and with current diff it can be fun to try.

758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: December 21, 2017, 10:26:25 AM
bitcore it's better imho, it has big airdrop interest, and with your mod, it's on top of the profit

The best sp-mod today is the blake2s mod. (verge) The profit is more than $20 per 1080ti card..
x17 is much better )) but all pools suxx )) solo rules got $50/day per gtx1080ti

in order for sp_ not to waste time on an x17 mod: there are 20% improved x17 miners around already.

760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BTC38.com - Crypto exchange launched its English sites on: December 20, 2017, 09:15:23 PM
Have not been able to log in account after trying a few times over the last month.  Giving me a "facebook error" message but I didn't use Facebook to sign up with them.  They need to fix this.  The btc38 account here hasn't logged in since March 2017.   Luckily, I didn't have much there.  This looks like the first exchange I've been on that is looking like it did some kind of exit scam.  They need to get back online.

You are a bit late. The exchange is closed since some months ago. It was announced long ago.
