1101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][RVD]RVDCoin-Secure CPU only cryptographic coin on: December 04, 2013, 04:00:15 PM
Not going to download this, before i know more about if it cointains any viruses..

No virus at all, why do you guys always think there are so many cheaters in this forum? We are good guys who just want to create a new coin for this world.

There are people always wanting to scam others. It isn't a bad idea to be careful of new programs especially when some people have lots of worth in cryptocurrencies.
1102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][RVD]RVDCoin-Secure CPU only cryptographic coin on: December 04, 2013, 03:53:49 PM

Exactly why I am mining it on a spare computer with a clean windows install I won't care to wipe later.

Is there a post number you must be to post in this part of the forums? It could have been him not planning ahead and doing that so he can post.

I have mined a block so it is a real coin. I suggest people use a VPS, spare computer, or spare harddrive until he get a clearer picture on this.

Could just be a stupid dev launching it.

Yeah this is a Quark clone for sure.

Considering all this accounts past posts are single smiley faces in the Chinese section someone needs to go through this carefully.

Sounds like something someone would do if they planned to post a virus and didn't wan't people to not download due to first post.

It looks to me like it is, except it's not premined. And that's at least worth something.

Quark wasn't premined. Mining was public from the start.

Has anyone checked this for viruses ?

What does OP mean for why he deleted thread?

Maybe he tried to scam them with multiple credits and they charged him on all cards when they caught him?
1106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Playstation 4 Litecoin miner on: December 04, 2013, 03:07:18 AM
Sony isn't going to put this on their store, ever.

Maybe if someone could somehow make it run through a HTML5 page on a browser maybe.

Xbox One is supposed to eventually make every console a dev console where you can create and test your own games. I don't remember if the PS4 is also doing that but if so a open source miner that could run on that may in fact be possible.

Either way I expect Sony would change their TOS so that voids the warranty if it doesn't already somehow.

If the speed is anywhere decent though having a PS4 miner would get a coin some mining attention from people who normally can't mine.

Price went down, sigh.

Time to buy more if you have the BTC.
1109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / QuarkSpend - Buy Anything Anywhere Online with Quark (QRK) on: December 02, 2013, 09:07:55 PM
The site URL: http://quarkspend.com/

Brand new site so think it would be good to discuss the idea and share any experiences that any users here have with it.

Good to know quickly if it turns scam or not.

Guys

Today few of qrk.coinmine.pl miners found an exploit to cash out more coins that they actually mined and hot wallet was completely dry out. This exploit was possible because of site upgrade I was doing and its not related to pool software.

I know this was kind of my fault but I am kindly asking honest users to give back Quarks to this address: QY9f1fRFMv3xJha9XH637k2Yey1WSkvGBA

Will appreciate your cooperation.

How much did they get? If a lot those people cashing out would explain the drop in price earlier.
2 millions coins dumped last hours... don't think that single pool could give this amount Smiley
No but it could definitely start a panic sell depending on how many it was holding.

1112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quark is 5th on Coinmarket Cap - Can we lose the "coin" please ! ? on: December 01, 2013, 05:37:35 PM
Not quite sure what you're getting at.

All references to "Quarkcoin" are going to be replaced with "Quark" so he wants "Quarkcoin" to be replaced with "Quark" on coinmarketcap.
1113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: December 01, 2013, 07:34:30 AM
I think you removed Quarkcoin...

That is because the block explorer went down.

Someone posted this though: http://explorer.andarazoroflove.org/quark/block_crawler.php

Seems all normal now on http://qrkblock.com/chain/Quarkcoin ... still not showing on coinmarketcap

Lets hope the owner of the site puts it back soon.
1114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 01, 2013, 07:27:03 AM
Is there any reason it was removed ? Surely it will be going back, it was a top 10 coin in coin market cap...

Block Explorer went down.
1115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 01, 2013, 07:12:04 AM
I hate that Quark isn't on market cap right how while bitcoin is crashing. Such a missed opportunity.

you can use cryptocharts

While I can when people are looking at coinmarketcap Quark isn't even listed. I get the feeling tomorrow after this dip could bring lots of interest in other coins.

Update the OP with shakezula's block explorer:

http://explorer.andarazoroflove.org/quark/block_crawler.php

This mean we can get back on coinmarketcap? With bitcoin having a minicrash people will be looking for other currencies.
1119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 01, 2013, 05:35:43 AM
I can host a block explorer.

Is there any open source one for QRK I can just grab?

No idea but getting quark back on that list would help raise the price and stabilize it higher, maybe even get it on more exchanges.
1120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 01, 2013, 04:11:24 AM
Quark is no longer listed: http://coinmarketcap.com/

Probably because they couldn't update the coin.
