201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Beta is almost here[Updates & Discussion] on: October 05, 2014, 11:21:45 AM
Question: Have you sent all private messages with tokens already or not yet? Still got no message neither email yet.

Question 2: What about deffense against possible security breach from anyone in bitcointalk.org? What if someone will try to steal some NEMs just by inside job?
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Beta is almost here[Updates & Discussion] on: October 05, 2014, 10:31:19 AM
When you send the last message can you inform us about that? I worry about many people which will realize that someone has stolen their stakes just by reading the btt message first having silent access to their BTT account but without changing passwords neither emails (because the asset issuing was halted from security reasons so hackers have had only one possibility - to stay silent and not making the compromising detectable OR to wait with the acc theft up to day when the issuing will begin).
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Crowdsale has begun[Updates & Discussion] on: October 03, 2014, 07:24:32 PM
It seems that people holding some at least a bit significant amount of NXTs want to have also a position in NEM. Its logical, NEM has many NXT developers and similar expectations so they are hedging against the success of NEM. And because the issueing of new NEMstakes is halted due to security reasons the market is not able to absorb those demand, so the price is going up and jumps sometimes up and down due to daytraders trying to make waves to scalp any price movements . This may have also in short term range partially negative impact on NXT price due to possible sell-out by old NEM-owners because it seems that the NXTs for which are NEMstakes bought are not coming from free market buy-in but from older NXT-holders.
End of the economical analysis and have a nice sunny autumn Smiley
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why consumers are not adopting BTC on: October 01, 2014, 12:33:14 AM
Its very simple.

Consumers dont adopt BTC because they dont get any.

Is your paltry salary or another earnings paid in BTC? No ways.
Do you sell your used car for BTC? No ways.

You can pay with bitcoin. Yep, but you

CANT BE PAID IN BITCOIN.

No bitcash, no payments, easy. Nothing comes into existence from nothing.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Crowdsale has begun[Updates & Discussion] on: September 10, 2014, 12:27:48 PM
Sorry for extra post but i noticed an important thing - the stakeholder list is not working, look at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AlidWok7hW0DdFRROFFGVUpwcFFXcHVCdGc0a3NuQVE&usp=drive_web#gid=10 it gives error code... All links to google docs published in many threads and at NEM website give error code.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Crowdsale has begun[Updates & Discussion] on: September 10, 2014, 11:47:33 AM
Bitcoin has a problem in his future - its not a green currency at all, it consumes too much energy and computing sources, there is a good gap for all PoI networks. The success of PoI based transaction network is determined by 3 things:

1) stability
2) publicity
3) sustainability

If all 3 points will be valid, there will be no reason to replace PoI in future (and there will be enough hope that PoI will be the "last" step for many years solving all imperfections of BTC PoW concept). BTC (with its old PoW concept generally) is so much successfull because it is (almost technically) stable, has a good publicity and was sustainable (and will be until it will become unpopular due to big energy and resource demand - it consumes really horrible amount of energy and production resources).
There is no reason to think about bitcoin demission and it wouldnt bring anything positive for market in general. Its comparable to MMORPG games, old concept may coexist with new concepts and be relativelly independent, however only new concept will grow up, the old one will stagnate and being slowly demised for many years (look at world of warcraft as an old obsolete concept vs. new 3D action MMORPG simulators like world of tanks or war thunder). Now compare it with crypto.

WoW = BTC, first concept, had many epigons (crypto: all PoW shitcoins and "altcoins"), many of them got some community and survived but never succeeded because they have brought nothing really new or innovative.
WoT, WT = 2nd generation crypto. Projects with good innovation based on another game engine (in crypto another crypto algoritm and transaction network), another community, absolutelly different mechanics etc. and they are absolutelly independent on other projects. There is a big competition between WT and WoT (same like there is a competition between PoS currencies) because they are similar in its own generation and used by similar community.

The only question is how will be NEM going in future. Concept is good, idea excellent, question is what about the people behind it and technical backup. The crypto in general is fragmented into many projects which go nowhere or just have no credibility. This may be also good for PoI / NEM because there is a big hole waiting for anything what will fill it up.

What i really miss for now is a propagation which /my 2cent/ is a bit underestimated and below expectations adequate to initial distribution and development. Sometimes is being a little quiet more healthy and better than loudly empty promises and PnD which we know from other projects and "projects", however there are some questions which need to be solved faster than it happened. E. G. the trademark or logo - without this i cant e. g. wear a T-Shirt with NEM logo because it may be changed again. Thats are the small details which may lose the war...
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big scam in NXT hundreds of BTC stolen with a one post on: June 16, 2014, 09:02:06 AM
...until someone sells more than 100 NXT at once and hiccups the thin market  Roll Eyes

However i cant believe one thing. If there is so high virtual market cap and so low liquidity why there is no rat which sells its stake and gets it before the others can do. (and lets the others to cry over the value of their bag thousand times less than before). It is a really well working trust, sad but respect to this trust... Because one rat with so high bag can destroy the whole value being the only one profit maker. With so high bag you can just troll the other stakeholders. I think it didnt happen just because the liquidity is so low that even the one rat cant sell its bag. Or - more probable - just because the biggest bagholders are one big group, family or just one guy. The technical analysis of market value vs. price per NXT is the best evidence of this.

BTW this is not off-topic the weird liquidity was the only reason why this scam succeeded (and peoples stupidity of course).
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recognizing trolls and FUDders and another parasites by IP addresses on: June 15, 2014, 11:13:34 AM
Of course, but in your schizofrenia Yes means No  Cheesy Cheesy
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recognizing trolls and FUDders and another parasites by IP addresses on: June 15, 2014, 11:02:01 AM
Mistaken? Maybe. A bit off? Maybe. But ridiculous? Why? There is a problem and solution, you have better one or better informations?
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Recognizing trolls and FUDders and another parasites by IP addresses on: June 15, 2014, 10:50:00 AM
Hello it starts to be annoying how many people (and schizofrenic kids) have many sockpuppet accounts and are constantly flooding this forum. I wish administrator for making IP addresses of every post visible for all members so we can easy recognize fake accounts making fake impressions, trolling, FUDing (...) and flooding the forum to be unreadable. Publishing the vote here because alternate crypto thread suffers the most.

Please discuss about this problem because this is a big problem and public IP should be an easy solution, not totally unbypassable but still good enough
- few examples:

TOR address = probable fake acc/FUD or dirty activities
adresses in same range or network = sockpuppets
many addresses but from the same country/state/region = sockpuppets/organized group

Of course, i dont know technical details of this forum but i present a possible solution, if its impossible, i will be happy for explanation, thx.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread {Updates & Discussion} on: June 15, 2014, 10:24:05 AM
I have still a stronger impression that CfA is suffering from schizofrenia (look at many contrasting estatements done by the same guy) and we have to suffer from him. Present some real evidence and we can discuss about it. IF you have no evidence than please go back Above to your room and dont bother adult people. Your behavior looks similar to few people which i know and who suffer from schizofrenia. However we have now to wait until you get back from manic phase to depressive one. Strongly recommending Zyprexa and Trittico for sleeping.
The next thing - his arguing and speech is at 15 year old teenager level.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread {Updates & Discussion} on: June 14, 2014, 10:53:33 AM
He is his son angry that dad is not giving him enough time while being bothered by the work for NEM.  Grin

When i was a little boy i sprayed the whole parents flat as a vendetta while they paid attention to some guy visiting us instead of my personality huhu.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptos in 1 year on: June 14, 2014, 08:17:43 AM
Absolutelly innecessarry topic. You predict the yesterday's weather.

Only bitcoin is the 99.999 percent hit.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: {NEW ECONOMY MOVEMENT} NEM Official Thread {Updates & Discussion} on: June 13, 2014, 09:22:13 PM
Self moderated thread is OK only if there are 2 official threads available - one self moderated for Qestions and Answers (without trolls spamming bullshits being welcome) and not moderated thread free for all even for hyde park bums. If the self moderated thread gets to 500 pages and non moderated gets lost in oblivion then it means that self moderation is not a censorship.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poll about NEM & UTOPIANFUTURE for all NEMsters on: June 13, 2014, 05:07:19 PM
Add more possibilities, i vote for not leading but being a (not leading) part of project. However i still think that bitcointalk polls are empty and just collecting empty bullshits only.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CONCEPT] Solution for IPOs : Proof of Person - Equal Stake on: June 13, 2014, 03:41:14 PM
To Pentamoanfuture: Nice words but far away from reality... like always.

The more i watch the cryptomarket the more i feel that there is a group of K. Marxs who are intending crypto-communism again and again and it doesnt work again and again... Communism has never been working. At least not without evil capitalism with UNFAIR conditions and UNFAIR distribution. Believe in evolution, e. g. evolution BTC with no initial distribution - NXT BTC 2.0 with unfair distribution - NEM NXT 2.0 with mass distribution - WTF (something in future), not in revolution (red commies)
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: {NEW ECONOMY MOVEMENT} (--NEW--) NEM Official Thread {Updates & Discussion} on: June 13, 2014, 03:28:12 PM
T-Shirt is excellent and very simple idea. When the logo gets definitive, me and my henchmen (one has a shop with t-shirts and is skilled in t-shirt printings) will produce few of them to point attraction in our dear country and maybe sell them for public Grin And yeah he can also make a tattoo with NEM. I think this is a just a little step which may do everybody from community (and have much fun by being dressed into NEM clothes or tattoo).
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEM's leader utopianfuture RETIRED after mistake posting w. sockpuppet acc on: June 13, 2014, 01:12:20 PM
Thanks for explanations, as i declared, the theory seems to be wrong. And yeah, litecoin is a good thing to be shot down, too valuable for so low innovations and merits, if NXT gets LTC and NEM will settle up the third place everyone will be satisfied  Smiley Smiley
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEM's leader utopianfuture RETIRED after mistake posting w. sockpuppet acc on: June 13, 2014, 10:42:39 AM
Its a conspiracy if it would true then NEM starts to be a serious rival of NXT while NXT trust of initial stakeholders is holding still most of NXT coins. So some of them may behave hostile to NEM because NEM has a big potential to threaten the NXT. And the most hated should logically be the founder of NEM project. They were waiting while people started buying stakes because it made NXT price growing. Now people are almost cashing out NXTs. This is not my theory, this is a theory of my job collegue but it seems to be working. So now has come the best time to start a tongue-offensive.

EDIT: IT seems that CfA explained the situation in many other threads. These ideas seem to be wrong also.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEM's leader utopianfuture RETIRED after mistake posting w. sockpuppet acc on: June 13, 2014, 09:02:18 AM
Its ridiculous how much people now care about sockpuppets. Even if every 2nd stake would be a sockpuppet, its still excellent distribution. And now the sockpuppet... Even the sockpuppet did take some initial risk and investment. Most IPO failed at bitcointalk with 0 return. Why do you not complain about sockpuppets investing in any of these failed IPO? I dont agree with some things fully however everybody with IQ over 60 must have realized that its IMPOSSIBLE to prevent someone with few accounts made in right time to buy some stakes. There are some rules of game and it depends on people here how they will play. Every game has it gaps and weakspots and you can be a bugger and abuse it if you are "smarter" than the rules. But... its not about NEM or another project, its all about human being. People are naturally greedy.
There is a way how to prevent it - but it wont never fully work. Send personal ID with registration? Hmm you can copy many IDs of your neighbors. Everything may be bypassed.

I think its absolutelly correct that the guy retired, this is adequate reaction. He failed, so he retired. Thing solved. The rest is only about things which are inpreventable and normal in every project. Everywhere are people with informations having them earlier than the others. And knowing how to behave. EVERYWHERE. NEM is humans project not project of entities better than humans and better behaving than humans.
