1541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: February 11, 2014, 07:09:04 AM
can someone remind me how to add nodes (and what to add) to my windows wallet please... it's still saying invalid address, whenever I try to send coinage. mac wallet working fine.  thanks.

One moment, dump your IX.

But i'm pretty sure they overlooked your post by accident.

thanks   Wink

Alright, so you can open the client and open the command console

Type (without quotes)  "addnode --the node IP-- add"

So like:

addnode 24.34.40.175 add

Or option 2, you make a text file in notepad, past this inside:

    addnode=24.34.40.175

    addnode=142.4.208.71

    addnode=24.42.148.53

    addnode=184.78.215.89

    addnode=62.75.167.48

    addnode=83.163.120.176

    addnode=123.203.84.34

    addnode=86.93.208.193

Then once finished save and rename it to ixcoin.conf

Place that in appdata/ixcoin

If you need more detailed explanation let me know. Also you will have to restart your client if you do .conf

ReddCoin [RDD] is 7 days old and was just added to coinmarketcap.com and its getting viral on reddit...tipping in all subreddits is posible with the tipbot and the implementation on youtube, facebook, mobile, etc. will come...its a professional project! ..NOT some regular shitcoin!

funds of ~70BTC where raised before launch.

last chance to get some almost for free..

go to https://www.coinmarket.io/ and buy some...

You really need to stop pumping this shit.  It has 160M for sale at 4 satoshi, it is never going anywhere.  The only reason it is going 'viral' on reddit is that people are spamming 100 redd tips everywhere.  I.e. 300 satoshi tips, so 1/5 of a penny.  This is classic pump and dump shit but instead of pumping, it is more of a chicken fart.  Please please stop the copy/paste bullshit because you happened to be sitting on millions of this worthless shit.

hmm..ok...no reason to get angry, but with all respect i try to show you the leaks in your "theory"...if its "pump and dump", i ask you where the hell is the pump? either we are still before a planned pump or you are right and the coin will never go anywhere...

but the devs collected over 80 BTC IPO-Money...so why they should not pump if necessary? with 80 BTC you can buy 5x the selling offers of the whole market + plus the buys which will come with the price increase...sure they could also run away with the 80 BTC, but is this a attractive pay for all the work...? i dont think so...

So, we can come to a first conclussion: if on a certain critical moment there will be no buyers its quite reasonable that the devs will buy...so it will rise anyway...so why not also buy?

secong: will there be a dump after the pump?

well that depends on you, on me, on everybody here...a dump might come if the coin isnt distributed well...but if its in a lot hands sure the early investors make nice profit, but we wont see a bigger dump...

you and everybody out there have NOW the chance to get in early...nobody has to do...but please dont complain after about "unfair distribution"...

RDD will be the most fair distributed coin ever, as even completly newbees from reddit can buy it for almost nothing...

correct me if im wrong.

This is like deja-vu... almost. Except for the part, reddcoin is just a clone of old technology and got x3.2 more IPO funds.

At the least, NXT was completely fresh and new.

Note to scammers, make a fancy website with a sexy IPO page and you will get 50+ btc for your coingen.io coin.

you remember what payout the early adopters of NXT had?

They deserved it, in my honest opinion. They woulden't of had those payouts if people didn't see the potential in NXT.

Now, i'm not going to go on defending NXT, but i do believe it was as fair as possible and the opportunity was there for everyone.

i agree with you and trying out one day the tipbot with REDDcoin on REDDit will show you what potential THIS concept has...

times are over that cryptos are dedicated to an informed peer-group of (sub)-experts..it is time to conquer the world, or fly tooooo the mars....like you want Wink

I'm just an investor and trader, have been for about 5 years now.

But i do have some stake in REDD, so cheers ^^

I don't think anyone takes ripple seriously, i wouldn't even call it a currency.

Ripples was like ooo, ahhh the first time using it. But, in reality it's just plain shit. The devs and whoever else took part in ripples had 1 thing on their minds and that's how to make a quick buck.. more whorish then any alt-currency I've ever seen.

They were successful at 1 thing, at the least.

Mastercoin is a major major failure too, but that's a different discussion.

1549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: did any of you manage to get his coins out of Gox? on: February 11, 2014, 05:26:39 AM
I'm glad GOX is finally on its death bed, time to phase out the old bitcoin exchange and let the honest and reputable exchanges take its place.

Events like this will only make bitcoin stronger then ever, this is the crash before the next bitcoin hike. People sold off, now the buy-back in period is happening.

I expect bitcoin to rise to the mid 900-1200s by the end of feb, beginning of march after all this FUD has washed away.

what makes things worse is im 12k in debt to my credit card company when I  made a fail investment

In my opinion, a person with 12k of credit card debt would be better off concentrating on paying off their debt rather than gambling on currency speculation.

I am self employed and I work from home, paying off my debt is my number one priority dont get me wrong.

I have recovered my 43 coins

Nice man, happy to hear that

You know the passphrase. The best thing to do is shut off all your computers and in a quiet room, start writing every variation of passphrases that you've could have done, or anything off the top of your head.. on paper.

Make a gigantic list, make sure you also check your caps lock key, in case you typed it in caps.

1553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is anyone still holding LITECOIN? (LTC) on: February 11, 2014, 03:03:49 AM
A lot of my clients hold LTC in massive amounts, i was very much surprised.

It seems that most LTC holders believe they are the next to be a part of the next bitcoin boom.

In reality, this is very much true. But, if your holding thousands of LTC i suggest disbursing them a bit, expand your portfolio. There are other high-end Alt-coins competing against LTC now. It's not a one way path like BTC had.

I'm eager to learn about the topic, and want to hear your view on it, however I feel a bit skeptical. How can you say your a season pro but only have traded the coins since Dec/2013. Do you feel the result was based on luck, and all the hype around bitcoin, and it was just a timing issue? Is there any evidence on your track records? By no mean I'm trying to insult you with my post, but in fact I sign-up to this forum just to ask you more questions before I sign up.

You would be surprised of how many day-traders that were trading gold, silver and commodity stocks have switched into investing and trading alt-currencies.

Before i became entrenched in bitcoin/alt-coins I traded with FOREX and Binary trading for about 5 years. Over those 5 years i've lost thousands and gained 10s of thousands of dollars, if not hundreds of thousands. Losing money is never fun, so i've learned how to minimize my risk dramatically through several analysis's of the markets. But, sometimes that doesn't work. Trading is a psychology game, i love psychology. Knowning how people react and certain pieces of information, i believe is more reliable then any algorithm. I use both methods to invest and trade. I currently have 3 monitors on my desktop, which help me analyze with algorithms and monitor everything about my target stock.

Lots of us came over because of the bitcoin boom, and for a seasoned FOREX (which is commodities and currency trading on live markets) alternative currencies are very elementary. There are several reasons for this at the moment, Alt-coins are only being traded amongst the minority, there is hardly any swaying of public opinion or articles daily about a certain coin. Regulations are very-low to non-existant and it's not prone or tied to the real-world enconomy... not yet at least.

The markets are very easily to manipulate and make thousands within an hour, if you have the starting capital and expertise to do so. The manipulations are happening for two reasons: Large btc stake owners (smart money) and seasoned traders from wallstreet, forex and possibly even now mutual and hedge funds. They are slowly trickling in, and this is very prevlent if you watch the amount of volume is happening with coins.

A month or two ago, i rarely saw coins trading in excess of a million. Now several coins a day can be subject to massive amounts of cash flow.

Hope that helps, this kind of got long. I could go on for hours about details, i believe this is a good summary of my insight and my skills/potential as a trader/investor

1559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 6 Crypto Currencies to Hold Long on: February 10, 2014, 06:22:36 AM
There are a lot of coins people could be considered as a long term coin, but take your list and cut it in half.

If anyone really wants to know what coins are going to make it in the future, a good place to start is making an HONEST checklist of everything a commodity or currency currently does; also, what that cyrpto-coin offers compared to everyone else's crypto coin.

Kind of like, a positive vs negative list.

You will soon come to the conclusion that only a handful are really invest-able, and most of them are not subject to major 1000% jumps and falls within 24-72 hour period.

This is a good way to start making a portfolio.

Done, if you write a full explict review for me. I'll let you in for a 2-day trial. I know you MsCollec, you may not need the advice.

You are always commenting right after me about scams, don't spread mis-information based on no facts.

I will pass on that offer, I'm busy.  It's not my intention to discredit your work. Good luck  Grin

The only thing you did by coming to this thread is discredit yourself, your dignity and hurt potential clients that actually have invested interest in my knowledge.

It was a lose-lose situation.

You are taking my comment out of context "if you can't beat them, join them', what I meant is that you took the innovative to execute what a Scammer what trying to do but in a positive way. And I should have edited the conclusion from your scam check.

Oh, i thought you were meaning that in a negative way, like i was scamming people. My fault here.

Cheers man for clearing that up.
