Why need trusted nodes? It runs on the Nxt blockchain directly.
I just mean some people won't want to download, install, and run special software in order to buy or sell there. If there were a series of open nodes they could connect to with only their browser, they would be much more likely to use it. They would be sacrificing security for convenience but they don't care. An online service is being developed now. Reference? https://nxtforum.org/index.php?topic=6231.msg124378#msg124378Are there any more of these blockchain marketplaces besides OpenBazaar and FreeMarket? I'd love to know how those two compare to each other.
As far as I know, no. FreeMarket seems to be the only one operating at the moment. http://cointelegraph.com/news/112883/dear-online-drug-buyers-your-problems-are-solved

Wow, watching people set their minds on OpenBazaar and completely ignore any alternatives is quite hilarious. FreeMarket has been out for a few weeks now. The first release was basically an open beta, and the first big update was November 9. It needs more buyers and sellers, but it is definitely showing promise and is functional. It is completely decentralized and runs on the Nxt blockchain. It is not a 'clone' of anything, it is completely original code. https://nxtforum.org/freemarket/Wow nice, and you can even invest in freemarket. I'm in. No fees for the rest of 2014, but after that it will cost 7.77 NXT to list an item. And 80% of fees will be paid to FreeMarket shareholders, the other 20% to SuperNET shareholders. I don't see it taking off without a series of "trusted" open nodes which people can connect to if they're willing to trade convenience for security. Why need trusted nodes? It runs on the Nxt blockchain directly. once the dark markets are there its going to take off.
It's only a matter of time. There isn't a single point of failure, it is near impossible to shut down freemarket. This will change the game.

I believe OpenBazaar is currently functional in beta mode.
For convenience, I wouldn't consider using one of these that isn't accessible via a browser. I'm 95% sure OpenBazaar is accessible that way. I'll keep an eye on FreeMarket
Fair enough. The last release (which is still available) was definitely available via browser. I'd be surprised if this version isn't. The .exe file is open sourced, and just opens a WebView to see FreeMarket.

Is OpenBazaar accessible via a browser?
OpenBazaar has not been released yet. I have no idea.

Is FreeMarket accessible through a browser or only directly through the FreeMarket app?
The Nxt client runs in the browser. I believe you can still install FreeMarket to the Nxt client and access it through the browser, I'm not sure.

Currently you need to download + sync the Nxt Blockchain. https://bitbucket.org/JeanLucPicard/nxt/downloads/nxt-client-1.3.2.zipOnce that is done, run the FreeMarket app and log in with your Nxt account. (You can browse without logging in) https://bitbucket.org/blackyblack/freemarket/downloads/FreeMarket-setup-1.0.exeIt is still very new (only released yesterday) and is not as complete as it will be in coming months. A website where you can log in and use the FreeMarket is in development.

You do it from main.cpp when you run it the first time.

This was a glaring issue regarding securities for a long, long time.
Professionals and serious devs would have considered this ages ago.
Unless they aren't US based.

Yep, but they still can take your money with ICO's there are loop holes so be cautions An ICO is a securities offering, it doesn't matter how you want to word it. For example, one such project is claiming to be able to make future profit from fees by buying the token. This immediately fits the definition of a security. The advertising of potential profit makes it a security offering. You should tell this to bittrex who gave all the hosted BTC to the ScamerDev when he was exposed. I'm pretty sure Bittrex is going to have plenty of legal issues when this all goes down. An exchange that facilitates funding and enables the trading of unregistered, illegal, fraudulent securities is a problem. And it's based in the United States.

There's some FUD regarding anon card which is completely unsubstantiated. We will be providing debit card solution for all SuperNET coins, the contracts with the banking provider have been signed, they are fully aware of cryptocurrency nature of the project, 300 cards have already been ordered. We're waiting for the setup to finish. Banking works slowly, this is not cryptoworld. Debit card will be launched, nothing is failed, just have a little patience.
Take a look at other providers of debit cards (xapo for example) - it took months for some of them to launch it, this is not easy, since there's a lot of negativity in banking regarding crypto. As some of you might know we provide crypto to any bank card solution since several months, so it's not just some promises, they are backed by our track record.
Great, can't wait to get mine!
