Besides the miners that HODL since the early CPU and GPU days, and a lucky few who bought and cashed out before the last bubbles had burst, the majority only lost money. Of course. Bitcoin is a zero-sum game. Bitcoin doesn't generate any revenue or produce anything. For every win, someone else loses. Exactly the same as gold.

My point is: 1 person can cause big price swings in the short term if they want to.
Too true

Just bought 5 Bitcoins worth of BitcoinDark on Bittrex.

Also, there was the stated idea that supernet would provide buy support for member coins, but this is not happening here....?
Doesn't really matter to me, I am buying here. But wondering what the big picture is.
Yeah I'm not sure either.

Is the current shakeout on BTCD perhaps a supertrader move in advance of teleport?
What do you mean? Why would a supertrader dump BTCD? I think it's obvious that someone is dumping, but why a supertrader?

James just posted this in that thread: I would like to clarify that not all NXTventure dividends will also have a SuperNET dividend and not all SuperNET dividends will also have a NXTventure dividend.
I expect that NXTventure will have some smaller assets that will be dividended that wont have a SuperNET counterpart.
There will also be some special assets that would only be SuperNET dividends.
It is hard to predict which one will end up producing more value from the asset dividends. I would think NXTventure will get slightly more, but probably the overall value over time will be within 20% to 30% of each other. It is just not possible to know the future precisely

Things are definetly comeing together, BTCDdev is doing a bang up job getting things ready to go for the teleport/supernet integration Some good reading on the progress being made in this thread as well.... https://forum.thesupernet.org/index.php?topic=66.0JJ Yes, that thread is excellent reading

If there are still people with TOKEN that has NOT been redeemed, does that mean current UNITY holders will get a bigger share of NeoDice? no I think valarmg is taking them

Someone just scooped up a bunch on bittrex. I wonder why?

Do you feel that way about all cryptos including Bitcoin?
If there is going to be demand for cryptocurrenies then something like superNET is essential to bring another layer of abstraction that provides ease of use for people.
If you think that cryptos are going no where, that's fine too, but to me if people are going to be using cryptos in the near future then superNET is something that logically follows.
Don't waste your time with that troll, I've got him on ignore I agree with you about SuperNET. It's the next logical step for crypto. A nice API that anyone can use that provides all coins with useful functions such as Teleport, sending encrypted messages, instantdex, privatebet, hopefully soon a provably fair random number generator, etc. It can bring all cryptos together.

Cheap BTCD Yes, I'm buying some as well Me too I think the sellers must not be reading this thread showing progress on Teleport development

I was able to compile libjl777 as a shared library and link it into BitcoinDarkd. Here is how: 1. copy randombytes.o from the nacl build directory (nacl-20090405/build/<username>/<processortype>/lib) to btcd/src 2. change the LIBS line in makefile.unix to this: LIBS += $(CURDIR)/leveldb/libleveldb.a $(CURDIR)/leveldb/libmemenv.a -ljl777 libuv.a libnacl.a randombytes.o -lcurl -lm -ldl 3. create a new file in btcd/libjl777 called make_shared and paste this into it: rm libjl777.so rm /usr/lib/libjl777.so gcc -shared -Wl,-soname,libjl777.so \ -o libjl777.so libjl777.o libtom/*.o \ picoc/*.o picoc/cstdlib/*.o picoc/platform/*.o \ libgfshare.o -lstdc++ -lc mv libjl777.so /usr/lib 4. edit btcd/m_unix to this: git pull ./BitcoinDarkd stop cd libjl777 ./clean ./m cp libjl777.a libs cd libuv make cp .libs/libuv.a ../libs cd .. cp libs/*.a ../src ./make_shared cd ../src rm BitcoinDarkd make -f makefile.unix rm ~/.BitcoinDark/debug.log cp BitcoinDarkd .. cd .. ./BitcoinDarkd
Let me know if it works for you. My CPU usage seems to be pretty high, not sure if this is causing that. If we can get this perfected, then future SuperNET upgrades can be made by simply replacing libj777.so in /usr/lib with the updated one instead of rebuilding BitcoinDarkd Is it running stable?
I was getting random malloc/free errors using a .soworks great! I pushed a merged btcd repo Great, now we don't have to rebuild BitcoinDarkd when you update libjl777

Any news on Teleport?
We recently began the process of open testing. Teleport will be one of many new features available to BitcoinDark through the SuperNET integration. I invite you to visit https://forum.thesupernet.org/index.php?topic=66.0 to view our testing progress.
