Any word on a multipool that will pay out in BTCD?
Is there much interest in it? I can make one if there is. This coin is so hot right now, people are going to be wanting it when PoS hits and it becomes that much rarer. I guess that is only 5k blocks away eh... I'll get on it then. Stay tuned. Awesome! That will be so great man. If you are the first one and keep us updated, the dev may add it to the op that a multipool is coming, which will definitely build hype and guarantee you miners the first minute after you go live  Well, I had one already staged for another coin which screwed me over so the frame work is already there. That's fantastic. If you could get it launched before PoW ends, so GPU miners could hop on board as well buying coins from exchanges...that would really be something  When is PoW expected to end? At the rate it's going, with hashrate continually increasing, it could honestly be today. We'll see though. |

its a long thread and i dont know if the first page has been updated since james began work here Yes, it has been updated. PoW is reaching insane heights, difficulty and hash rate wise. We are now well over 1% of Bitcoins' net hashrate. James from NXT is working actively working with the devs. to implement cryptonote anon. feature along with other neat features, like perhaps a centralized, official exchange. They have been totally open about all of this and are ever-present in the community. The dev, Azeh, is a very active member here on Bitcointalk. PoS is rapidly approaching soon, meaning this coin is about to get even more rare. I believe a few pools are working on multipools to pay out in BTCD, meaning this coin is about to go to the moon.  |

Just take the PPC mining calc on coinwarz.com and input the statistics currently for BTCD. I.E. The reward, price, diff, fee, etc... it shows something like $1,366 montly !!! (i didnt change block reward field, cant find out how much is it...) which sha256 coin is more profitable than btc to mine with asics right now ? 80 coins/block I bought this coin @ 14k and sold at @19k last night before the pump started.
Can someone please console me before I commit suicide???

Everyone should know that, of course, there will be price rises and falls. However, keep in mind that this coin is going to be BIG, not just in price, but in features and use. It might take time, but I feel this coin will surpass $1 USD. I bought and sold some at a profit, but then bought back in at about a 10k satoshi spread each time. I'm not selling any more though, I'm holding. This is going places. Darkcoin passed $15 at one point, no reason this won't. Especially since there will be less than 1.6 million PoW coins (less b/c of PoS), and PoS will take decades to reach the 22 million.

That's because it's the first altcoin to come around in a while that has a real plan, honest devs, and actual value. This coin is what Bitcoin should be. Sure, the price will fall at some point, but it's not going away anytime soon. |

How does this coin differ from other coins that have already implemented anonymous transactions?
there is also p2p market and assigned contracts Sorry just to be clear, those are just ideas right. I mean it doesn't have them yet nor, AFAIK, has development started on them? I'm not really understanding what this coin has to offer other than to say that is COULD have anonymous transactions, marketplace, assigned contracts, etc if they are developed. What am I missing here? All of these ideas are in active development right now. |

Is the dev still active?
Re-reading some posts, I'm just curious how this will work when implementing the anon features and future of this coin as it states in the ann post that it'll be community driven. I respect the idea, but I just want to be clear on the dev's intentions. Based on his/her past post history it seems they're genuinely interested in making a quality coin and everything has gone well so far, but I'm a little bit wary based on the comment about them not being a technical dev. Is that hinting that the work may have to be done by community members and those interested in the coin?
Hello! I am part of BTCD community now and I happen to be developing a cryptonote fork to add anon features to NXT. It turns out that my methods should apply to BTCD also. I will be working on integrating cryptonote tech into BTCD, but it is more than "just" cryptonote anon tech as I am also making my solution include a near realtime exchange (InstantDEX) so people can directly trade just by running the coin. How will all this work you ask? https://github.com/jl777/pNXT has the current source code and it is rapidly being developed. Once InstantDEX is done, I will be adding Privatebet (peer to peer sportsbook) to the pNXT framework, plus the way it is implemented there is no reason any other number of useful services cant be added. My efforts are in parallel with all the other BTCD coders and I try to design a clever way to integrate to require minimal changes to the BTCD codebase. So, if I succeed, then all the peoples selling at current prices will not be so happy. There is no reason that other anon tech in BTCD can't combine with the cryptonote tech, in fact pushing tx through two independent anon algos would only help if it is done properly. So, I bring very good news to BTCD and now I expect a massive in increase in the FUD level James P.S. BTCD has been so profitable for SHA256, I kind of feel like we shouldn't vote on it. If they aren't smart enough to see how profitable is is, why should we care? More profit for us A lot of multipools take coinwarz into account, maybe we don't want to be on there. |
