Is it possible to extract your private key from the wallet.dat file, and if so how? I'm using the Windows client.
open bitcoindark, go to debug console, and type dumpprivkey <yourAddress> Perfect, thank you. I just trust private keys more than wallet files... Also, is there a reason my coins occasionally stake small amounts to addresses that aren't mine? I have only one address; sometimes I guess stuff like (RAUDTE3vYAiHhDXSghfpcvCmrgc5q98r2H), 0.06529909. Tx id is dbe2a9cd29b980592bb8023fc3e8036c03e6ca624e7049b69870894b32dae39e-000 Sometimes it creates a new address. Yeah, I have my private keys written down on paper.

how do i put in an order for one of the btcd anon cards? if orders havnt started yet, any idea when they will?
No orders yet, the details are still being worked out. If you follow this thread, you'll know when they're ready to order following intently! Yeah, me too. If this really works as intended it could be an aweomse fiat bridge. I'm interested to see if these anon cards work in the US. Federal law currently requires verification of social security number for purchasing reloadable prepaid debit cards. As a result, the best anon card I know of right now in the US is to buy a non-reloadable $500 visa gift card with cash. Requiring identity verification to put our own hard-earned cash onto a reloadable card is obviously an absurd violation of our right to privacy.......Oh well, that's just the way it goes in the land of hypocrisy I guess. The company providing the cards are located in Eastern Europe. I'm not sure, but I assume that some other countries besides the US can legally purchase these cards. I guess we will have to see how it works out.

Me and my partners are looking for a new coin to be listed on CCEDK. We saw your coin as a possible investment and we would like to discuss the possibilities for this arrangement, if you find it interesting.
We are looking forward hearing from you.
Kasper Mertz @KasperMertz
Does this mean we could see BTCD/GBR, BTCD/USD and BTCD/EUR sometime soon? If so that would be fantastic. It depends on the negotiation of the listing of BTCD. I still need to get in contact with the developer of BitCoinDark and if both parties reaches a respectable agreement. There is nothing to negotiate. If you want to list a Top10 coin, just list it BTCD will not pay to be listed on an exchangeI am constantly astounded at the arrogance of crypto services. If you want to make money, list the coin and get the fees. Don't come into our thread basically telling us we need to pay you!

This might be a stupid question, but once this converts to Unity, will there be a wallet to withdrawal into or would the assets be kept (and kept record of) on the exchange? Sorry if this is a redundant question.
The asset is on the NXT blockchain. So, you will need a NXT account. BTER can send your asset to the NXT account. You can either download the NXT wallet (NRS) yourself. Or, you can set up an account at trade.secureae.com which is essentially a NXT wallet, but it put the asset exchange front and center. Also, you will need some next to use the asset exchange. So, you will probably want to buy 100 or so NXT because each bid/ask/transfer/cancel order cost 1 NXT. BTER says that SuperNET withdrawals are disabled. I'm assuming we need to wait until UNITY is released.

You're still not want to understand my point; Say 1 coin have market cap of $1mill and a second coin is $4mil then soon both coins will be $2.5mil each. There is no purpose to join a Supernet if you want your coin to be strong and alive, only dying coin would join. This was mentioned as all coins would have all the futures that other coins have so no coin is different. Who is benefits the most? Probably NXT and BitcoinDark but other coins are just little pawns.
join supernet and get your coin and reputation rape. it's true only dying coin would join this scam. Can someone tell me how to set it to ignore a Users' posts? the ignore button is on the left hand side of the post at the bottom below the users ID Jon I ignored the gentleman above my post. Thanks

i found something interesting in the terms of cryptsy 28. Staking Interest
Some Cryptsy wallets may provide staking interest rewards. Any staking rewards, conversions, snapshots, or likewise will become the property of Cryptsy. the "mystery" is solved I suggest to do a mass withdraw from cryptsy and not using them but of course we are not able to... There is no telling how many coins they are staking per day. I will never use cryptsy again if I can help it, and I suggest everyone do the same. This is thievery, plain and simple.

Hey guys, I am a BTCD supporter and have never used VRC. Will be investing now though! Welcome to superNET! I just researched VRC for the first time actually, you are definitely bringing a lot of value to this crypto community.

I'm glad this seems to have fixed the sync issue and the bandwidth issue. Now we can get back to moving BTCD forward!

Ok, it's been 45 minutes, still no active connections to the network, needless to say, no blockchain. Tried also with firewall offetc.
Any ideas?
Do you have a bitcoindark.conf file in your C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoindark folder? There was not one. Created a file in notepad, pasted from the OP and saved it as bitcoindark.conf in that folder. No help. Are you sure it saved as BitcoinDark.conf, not bitcoindark.conf.txt? Also, you need to close your wallet and restart it.

|
|
If your wallet is still not syncing, delete everything in the BitcoinDark folder except wallet.dat and BitcoinDark.conf and redownload the blockchain
