Klopt allemaal, maar.
De grootste kostenpost zijn de ontwikkelkosten. De chips zelfs zijn erg goedkoop, vooral als je op een hoger procedé zit (40nm +). Het maakt de verkopers daarom niet veel uit om er wat chips meer bij te doen om niet te riskeren dat vele orders geannuleerd worden.
En nee, de recursion van fibonacci zal hoogstwaarschijnlijk niet meer bestaan uit één chip. Evenals alpha-t en flower technology zijn allemaal omhoog gegaan met rekenkracht om zo geen of zo weinig mogelijk orders te verliezen aan KNC of andere concurrenten.
Inderdaad. Momenteel hebben ze in gedachte om de Recursion miner zo te maken dat deze uiteindelijk geleverd kan worden als USB miner. De hashrate was toen ik 'm kocht rond de 3 Mh/s geloof ik (of was dit nog lager?) en is nu verhoogd naar 8.65 MH/s. Deze kan nog hoger worden zodra de producten van concurrenten effectiever worden  . Persoonlijk vind ik het wel handig dat de miners van hun de eerste periode gehost worden. Dat heb ik liever dan dat ik zelf hier iets 24/7 moet draaien  , en bovendien kunnen zij (de hosters) kapotte devices direct vervangen. Maar dat is dus wel precies mijn probleem. Hoe kunnen ze eerst maar 960kh/s op een usb stick proppen, en nu opeens 14mh/s? Bij alpha hebben ze ook de behuizing moeten aanpassen, wat mij logisch lijkt als je gewoon meer chips in een miner wil stoppen. |

Ik heb zelf een Fibonacci Recursion gekocht. Die zou momenteel 8.65 MH/s moeten gaan leveren, maar dit kan goed nog meer worden in de toekomst. Ze worden eerst gehost door het bedrijf zelf. Ik hoop 'm over een paar maanden actief te hebben..
Ze zijn inmiddels al 12-14 mh/s . Fibonacci zou ook mijn grote "melkkoe" moeten worden. Ik ga steeds meer twijfelen aan fibonacci. Eerst 960kh/s, en magischerwijs wordt het steeds meer. Nu inmiddels dus al >12mh/s. Sorry, maar dat zijn zulke grote stappen dat ik steeds meer het idee krijg dat het één grote scam is. Dat probleem heb ik met alle bedrijven... Alpha-T was eerst 15 mh/s, en wordt magisch 100 mh/s nadat KNC zijn miner had aangekondigd. Hetzelfde voor Fibonacci, en Flowertech,, wellicht is het mogelijk en ben ik te sceptisch maar het is wel bijzonder in ieder geval. Alpha ging van 25 naar 90, dat is net geen 4x. Daar van kan ik me nog voorstellen dat het kan met optimalisaties en meer chips in de miner proppen. Ze hebben ook de behuizing aangepast, zowel de kleine als grote viper zijn nu 4u, dat brengt natuurlijk ook een besparing met zich mee. Het zou me niets verbazen als de miners >10x over de kop gaan, dus qua marge zou het ook wel moeten kunnen. Fibonacci vind ik echt een ander verhaal. Van 960kh/s naar 14mh/s is 14.5x meer. Daarnaast zijn ze extreem vaag over de setup qua aantal chips, formaat van de miners etc. Ook is hun prijs per mh/s echt heel laag in vergelijking met andere aanbieders. Ook vind ik het heel vreemd dat hij zegt de miners niet te releasen totdat een andere fabrikant voldoende in de buurt komt? Heel raar verhaal wat mij betreft. Ik zou zeggen release zo snel je kan, en blaas iedereen van de weg. Dan meteen doorontwikkelen voor een volgende versie. Flowertech volg ik niet echt. Maar goed, het blijft een vage business. Laten we hopen dat het goed uit pakt allemaal, en dat er geen massale scams tussen zitten.... |

I agree with other posters that this discussion needs to end. It is getting annoying. On the lightningasic website there are four skype id's: "altcoin", "tech.andy", "tech.henry" and "live:lightningasic". The last one is a stupid choice I think, since I thought that they ment 'For live support call id lightningasic', but apparently the 'live' and the colon are part of the skype id. This can be confusing. When I look at Google's cached version of may 13th 2014 03:10:58 GMT, the only difference I see is that they added "tech.andy", and moved "live:lightningasic" to the end. The id's didn't change. They also added the line "Don't pay to other btc address. only the address on bitcointalk thread, or place order here via web store." |

I wouldn't go as far as shouting Scam, but rather, non-performance, disappointment and a bit of deception.
6 months after the launch of Globe, and 3 months after the "Ready for action" slogan, I believe that we, "the GLB community", who mined and supported GLB, have to take some actions and make decisions. Sphere has not been able to promote the coin - other than to do some lame giveaways that usually find their way directly to the exchange, upon award, thus contributing to lowering the market price.
I would suggest to vote on either Airdropping all the remaining GLBs that have been collected so far - that we mined. One Airdrop system could be to demonstrate the ownership of GLB addresses, at a certain date. Then, using the block explorer, allocate to each one of those addresses a percentage of the funds currently available in the Tax bucket.
Another method could be to give everything away to charity. Then, request Sphere to transfer ownership of the tax wallet to them. They could promise to only sell at least 6 months old GLB, at a time, to support their charity, which would correspond to only 1200 GLB per day on the exchange.
Another method would be to destroy the tax deposit addresses by changing the private keys to a random hash (there are only a few deposit addresses used).
Something has to be done...
I agree, And I can't really think of another option. Sphere said he would use it for development/promotion, but I haven't seen any of it. But at least someone is buying GLB again at the moment at poloniex |

I think the idea is great.
Maybe you could start by trying to get spondoolies, who has the most efficient chip at the moment, to share their chip design with you, so you can have them produced on your own. Then we only need a board design, which they might share with you as well.
Spondoolies claims to be aiming at more decentralization, so it's worth a try...
This would be a great start, and you could use the small profit to start developing your own next gen asic.

Waarom zou je een miner verhuren als het meer opleverd om zelf te minen?
Berekende prijs is : opbrengsten + stroomkosten + btw.
Het blijft jammer dat veel mensen vergeten dat je als een bedrijfzijnde kosten maakt. Pand,ob, personeel Etc.
Hoe je aan die 2,5x komt begrijp ik niet helemaal?
Verhuren vs zelf minen moet je zelf weten uiteraard. Maar als je dan besluit ze te verhuren/verkopen, doe het tegen een redelijke prijs. Een antminer kost op dit moment 0.516BTC. Dat is rond de €165. Even van maximale belasting uitgaand, komt daar 21% btw en rond de €15 aan inklaringskosten bij. Dan zit ik op zeg €215 euro. Dan heb je dus de aanschaf er binnnen twee maanden uit als je ze verhuurt voor de door jou genoemde prijs. Rekenvoorbeeld voor aanschaf vs huren Aanschaf: €215 Stroom: 365*24=8760uur, aan laten we zeggen 400W. Ik betaal op dit moment €0.205 per kw/h, dus 0.4*0.205=€0.082/uur. Dat is €718.32 totaal. Totale kosten voor een jaar: €933.32 Huur totaal 12*170= €2040 Kortom: flink meer dan 2x zoveel. Ja, je hebt de prijs nu naar €150 gebracht, maar dan zit je nog op €1800 (net minder dan 2x zoveel). Als je het goed op zet heb je als bedrijf ook nog eens flinke korting op de stroom, dus worden jou kosten wat dat betreft lager. Ik snap dat je winst wil maken als bedrijf, en dat je andere kosten hebt, maar dit verschil is gewoon veel te groot. Zeker in deze business. De GAWminers kom ik inderdaad niet meer op 2.5x ik had het uitgerekend, maar wellicht heb ik een fout gemaakt. Of je hebt de prijzen in de tussentijd aangepast. Je maakt nogsteeds zo'n €1100,- winst op een Black Widow, wat ik érg veel vind voor simpel bestellen, misschien opnieuw verpakken, en doorverzenden. Uiteraard ben je vrij om te vragen wat je wil. Ik wijs je er alleen op dat ik denk dat je binnen deze community weinig zal verkopen. Volgens mij zijn de mensen hier absoluut niet bang om zelf iets in het buitenland te bestellen, dus is er geen voordeel van het bij jou bestellen. |

I like what you are trying with gridseed. They did they exact same kind of overnight almost 50% pricedrop with the 5-chip miners. That's also exactly the reason why I didn't buy a blade or any extra 5-chip miners after my first order. I don't want to buy something that depreciates 50% overnight without any warning. I know asics depreciate fast, but it shouldn't be that fast.
I am considering ordering some new miners from you guys. One thing I don't understand is that the Fury, Falcon and Black Widow seem to be the exact same case, with 2x 8 pin (pci-e?) power. Is this correct, or are the cases actually different? If not, are the different miners upgradeable to higher speeds (Fury to Black Widow to Falcon)?
What I also would like to know is if the chip really is your design and product? So no sudden price drops from suppliers etc?
