PMC on a slight climb... volume still kind of low... Lets hope this is the Hashcows effect starting to work...
Yeah, I noticed that. I am now only getting around 25-30PMC/mhs/day, instead of 35-40 when I started mining at hashcows There could have been some 'reward' coin coming your way... 'nearmiss' said he was planning to return all the gathered PMC to the miners... When that is all gone we will have a better idea of whats going on... Keep mining! I am trying to get a gridseed myself... I think you should be able to get some quite cheap with the A2 miners coming out now. Did you take a look at GAW miners? They have a 1MHS next gen device for $220, which is quite a good deal I think.

I would seriously file a claim with your old hosting provider. You are at about 1/3 of the volume you used to have. It is costing you a lot of money and time to have the site down and move servers.

From Sean's Outpost: "Jason King We are in a state of emergency. Massive flooding in Pensacola. We are one of the only groups standing in the ground assisting. Does PMC want to fundraise for us to help?" http://seansoutpost.com/donate/The Sean's Outpost Address is: PMC: 17BTDGtpGyPvBoV48Tf9jNEV4ZfvdqmFYw Please follow the link for other crypto Git Er Done folks! ( I sent 80 PMC I wish I could have sent more ) I sent some too.

Oooooh... I want the little 0.5 BTC BTC/LTC miner from lightning asic..!
0.5BTC per miner is really expensive now. You get a controller with it though, which is nice (so it's a standalone solution). It think you could better buy it at gawminers, or one of the many group buys (there are some for <$90). Those are without any accesoiries, but you can connect them to any pc or raspi.

I am requesting for some coins.
Please send me some, thanks.
Ok, sent you 5. You can now mine or buy PMC, so I think there are enough ways to get some yourself

What about a private sale of this kind of PMC? To avoid crashing the price on Poloniex... Or a timed sale on Poloniex to increase volume..
I like the group buy idea more than the competition, because 1.The competition will only run for 1 month, and I dont think the rise in price would be sustainable for the long run. The big miners will be here only for price money and they will be dumping their PMCs as soon as the competition is over. 2. The group buy will be supported by people who actually care about PMC, which will be good for the coin in the long run. I think we need the OP or someone with technical knowledge in the community to think about introducing POS into PMC as kbf mentioned earlier. POS is the buzz word now and we should try to cash on it. It also conveys the message that the active PMC community is not reluctant to introduce new features and capabilities as required. As a side effect, it increases security too. First of all, I agree with you on POS. I think the need for SHA hashing without any reward is a real problem with this coin. It also makes it vulnerable to 51% attacks, since you will never get a huge hashrate without a reward system. I don't completely agree with you on the competition. If the competition really runs for a month it will create a lot of activity on the PMC network. Many transactions, trades, etc. It will get a lot more people to notice PMC, and maybe become a supporter of PMC. I also don't think everyone will dump their coins, since the people who do not win a price will want some reward for their month of mining, and thus are better off cashing out slowly.

Current prices at lightningasic are:
15mhs: 3000usd 30mhs: 5800usd 75mhs: 10000usd 90mhs: 12000usd
Can you buy these things with BTC? If so we could start a collection... PMC and BTC... Someone trustworthy needs to keep track of percentages etc...
You are our gridseed guy, so having you host it seems reasonable to me.... That also means you may have to put up a collection wallet...
I did the collection for Hashcows with a cold wallet that people could see and watch....
6 BTC gets us the slow one 15 mhs.... what kind of PMC would that bring in? ( assuming nothing else changes of course, in actuality PMC price should go up reducing the payouts in PMC )
We could also find a sha256 switching pool.
Yes, you can buy with BTC at current exchange rate. Prices are fixed in USD (as are most). I completely missed the SHA asic train, but I am trying to build a collection of scrypt asic gear now I also have a Alpha-t 16MHS miner in preorder. You can look at the hashcows profit stats here. At the moment it is around 0.005BTC/mhs/day. So 15mhs would give us 0.075BTC/day, which is around 640PMC/day at current poloniex price, or 750PMC/day at 10k satoshi. However, with the increase in scrypt asics I expect the average BTC/mhs/day to go down over time. On the other hand, there are very profitable scrypt coins every now and then, which sometimes bump the profit to around 0.01BTC/mhs/day. The problem with SHA switching pools is that only very rarly a SHA coin other than BTC is the most profitable. I could setup a cold/paper wallet. I have done so a few times with the online generator, I would have to check out how to do it offline first (to be entirely safe) before using one. What about a private sale of this kind of PMC? To avoid crashing the price on Poloniex... Or a timed sale on Poloniex to increase volume..
Private sale would be great. But we need to find someone who wants to buy 2BTC worth of PMC. Timed sale could work, if we really hype it on the trollbox

Just thought of an interesting idea:
A PMC mining contest @ Hashcows
Prizes:
Most PMC earned in a month: 1 BTC Second Most earned in a month: 0.5 BTC Third Most earned in a month: 0.25 BTC Random prize to ANYONE who earned at least 100 PMC: 0.25 BTC
( Yes, I said BTC not PMC )
This will require stats from 'nearmiss' of Hascows...
Think about this for a moment....
What would happen if suddenly a BUNCH of folks started choosing a PMC payout?
It's a great idea, but who is going to fund it? If you would want to fund it with PMC you need to sell 15-20k PMC, which would probably crash the price. We could also groupbuy one of those new 60mhs or 75mhs miners, and point them to the hashcows pool I like it How much do they cost these days? May be we should wait till they get a bit cheaper Current prices at lightningasic are (excluding import tax etc): 15mhs: 3000usd 30mhs: 5800usd 75mhs: 10000usd 90mhs: 12000usd We could wait until the first batch has been delivered, and more suppliers start popping up. The price will probably go down then. If we really want to go through with it, I am willing to host the miner for just the power cost (for as long as it is profitable). We could distribute the profits among the investors, donate a part of it or whatever we choose.

Well, sorted by volume we are still coin 33 from the bottom, and I don't think he will delist 33 coins at once. But you are right we need to keep up the buying pressure. I got ~125PMC with 1mhs with little less than 4 days of hashing in total. If everyone puts some hashes to the pool, there will be sufficient buying pressure. We could also groupbuy one of those new 60mhs or 75mhs miners, and point them to the hashcows pool

I have had controla working fine for two days now. Is there any chance hashra will update it with more frequencies? I used to run them at 875mhz, but now I can only choose 850 or 900.

Just a small update, I got ~35PMC yesterday. Payout seems to be 30-40PMC/mhs. This corresponds nicely with BTC payout, which has been between 0.003 and 0.005 BTC/mhs.

Finally got some gridseeds working with hashcows! So, I put some hashes there, let's see what the pay out is How is it looking for you so far? It's working fine. Got a payout of 22PMC yesterday. I am up to 20PMC exchanged again now. I only find the stats at hashcows a bit lacking, I would like to get more info, and see things like hashrate graphs. I'v been trying to get my 6950 to work with hashcows however my computer locks up after about a half hour of mining, forcing me to restart it. Even when its working i get a large amount of stales. Not sure whats going on, never had these issues with the same settings on other pools. No idea what the problem is. Is it not getting hot or something? I stopped using gpus two months ago, I only have a few gridseeds now.
