702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Giveaway threads are not allowed on: January 27, 2014, 12:10:22 PM
Complaining about having a lot of active users is the most ridiculous thing ever. Most websites/forums wish they had this many active users. Using an entirely new forum for each altcoin does not work, since everything will get way to scattered then.

That is why I think banning giveaways is not a good idea at all. It is a good way to gather some interest for a new coin. It is also a good way to get some coins to start with if you are late with mining.

I think you should just make a subforum for giveaways, that will not be included in the recent threads list, if that's what's bothering you.
703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Premine [PMC] Giveaway! on: January 27, 2014, 11:18:44 AM
Ok, gave everyone some premine. I will stop this giveaway now, since there is an automated faucet.

Please go to the faucet at http://faucet.premineco.in/

Rewards will decrease as more users take advantage of the faucet. At this rate there's enough coins for a year.

Use the referral link bellow the captcha field and spread it around for 15% bonus.
http://faucet.premineco.in/

is loaded - spread the word.

The rewards seem pretty high for an hourly cash-out, tbh.

Is it possible to put the amount remaining in the faucet on the homepage? Now the only way to view the remaining balance is by using the faucet.

Hello!
yes 4GB RAM is indeed too small I think. Increase it to 16GB (if you can) to be comfortable, but maybe 8GB may suffice for 3 280x I don't know. Also, AMD Sempron 145's power consumption is lower.

Seriously? My cgminer is using 24mB of ram with ~800kh/s.
709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Premine [PMC] Giveaway! on: January 26, 2014, 01:42:54 PM
For anyone who wants a bit more premine, there is a faucet launched here!
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine! - 100% Premine / 100% Distribution - Mining TX fees only on: January 26, 2014, 01:41:01 PM
That's 10 to 50k microPrimes Wink
Faucet is all good to go. Rewards suck atm, site needs a nice theme, open to suggestions on the timing/rewards. There's currently only 10 PMC in balance, you can deposit directly there on 1PFZDyfixDkzLof2iNzfLW2SF2Tnb15Mz7 and you can tip me for my efforts on 1DrxMts1ywGM9Ufhgi1FmnX8hmoA3JajrV

http://faucet.premineco.in/

Have fun!

10k to 50k rewards?
Yep 20k microPrimes per transaction. I know numbers are not ideal, any input would be much appreciated.

I've just tested it out, seems to be working. Could you include a minimal transaction fee into each faucet payout? That would help the network a bit already.

Ok, but that's not what it says Wink Maybe you should put the micro sign in front. Also I think it would be nice to link back to this thread. And put the faucet donation address on the page!

I will also donate to anyone else who supports the network right now. I would need proof that you're on the network and that you've been hashing long enough to help move some blocks, but I am willing to give PMC to those that can point their hashpower at PMC.

Call it compensation for the low block rewards.

If there is a save way to do so i will donate more.
A way to support the miners would if we send coins with a high fee between our adresses.
Any other idea?

Use block explorer and send some coins to all miners who mined past blocks but received no coins at all. Start with blocks after
9249 since it is then when generation of coins stopped.

http://cryptexplorer.com/chain/Premine?hi=9255&count=20

Great idea! I'll get to it later.

Is there a way to send payments to multiple addresses at once? I can write a script to harvest addresses from the block explorer then send them all payment in bulk. I would make the script freely available to others so they can send payments to miners who get 0 block rewards.

This could work in the short term until the new wallet is out.

The wallet has a 'sendmany' function in the console. If you could make your script output in the correct format, this could be a great way to solve the current issues!

there is no way to send an extra PMC to any adress mining a block ?

I think if you want to do this then set tx fee to 1 PMC instead of the default 0.01?

I'm attempting to mine it now but not sure hw much difference 1 BE will make

You could manually send some PMC to the one finding the block as listed in the block explorer I guess? But that is extremely labour intensive.
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine! - 100% Premine / 100% Distribution - Mining TX fees only on: January 26, 2014, 12:53:09 PM
Yeah, keeping the network up with those fees is difficult. I am not going to put any serious hashpower to the network, but I don't have block erupters either. So for now just cpu mining with the wallet.

Would it not be better to use this as the coin's logo?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=427519.msg4713616#msg4713616

I much prefer it to the original, and it would look half decent on an exchange.

Perhaps we need a bounty/competition for the best logo design? I'd be happy to run with that. Get it done in time for the new wallet.

I agree with this. We need a better logo. I think this is a nice candidate!
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Premine [PMC] Giveaway! on: January 26, 2014, 02:45:55 AM
Sent some more.

Some of you guys should really start being a little more active on the forum, and not just responding to giveaways...

Nope! I will only rest when I own over 51% - hahaha.  But that will never happen with my small rigs - whenever a 300+ GH rig shows up, my "hardware" feels so inadequate...

My bid only reflects the average bid price on the exchange - Sphere could have gone on the exchange and buy them for that price today.

hahaha, would love to own 51%. I share your feeling, but I'm not going to buy those ridiculously expensive asics for globe at the moment...

I understand where your bid is coming from, and I think the price is still low, but I only have a tiny bit of BTC, so I can't really bid a lot Tongue

0.25 BTC  - hope I get them this time!

Still not satisfied with the amount you have already? Cheesy
