Hej body, start read:
[05.03.2014 13:19:56] Me: and total cost for device and shipment is 280USD?
[05.03.2014 13:20:37] altcoin: YEs

price given to me was included device and shippning costs

Yeah, but you should have made sure he still knew that after two days... It seems to me he just matched the price you linked, and you didn't talk about shipping cost anymore.

Please do not excuse him (asiabtc), it is his job to check this kind of things.
In this case, if he made mistake and did not check history of conversation asiabtc should agree to give me back my BTC, but he did not !!! For this is only one word: THIEF - he is not sending my device to me and parallely he is not going to return my BTC.

I am just saying he is very busy, so I can understand things like this go wrong. I do fully agree with you however that any business, so lightningasic included, should issue refunds when a customer requests on (maybe with the exception of custom built products etc). I really don't understand why some companies are being so difficult when it comes to refunds.
425  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: SCRYPT ASIC miner ready. BTC+LTC ASIC miner; LA1THS, usd4500, stock ready now. on: March 24, 2014, 09:28:54 AM
Warning!!!
7th of march I ordered and paid sha256+scrypt combo device (device plus shipment costs), till now I did not receive anything. Each time when I ask mr AsiaBTC about shipment details via Skype, I receive answer : tommorow. In the meantime (18th march) this man tried to rise price by next 0,2 btc explaining that this is cost of shipment. Of course I did not agree to pay some extra money. I write it to warn all of you, to do not waste your money for this man. All skype conversation with AsiaBTC I can send anybody as a proof.

Of coure when I get device I will write proper information on this forum

asiabtc will never ask for more money after u have paid what he told u to

427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With ASICs on the horizon should DigiByte switch algorithms? on: March 22, 2014, 11:31:53 PM
Don't you think it is actually good that scrypt asics are coming? This can only make your network more secure, if you manage to maintain a high hashrate that is.
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CARBONCOIN: The Completely Carbon Neutral Cryptocurrency on: March 22, 2014, 11:27:01 PM
They dont want the site disclosed because they dont want people to feel like they can just turn up and visit, I assume. This will not be an issue with some subsequent sites, but I feel finding this one to get things started has been quite a significant achievement!

Ok, fine, but with the amount of scams going on here having some verification would be nice. Even if the photo is real, there is no proof this is your plantation and not just a random one. The method you propose could be good, although a 10BTC donation may be a bit on the high end.

My apologies about the colourisation - that was an artistic touch done by one of the team - but does not affect the accuracy of the trees or the validity of the image. The bottom one (and the one originally posted in this thread) is pretty much as shot fyi.

Ok. The bottom photo also looks a bit strange to me. However, I have just spent a good 15 min googleing images of tree tubes, and they seem to play tricks with the camera more often, since they are highly translucent.

Now, I am going to be slightly firm with you here regarding your suggestion (insult) that the trees have been planted too close together to be able to grow and not in straight lines.

Firstly, can you let me know what experience you have of professional forestry?

It is much better for trees to be planted not in straight lines, the spacing is the key thing. Heard of up and down ploughing? Primary school geography... Same principle just bigger.

These trees have been planted in accordance with the density guidelines of the Forestry Commission by a professional in the field (yes! Smiley ).

The second thing is, how on earth can you profess to know the spacing of the trees from a photograph taken near horizontally? You absolutely can't. The trees, which I was comfortably standing amongst and walking through, are all over one metre apart. Have you something against what we are trying to do here? Strikes me with this you are being a little too skeptical.

No, I have no experience in professional forestry. I do understand that spacing is the key, and straight lines aren't necessary, but still the spacing seems highly irregular.

What is it in particular you are finding hard to believe? It's good to know so that I can address this as a matter of urgency.

As a side note I would be grateful for any suggestions you may have of material ideas for helping the environment and cleaning up the atmosphere and then perhaps we can look to getting those actioned

I'm finding it hard to believe you are actually buying trees from the donated money, instead of just taking photographs of a random tree plantation and claiming it's yours. There have been so many scams around here, and to me this just sounds like the latest incarnation of a scamcoin. Yes, I may be extremely sceptical, but so are many other on this forum atm. Without some solid proof that you are actually doing what you say you are doing, I see no reason to believe you.
429  Local / Mining (Nederlands) / Re: Interesse in KNC Scrypt miner groupbuy? on: March 22, 2014, 10:25:17 PM
Het antwoord is heel simpel (en voorspelbaar)

Is VAT included in the price? ▾
No, VAT is not included. VAT is calculated by your country of origin and added at checkout where applicable.

430  Local / Mining (Nederlands) / Re: Interesse in KNC Scrypt miner groupbuy? on: March 22, 2014, 04:29:36 PM

434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CARBONCOIN: The Completely Carbon Neutral Cryptocurrency on: March 22, 2014, 02:21:20 PM
So this is a relaunch? What do you base the CARB price on for the trees? The price at cryptorush is lower than 1M CARB for 0.015BTC.

Also, do you have any proof you are actually planting trees? What are the locations (google maps link?)? You photo with the poles seems photoshopped to me.

Thank you for your questions. The estate for the first planting does not wish me to disclose the location but I can confirm it is in Hampshire in the United Kingdom. We are in a rare position where we can plant trees which will be left to live for as long as they do on the site, without having to go to the expense of purchasing land and getting planning permission to do so, which would be both costly and time consuming.

When you say the image looks photoshopped what do you mean exactly? Having taken the photograph myself a fortnight ago I am eager to understand what you have spotted.

The price I have for planting a tree is in fiat money is the price in BTC and LTC give or take some small price fluctuations. Any donations in CARB will not be sold at current price levels. The discount is to stimulate purchase and trading of Carboncoin. Carboncoin is carbon neutral already because of the saplings you can see in the image. We would prefer to receive donations in Carboncoin.

I have other images and these are posted on the websites which I would thank you to take a look at.

I hope this goes some way to addressing your concerns and appreciate your interest.

AM

Why would they not want you to disclose the location?

What I mean by photoshopped? Maybe it's just that the lighting seems off, but I can't really say what it is specifically. It is clear however that you have been doing something with photoshop, when comparing the images from your two websites:

Also, I've seen many planted forests, and in general these are made up of nice straight lines, to ensure optimized spacing between the trees. In your image many of the trees are much to close to each other to be able to grow.

439  Local / Mining (Nederlands) / Re: Scrypt ASIC on: March 21, 2014, 04:13:30 PM
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: March 20, 2014, 04:18:57 PM
I have 1 BTC coming soon-ish... like in a week. I plan to spend it all on PMC..
I 'almost' hope the price stays low low low before I jump in...
I have .5 btc i can invest now, but i felt it wasnt enough to build a proper wall, or get the value up high enough to get the attention PMC needs to hold it. If you already have a good holding and are investing to raise the value back up I feel you, me, and anyone else who would like to join should determine a price to build a buy wall at and coordinate this. 2-3 btc would be enough to hold the price over .001 long enough to get noticed on coinmarketcap which in turn will attract other investers!
I can set up a special "big investers" section on the forum if there is interest in coordinating something like this.

at the current price, a 1btc investment may make you the 1st or 2nd largest PMC stakeholder  =p

I could chip in 0.1 BTC or so. It's not much, but it could help if we decide to join forces Smiley
