A major problem is that this requires trusting the exchange. If the exchange is unknown, how can people be sure there is no corruption? The address will of course be available 24/7 for the community to check the amount inside the wallet.
Do any exchanges keep all of the Riecoin for a given account at one address? Finally, before I forget, there is a 200 RIC fee to join this foundation. It is to make sure you are serious and dedicated. I don't think this is necessary. It should be easy enough to determine if one is serious through other means. I strongly oppose this. You will also have to reveal your real life identity to the foundation so that we can release this information if you abuse the foundation in any possible ways. I also oppose this. The information will be kept private from the public of course. How can anyone trust this will be the case? This trusts the 5 people fully and equally. I think a better system is to have trusted parties control arbitrary amounts of the foundation's funds. This system is better because it is not as convoluted, and it is more open and transparent. Rather than making personal information public for accountability, the party will lose all of the trust it had. You have a point. But entrusting any amount of RIC to one individual is too risky even if you split it amongst five. I would rather rely on the current exchanges we have now AGX.io and Poloniex.com owner are identified. Only worries is Mintpal and BTC38. Maybe a solution is to keep a arbitrary amount in multiple random exchanges and withdraw them every month and mix them around the exchanges we have right now? I am for suggestions. Guess for now, I will just take up names of people who are interested in becoming part of the foundation. hmmm, great idea, hard to figure out how best to execute it though. I agree that its probably best if there are not minimum donation limits or requirements to be public to join the foundation. Although that said, I'm happy put 200RIC towards this as well - and don't worry NR, you'll get your bounty for sure when the new site goes live..... A divided foundation could maybe work. I'm not sure whats best. Lets all think on this some more, but definitely something we need to do one way or another. Oh and thoughts on website design, while I'm here. I check in every day or 2, read one page, and its just always the same thing.
They don't want cheap coins, they're not here to help anyone, and its hard to imagine someone having a vendetta for Payu.
One way or another someone feels threatened by this coin's existence and wants it to go away.

Dividing balances would be OK, especially if Cryptsy re-listed. But in my opinion, don't add decimals places to CENT. IF you do, what has it gone thats unique from other coins anymore?
Oh hey, I also made a video to promote CENT 3 months ago and posted it into the pennies foundation forum, but I don't think they exist anymore and I never heard anything more about it. I'll try and dig it up and share, could help with the relaunch.

There will be a rebound of all alts at some point - same thing happened in December. The coins with the most potential will see the biggest rises from the flood of new money. That was sparked by a lot of people getting rich on Bitcoin really fast in November. Doesn't mean that's how it will pan out next time, but interest in alt coins will return, its inevitable... Either that or bitcoin will dominate everything (highly unlikely) or we'll all be put in an open air techno prison and continue trading the chits given to us by our banking overlords.

Go on coin market caps any day. Seeing 30-50% losses in a day is nothing. A dozen perfectly working coins do that every day at least.

All cryptos are down people, its happening all over. Its not an issue with any one coin - nothing to worry about, don't sell your cryptos, coins aren't dying. Maza is fine like any other. Hard for any alt currency to get many investors right now.

Will that include BTC and MZC? probably, they have everything needed to achieve the ends already so why would something else replace them? The revolution is inevitable, these currencies never die or cease to exist. So every time the world gets worse and the system gets more unfair, more of the world's billions start looking at cryptos. Also, don't bother engaging people who are saying things about teepees and making jokes about people's religions - its not worth any of our time. That said, I still wish there was somewhere people could efficiently talk about Maza in a constructive way. Maybe someone could set up a dedicated forum for Maza issues? I'm not cool and I'm not "tuff"..... I do use a calculator though. Buys and sells like he's at a casino. This is why Bitcoin still has trouble gaining traction in the mainstream. Far too many gamblers and few too many investors. I have proudly never sold any virtual currency - EVER. I'm waiting for the day we're free of banks and I can use them for goods. . . .So long as gamblers continue to plague this movement we can expect more centralization, tyranny and violence. But congrats on what you think is a profit, have you converted into something real yet I hope? Otherwise it remains a number on a screen. I bought MZC at 500 and I'll gladly ride it right back down there. I believe in it, this is a good focus for a coin, this can help people. As to the naysayers and haters.
I don't think they're here to push down price, not worth the bother and I don't think its effective. I also don't think they're here out of spite, no one would hang on that long after they cut their loss and ran. So what does that leave? Bitcoiners worried about the rise of national currencies, maybe, but they've got their own things to worry about and should by now expect that alts will succeed as BTC succeeds - there will be no bitcoin only future. So maybe Fudsters are from the gov? I don't think so, they would be much more concerned with Bitcoin right now to bother.
What does that leave? Racism. Now I'm not accusing those who are here for legit conversation, I can be critical too, but I'm referring to the people that just won't give up saying the same things over and over with a very negative attitude. The old thread definitely had some racist comments earlier on, but they died down after it was evident how ineffective that is for rallying support. I believe the ones who really can't leave it alone and seem to be here despite no stake in the coin are here because they see the potential in this coin and will do whatever necessary to fight it out of hatred. Prove me wrong, explain what the motivation could possible be.
Whatever the scope of this thread and the last. I promise you day traders and fudsters are not here to save you money. Figure out why they're here for yourself.

It sucks, I know I lost money too, I think it's time we put this one to bed.
That's why they need to correct the mining side of things. If that's what stands in their way for bringing the price back up, then they should do it immediately. Again, why would the tribe accept and adopt a worthless currency? They wouldn't and that's why Payu and the devs need to correct this issue right away. Yea if that's all it takes, we're fine here really. Nothing else wrong with their plans here at all, this coin has, and will always maintain incredible potential until someone else comes out with a better coin for the Lakotas. Highly unlikely I'd say, especially since the chief's already signed off on the creation of this. |
