I haven't been here in years and the software still isn't running? Lol. Admins fumbled the bag here big time.

Using civilian buildings like a hospital for military purposes is a war crime.

If Israel doesn't bomb these military installments it will simply encourage more war crimes by Hamas. Hiding behind innocent people cannot provide immunity because it just encourages more of it.

costs 3 percent in miami, 4-5 percent in new york, less on the west coast. not familiar with tulsa but you won't build out charging people 15 percent to convert their cash to coins. even in europe where aml is much more stringent, anyone with common sense wouldn't pay over 5-6 percent for cash to coins.
AML is more stringent in Europe? How many Europeans are there in prison for operating an unlicensed money service business?
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Price at time of transaction? on: August 07, 2022, 02:29:51 PM
Are there any block explorers that will show you the amount in dollars at the time of transaction?
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can my FTX short position make a recovery? on: June 27, 2022, 08:41:49 AM
Leveraged tokens are a good way to be basically right, but still lose money.
6  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Considering doing OTC BTC/CASH side hustle? Input? on: June 27, 2022, 08:36:46 AM
It's rare for anyone to charge more than 10% besides ATMs. Also, since you're doing it as a business you'll need to look into MSB registration and implementing an AML/KYC policy.
7  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CryptoRanking: CHOOSE BEST CRYPTO EXCHANGE IN 2022 on: June 24, 2022, 10:12:55 AM
I just go to Coinmarketcap and sort by volume. High volume = large size and low fees.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which exchange has less hassles in terms of multiple verifications? on: June 22, 2022, 11:09:44 AM
Bisq is the best decentralized exchanges, followed with localcryptos and hodl hodl.

Agoradesk is a P2P exchange like Localbitcoins. It's run by same company as Localmonero. Coinmarketcap does not include P2P exchanges.

Personal Information

We collect personal data that you volunteer on forms which you submit to us and in emails that you send to us. In addition we automatically gather details of browser types and IP addresses of the users who visit our site. We do not release this information to any outside party, except in suspected fraud cases. When fraudulent activity is suspected, we may release the users details to the party that the user has been trading with. This is done only if there is strong evidence of fraud.
Not a good decentralized exchanges and localbitcoins is a custodial P2P that will ask your KYC.

I hardly see anything wrong with those terms. Pretty standard. Agoradesk has an onion address too.
Bisq penalizes users for needing KYC, which literally forces users in certain jurisdictions to break the law. Also a risk when accepting reversible payment methods. No thank you.
Localcryptos admins are clueless and disrespectful based on my brief experience trading there. I would never recommend it. It's Ethereum-focused too. Has far less traders than Agoradesk.
I checked Hodl Hodl and there were very few ads. It looks like no one uses it.
9  Economy / Gambling / Re: I miss the old OnChain gambling on: June 21, 2022, 11:28:47 AM
Onchain gambling is gone, it was one of the first ways to gamble our bitcoins... The casinos used to be totally anonymous, to the point where you don't have to create an account on the casino to place a bet. And that was what I call freedom.

When I join to this crypto world in 2014, there use to be 2 casinos with this feature, their name was Lucky bit and Satoshi Bones. And their games have a unique address where you can send your coins and get back to the bet result to the address where the bet comes from. That was how they didn't ask for an account to place a bet.

Those engines were provably fair, and the max wins were up to 100BTC in lucky bit (in that time BTC was at $500 approx) but still huge.

The new casinos are crazy with their KYC rules and customer support. They hold users' money as if they were the owners of the money, and you can find all the same slots games bringing a lack of original and probably fair games.

Maybe regulation brings us to the current situation, but in the past was funnier, fair, and legit. And that's why I miss the old onchain gambling.

Do you remember those old casinos, and what are your thoughts about the current gaming sites compared with the old ones?

Traditional gambling with bitcoin is dead basically. Now people just gamble with altcoins.

You can try Kucoin or OKX, but always know that they are centralized exchanges, they may request for verification at any time.

It's been a while since I signed up, but I think Kucoin is pretty easy. For P2P trading the Agoradesk platform itself has zero KYC.
Which exchange is called Agoradesk? No exchange called that name as I checked Coinmarketcap. @Hannan, avoid that, it is not a crypto exchange is all I am thinking.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most influential people in the crypto history on: June 20, 2022, 08:32:32 AM
I'd include more exchange founders rather than just developers.

Bitfinex & Tether folks. They tend to keep a lower profile, so not even sure who is most responsible for their actions.

Mark Karpeles

Billy Markus & Jackson Palmer. Despite not doing a whole lot of anything, they started the dumb altcoin trend which lives on to this day.

The ETH DAO exploiter for forever changing what is acceptable in this space. If you lose money just fork the blockchain!

I wouldn't include some of those altcoin/DeFi developers.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should newbies Invest in new Projects on: June 20, 2022, 08:19:51 AM
I think newbies should actually invest in new projects. You don't need a lot of money to get a lot of crappy altcoins. You can make astronomical returns with these altcoins. Typically after a few months of experience users realize how stupid most of these altcoins are and are no longer able to really believe in them, so it's smart to take advantage of the opportunity while you're still dumb enough.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Circle Announces Euro Coin (EUROC) on: June 20, 2022, 08:16:47 AM
Stablecoins are a good business. Does anyone know if this is 50% owned by Coinbase like USDC? USDC is one the main reasons I think COIN is a good investment at these prices.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which stablecoin do you "trust" the most? on: June 20, 2022, 08:15:28 AM
USDC is likely the best stablecoin. It is widely used and actually backed by dollars in the bank.

Paxos and BUSD (they're both issued by Paxos) are okay. Paxos is extremely risk averse which can sometimes lead to outcomes that don't benefit the users.

I don't like GUSD because Gemini stole users' forkcoins yet those two little pricks prance around like they're the most noble people on the planet when they're actually thieves.

People say DAI is very safe, but they said the same about UST. I would stick to stablecoins backed by dollars, not equivalent amounts of cryptocurrency.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If USDD is "overcollaterized", why did it lose its peg? on: June 20, 2022, 08:10:54 AM
This crash will all be worth it if Justin Sun gets rekt.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu Could Reach $5 By 2050 !!!??? on: June 20, 2022, 08:10:01 AM
At $5 Shiba Inu's market cap would be 2.5 quadrillion dollars. This is more than the value of the entirety of Earth.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At what age did you start learning about bitcoin? on: May 23, 2022, 09:28:55 AM
First heard about it when I was 16. Can't believe how long I have been dedicating my time to Bitcoin.
19  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: First mixer sanctioned by US authorities (blender.io) on: May 23, 2022, 09:26:44 AM
Is anyone else worried about what may happen if you move funds from a mixer to big exchanges after this? Of course one could always do another hop to "unlink" a set of coins from a mixer, but how many would be enough?

I think that's the least of your worries if you're in the US.
Lately exchanges have increased their demands about the funds inch by inch, asking you when you get them, where you get them, proof on how you've got them, with what funds, probably ending with questions about the the pubic hair color of the dog of the cousin of the one that sold you the coins. So just obfuscating the chain of transactions won't help too much you in these cases.

That being said, I made once stupid mistake of sending coins mixed through CM directly to Bitstamp the mother and father of all KYC, nothing has happened yet, deposit and SEPA without a hiccup, so probably it's not yet such a big deal. Exchanges will try to delay any such actions as long as they can, they are losing money and volume, they might want to obey the law but not to the point when it strat costing them money.

Nah, they don't really care, people who use mixers are such a small percentage of their business. Vast majority of users never take their coins off of the exchange and just trade back and forth, which is their bread and butter. Those that do are probably just buying jpegs or whatever. Most of the illegal activity nowadays has nothig to do with darknet markets or mixers and has all to do with ponzis, jpeg scams, altcoin scams, romance scams, etc.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Phones on mobile wallet becoming riskier on: May 23, 2022, 09:23:22 AM
If you're worried about mugging a mobile wallet is a million times better than a hardware wallet. As long as you aren't wearing a shirt with a big B with a line through it nobody will be the wiser. I always try to use multisig so an attacker (physical or digital) needs more than one of my devices to steal my coins.
