1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John "fucking" McAfee: I will reveal Satoshi on: April 20, 2019, 12:05:20 PM
I don't know if he really knows who he is, but he is probably the most credible person to come forwards claiming to know or be him. That itself is not really difficult with the string of charlatans who have pretended in the past, but it is entirely possible given his past that he does know and again entirely possible this is just another John McAfee PR stunt.

John McAfee credible? Does not compute. McAfee would say anything as long as you paid him to do so. He's either trolling or is on under the influence of drugs, but either way he only has his own interests heart so he's only saying this for his own agenda whatever that may be. I would say with a strong degree of certainty that he doesn't know who satoshi is. He's probably just doing this for the attention to be honest. He's built his brand these last ten years or so by courting controversy and getting his name in the media and this is along the lines of the same sort of shtick he's always done.

Why did Jose get so aggressive yesterday after the game? Did one of the Chelsea team/staff say something to him? Her got up like someone had just insulted his wife in club or something and he was ready to fight  Grin.

Only one game in the Premier League today, Everton v Crystal Palace, I think the qctual result could go either way so I think under 2.5 goals is a sensible bet on this one.

I would agree under 2.5. Maybe 1-0 or 1-1.
3  Other / Off-topic / Re: I always feel tired on: October 17, 2018, 01:03:50 PM
Did anyone have such a thing that you constantly feel tired, do not want to do anything? I always have this. I do not know what to do. My health is fine, i think. Who has ideas?

Health is fine according to who? Have you had medical advice. Sometimes you might feel ok, but your body could be missing something it badly needs. Go get some blood tests done as they can often tell you a lot. Things like vitamin d deficiency are quite common these days and are a big cause of fatigue but your bloodwork will tell you whether or no that is the case.

Well I always fell like this. Coffe helps a bit but not really. Now I am trying to boost myself up with Matcha tea - must say it works quite well - more caffeine than coffee!

On the other hand I found hyperactive and full of energy people quite anoying - nothing better than a little boered person Smiley

Things like caffeine are only a temporary fix that will only artificially perk you up. Might as well recommend cocaine as well lol. If someone has fatigue then coffee isn't going to do much and will probably just lead to a bigger crash where you feel even more lethargic after the caffeine wears off.

I was hoping that Manchester to draw or lose this game in order for Mourinho to go away. Even with this win I think he has nothing more to give to Manchester United, after so many years being the director of Manchester United the best he achieved is an Europa League trophy. In the Premier League Manchester United is struggling a lot.

I'll agree I am a long term Manchester United fan but was wishing for a negative result as I feel Mourinho had to goo, but I can't admit Manchester United played like sir Alex ways attack and win, if you remember they were called come back kings. It's also pertinent to note Valencia has been continuously been dropped, Pogba started and his flick to Martial was brilliant, and the forgotten man Sanchez rescued Mourinho. Its ironic that goals from Mata, Martial and Sanchez saved Mourinho especially all three have been reduced to fringes, it'll be interesting if these three keep their places going forward.

Why do you want him to go so bad? What is it you think he's doing that is so wrong and who would you prefer he is replaced by? Is it just because they're not first place? They've drawn and lost only one game each out of their last five. Sometimes teams go through a bad patch but often a good manager will turn it around, but unfortunately a lot of them get sacked these days before they even get the chance too.

Low scoring game tonight from Liverpool vs Manchester City which was I think also the main event for this week of Premier League. I was a bit surprised at the result of 0-0 when Liverpool did score goals in every other game of Premier League they played and Manchester City did even better by scoring a lot of goals.

That game was quite boring. They just cancelled each other out. Liverpool were lucky to hang onto a point however, which was surprising to me as I thought Liverpool would be the better team here, especially with it being at Anfield.

Sorry for taking some time to respond to some of the messages back, kinda miss this thread and have been away from the from the forum for a little.

Quote
What happens if you use the free energy from the solar panels on your house? That seems to me to be more efficient than oil-powered cars and certainly cheaper (assuming you don't but a ridiculously expensive electric car that will take you a lifetime to recoup the costs of).

I mean, solar panels aren't free and shouldn't be thought of as producing 'free energy' the energy is only free once your investment (which is rather large to get these installed) is paid off. Until that is done, you should do some calculations to see how much you invested to put those up, maintain, etc.

But I do see your point, though people fall into this trap of thinking that energy is free if it's solar -- while it's not. You without a doubt reduce costs after them being paid back after 30 yrs (depending on financial situation, of course) but there's no such thing as instant free / free lunch.

We can certainly argue over the definition of free, but I would say if I plant some apple trees and they give me fruit for nothing then I would say those apples are free even if I had to purchase the seeds and look after them as saplings initially. Sometimes you need to invest a little money into something that bears fruit but after that I would say it's free. The initial cost of fitting the solar panels will soon enough pay for themselves with the money you are saving and once they're paid off I would then say that energy is free so sometimes you've got to spend money to save money.

Anyway, besides Zidane, who else is on the list?  Conte?  Luis Enrique?

The one and only ZIDANE, Im a hardcore fans of manchester united and I wouldnt want any other coach to handle the team. They really need a coach that could got them out of the slump for now

Do other 'hardcore' United fans share the same sentiment?  Zidane lacks experience.  What would happen if he sucks too at United?  Would you start hating him too?  Lol.

I would agree. United fans are probably just frustrated and want anyone else right now and Zidane is probably the biggest name with three Champions League titles in a row under his belt as well as a La Liga title, but that doesn't mean he's going to come into United and work wonders. Can Zidane even speak English? I know that's not stopped managers before but it's still a huge barrier. I'm skeptical that he will be able to turn their luck around if he does indeed get the job. Today's game against Newcastle will probably be the decider on his future. If United lose at home to them then I'd say Mourinhio is probably done. I'm sure they're trying to work out something with Zidane as we speak and if he agreed to take over tomorrow they'd sack him today.

Chelsea vs Liverpool

What are your predictions guys? Liverpool is on fire this season, but Chelsea has got Eden Hazard. My prediction 1:1 (Salah and Hazard)

Well Liverpool have Salah. And Firmino. And Mane.  Grin I'd probably go with a draw here. Maybe 1-1 or 2-2. I think Liverpool are the better team on paper, but we've got to take into consideration home advantage. Liverpool will be looking for retribution after knocking them out of the cup, however. Liverpool didn't have their strongest team out either in the cup game. If Salah and Firmino started I'm sure it would have been a different game. Then again, maybe it would have been different if Hazzard started also as he's undeniably one of the best players in the Premier League.
8  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump supporters are burning Nike apparel because... Kaepernick? on: September 28, 2018, 08:42:45 AM
Colin Kaepernick is one of the bravest persons on Earth. He has sacrificed his livelihood and image for standing upto something that is a big issue in U.S. I don't understand how a NFL kneeling to the National Anthem is getting more hatred than mass shootings in schools.

I wouldn't exactly call him the bravest person on earth, but he certainly has balls and could have just kept quiet, but he didn't, so you gotta respect that at least. White America will take any chance they get to pounce on a black man if they think they're stepping out of place, but Kaepernick will do alright anyhow. He's a multimillionaire and even if he doesn't play football again he'll just make a career out of being a media martyr.

Saw this today that Nike actually considered scrapping the advert with him due to fears of a backlash:

9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: using real money to buy Bitcoin on: September 25, 2018, 02:37:20 PM
Why can't they give you the money and you buy the coins for them? You could use Localbitcoins or some other free-ads site and find someone who will meet you face-to-face to sell you bitcoins for cash. I'm sure there are lots of people that would be willing to do this. You could also use the currency exchange sub forum here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0

Be careful when meeting people though. Always meet in a public place and do a smaller trade with them at first just to make sure everything is legit.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Juventus is Launching His Crypto Token on: September 25, 2018, 02:29:16 PM
Just another way to milk more money out of their fans pockets! This is the way I am seeing such ICOs. Obviously it is great to attach a crypto related project with such a immensely popular football club, as it will give more visibility of the crypto world to the common mass, but what purpose it will solve??

ICO were mainly started to fund brilliant ideas, but it is now going out of the control! People are tokenizing anything and everything regardless of the necessity! That is not going to earn reputation for cryptos.

While I am not against the ICOs and cryptocurrency in general, but I would love to see meaningful innovative ideas to be funded through it and not just anything random!!

Agreed. Just seems like a gimmick to me. Bitcoin and blockchain was meant to be the future. Now crypto has just been hijacked by scams, get rich quick schemes and gimmicks trying to cash in on something new or the current buzz. I haven't looked into this much in depth, but the possibility of fans voting seems interesting, but do they have to pay to do this or purchase the coins? If so then it's just another money spinner for them more likely rather than anything truly to support or benefit the fans.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 24, 2018, 07:38:30 AM
Manchester United are going into a dark tunnel 8 points away from the lead after 6 rounds .. It is difficult to explain to and it's creating a lot of rumors about them this draw was their worst game of the season Sometimes big teams don't play that well but gets their three points but they had them in their hands and waisted it so they remain with only one clean sheets from their 6 league matches.

Man Utd haven't exactly had a challenging start, either. The only big team they've faced so far has been Spurs, where they got humped 3-0. They've beaten Leicester, Burnley and Watford, drawn to Wolves and lost to Spurs and Brighton. If they continue playing like this, they will be very lucky to get a top 4 finish. How long do they let Mou stay - whatever he's doing, it clearly isn't working.

Manchester United are seventh in the table and only six points behind second place. Losing to Spurs and drawing with Wolves isn't a sackable offense for Jose. Wolves have been playing pretty good and also even drew against Manchester City. City lost at home to Lyon. Maybe Pep should be sacked soon as well? Manchester United will be lucky to get top four because there's so many great teams now. Spurs and Liverpool weren't even in the running five years ago and a bit before that even City were just an average team. Times change but this isn't Jose's fault, but if he does ever go I hope they do actually get Zidane because I'd bet money he won't do much better or win them much if anything before they sack him.

^  Even if the Zidane rumor was true, I don't think it's gonna be the right move.  They need to swallow the bitter pill and realize that it's gonna be hard years ahead and rebuild.

But if they really wanted their success to continue post Fergie, then they shouldn't have made Moyes as SAF's replacement (then LVG after him)...  In hindsight, they should have gone for Pep (after his hear long sabbatical) and only Pep imo.

I agree with you; Zidane it not the right move immediately if anything. People keep forgetting that Zidane was give an already well prepared team to manage, with quality players all around the pitch at his disposal, he wasn't made to build a team. It is the same issue with Mourinho, this is the first time he is actually trying to build an actual team - and this is very difficult. All his other success the team was was more or less built, he just needed to add a few more tweaks. For Man united, the board Ed Woodword are not prepared to spend heavy like Real Madrid or Chelsea in the early days of Abramovich, so it is a tough job.

Most managers would have achieved greatness taking over Real when Zidane did. Let's not forget Fergie took years to build a title winning team. People are also forgetting that there's just so many great teams in the Premier League now so that's why United are struggling, especially when I'd put City and Liverpool up there with the best teams on the planet right now.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 20, 2018, 08:39:13 AM
Since there are some potentially one sided games this week i'm thinking about a simple accumulator.

To win:

Man utd
Man city
Liverpool
Tottenham

Yeah, I think all those teams should win, but you probably won't get great odds on just those four, however. Maybe consider putting one or some of Leicester, Crystal P or Burnley also in the mix to bump up the odds. All are playing at home against mostly average sides. Burnley are usually very strong at home but have been doing very poor this season so far but I'm sure they'll bounce back at some point but that would be the risky one for me especially as they're playing an in form Bournemouth but backing Burnley will add a lot of value to your bet. I'd wait for the line-ups to be announced first, though.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: September 20, 2018, 08:30:46 AM
Man City lost...well, color me surprised as I definitely did not see that coming.

Same. I thought that would be an easy win for them especially at home.

Ronaldo saw the red card?

That card was very harsh imo. Yellow at best. Wasn't that referee the one that got sent home from the world cup after a few very bad decisions?

How was that a red card for Ronaldo? Wow..

Just watched the highlights on local TV and all the commentators agree it was a red card. He pulled the hair of the player siting on the pitch. It wasn't all that obvious and I don't think he actually hurt the guy but nevertheless the referee behind the goal spotted it and it is a deserved red card.

Looked like he just 'tapped' him on the head to me, but it was hard to see from the couple of angles I saw on the youtube highlights so I could be wrong.

The Man City game to me looked rigged, this is what I hate about football when a match is like the Man City game. People really need to wake up and see what is going on in these matches and when certain players are taken off etc... This is why I also stopped betting in CL matches because they all look fixed to me even the final was clearly fixed lol.

Really? This just sounds like the excuses of a sore loser. These huge games are not rigged. Games just don't always go the way you want or expect them to.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: September 18, 2018, 10:00:41 AM
Well today is the day. Cl is starting anyone want to predict who will win this years CL and EL maybe. I have some candidates but this year will be hard to guess. Only one is certain RM wont win this time and Barca as well. This time none of Spanish clubs will win it. Maybe this year could be finally for PSG or Juve. Don't want to rush but think it could be present surprise at the end.

What about English clubs? Don't discount them. Liverpool got to the final last year and it could have been a different game if Salah hadn't gone off injured very early. I think it's too hard to predict who will win the title this year because you don't know what the knock out stages will be like, but Manchester City and Liverpool have the potential to go very far or win it even over big Spanish/Italian clubs.

Champions league group stage starts today, where are you guys?  Grin

2 big matches, Inter vs Tottenham and Liverpool vs Paris SG. This Liverpool vs Paris SG man, 100% would watch. This gonna be an interesting match.

Too hard to call for both games for me. I think Liverpool may win through home advantage but both teams attacks are very evenly matched in my opinion. I would say spurs are better than Inter, but maybe not enough to beat them on their home turf.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: September 16, 2018, 02:21:17 PM
Don"say Real is weaker .Did you see Asensio how he was playing against Croatia
Real still has great team and best midfielders of the world
I see nice wins Liverpool against PSG and battle between PSG and Napoli for second place
If Buffon wants to win  CL that PSG was  not best decision

Let's be realistical here. Real Madrid are a great team but losing one of the best players in the world is a huge blow for them regardless of how great the rest of your team is.

I don't think anyone will be underestimating Real Madrid especially in Champions League, yes Ronaldo is gone but they're playing really well without him. If you see Bale and Benzema are scoring goals left and right, in fact they look very strong to me. The match against Liverpool vs Psg is more likely to billed Neymar Vs Salah, this shall be an epic match, and both teams can score many goals.

Real Madrid drew their last game, but as I said above they're far from a one-man team but Ronaldo is definitely the sort of player any team will miss and is that guy that you can rely on to give you that something extra.

Liverpool vs PSG should be great match. I'd love to see Liverpool play Real again at some point and Real vs Juve would also be great.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: September 16, 2018, 01:48:53 PM
How is gambling wrong? I think people who think it is immoral are just of that opinion for religious reasons. It's just like playing a game but with money on the line which can make it exciting, but it's not morally wrong. It's like saying alcohol is wrong. It's not illegal in most places and most people can enjoy it responsibly without it becoming an issue, but on the other hand there are those that can't and it does become an issue for them, but others can enjoy it in moderation and without it becoming an issue or a problem. Same goes for gambling. I gamble once every while, but I can go weeks or even months without doing so, but it's nice to have a 'flutter' as they say every now and again and I think it's just another form of entertainment and something I enjoy. For sure I don't like losing but that's part of the game and something you accept and you should certainly never chase your loses as that's how gambling can become a problem very quick.
I have this new way of looking at addiction. As long as the addicted person isn't interrupting or harming another individual, it's okay. The moment that they steal from someone or take advantage of someone, that's when it becomes wrong. What's legal and what's illegal doesn't determine what's right and wrong. People choose to do those things and they are indeed free to do that. We don't have to mind their business at all. And I think with this new attitude, you get to not care about the world. It saves you from the stress. It's the same reason why I choose to not watch the news as well. Other people's wrongdoings shouldn't be a concern of us unless we are involved.

Well this is also my argument as to whether something is a crime or not. Something is only a crime if it hurts or endangers somebody else. Drug use shouldn't be a crime because that hurts nobody else but the person who is taking the drugs and that is their choice (unless you start stealing and harming others to feed your habit then it becomes a criminal matter). Same goes for gambling. There's nothing morally wrong with gambling or using drugs, but if you start harming others through your addictions then that's when it crosses the line. People can get addicted to gambling or drugs but people are responsible for their own actions and self-control, and everybody should not be penalized because there are those that can't control their addictions. If you want to gamble or take drugs then you should be free to do so, just know your limits and don't hurt or deprive anyone else of money in the process.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 15, 2018, 12:14:00 PM
It's more like Leicester were luckboxing vs the top 6 clubs while top 6 clubs were underperforming.  A fluke.  That won't happen again in decades.

You can call it a fluke and the other teams did certainly under-perform, but I don't think that should take away from Leicester's victory as you can't fluke or rely on luck for an entire season. They really was the better team that season. I agree with you that we're unlikely to see anything like that happen again anytime soon if ever.

Spurs vs Liverpool could be a draw.

It's 0-0 with 30 minutes played sofar. I would go for the draw too. Maybe it will stay 0-0.

Edit:  hilariousetc, Palace will not win.  IMHO.

Same. I wouldn't back them either with or without Zaha playing, especially not away. Benteke is out as well so take that into consideration for your bet but I wiouldn't play it. Newcastle could even get some points from Arsenal.
18  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your favorite board games ? on: September 15, 2018, 12:07:27 PM
Absolutely not Monopoly. That game used to bore me to tears. Always goes on for far too long and I hate it when everyone else suggests to play it and I'll do my best to try dissuade them or make my extreme displeasure of playing it publicly known  Cheesy. I personally prefer Scrabble and is a game that keeps my interest and is really a game of wits (or literacy  Cheesy). Helps if you're good with words, though.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will keep people from getting into cryptocurrency? on: September 14, 2018, 12:08:07 PM
I thought about the unpredictability of bitcoin and its current status and it made me realized that this might drive people away from getting into cryptocurrency. What do you think are the other reasons that will keep people from using bitcoin?

I think the biggest factor is ignorance and fear of the unknown. People fear what they don't understand and many are also weary of things that "seem too good to be true" and bitcoin is usually even touted as a can't lose investment or a money that drug dealers and terrorists like to use, so people are often weary. The mere mentioning of the 'darknet' or 'deepweb' is enough to scare a lot of people off and lets not forget that there was a time when 99% of the times it was mentioned in the media it was done so with negative connotations like its use in drug deals and darknet markets and that puts a lot of people off from even investigating it and seeing the brilliance of the underlying technology. If you ever encounter someone who is skeptical or cyncial then just explain to them the actual uses genuine of it and how fiat cash can just as easily be used for bad stuff and bitcoin is so much more than just 'anonymous' money.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: September 14, 2018, 11:53:45 AM
Champions League this season will be interesting, I think Real Madrid will no longer dominate, it's time for teams from the English and Italian leagues to show off.

I agree. Losing Ronaldo is a huge blow to them. They're obviously not a one-man team and you can't win a tournament like the Champions League without a truly world class squad, but Ronaldo missing is going to hurt them and I think their run of winning the Champions League will come to a stop now. Maybe Juve will triumph this season especially now they have Ronaldo. Or maybe it's time for some English teams to dominate. Liverpool narrowly missed out on it last season and they've only strengthened their squad. Let's not forget Man City who are probably one of the strongest squads in the world right now, and even Spurs. I don't think they'll get close to winning it but it's not out of reach for them and I could see them winning the Premier League within the next five years if they improve their squad, but they're up against very touch competition with Liverpool and City.
