I think that bitcoin-url will also give some help to this Smiley
8903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Social networks on: June 14, 2010, 11:56:17 AM
And this is about Twitter:

Search widget: ( I suggest this one )
Quote
<script src="http://widgets.twimg.com/j/2/widget.js"></script>
<script>
new TWTR.Widget({
  version: 2,
  type: 'search',
  search: 'bitcoin',
  interval: 6000,
  title: 'Say no to central banking – use Bitcoin, the revolutionary P2P currency!',
  subject: 'Bitcoin',
  width: 250,
  height: 300,
  theme: {
    shell: {
      background: '#8ec1da',
      color: '#ffffff'
    },
    tweets: {
      background: '#ffffff',
      color: '#444444',
      links: '#1985b5'
    }
  },
  features: {
    scrollbar: false,
    loop: true,
    live: true,
    hashtags: true,
    timestamp: true,
    avatars: true,
    toptweets: true,
    behavior: 'default'
  }
}).render().start();
</script>

Or profile widget:
Quote
<script src="http://widgets.twimg.com/j/2/widget.js"></script>
<script>
new TWTR.Widget({
  version: 2,
  type: 'profile',
  rpp: 4,
  interval: 6000,
  width: 250,
  height: 300,
  theme: {
    shell: {
      background: '#333333',
      color: '#ffffff'
    },
    tweets: {
      background: '#000000',
      color: '#ffffff',
      links: '#4aed05'
    }
  },
  features: {
    scrollbar: false,
    loop: false,
    live: false,
    hashtags: true,
    timestamp: true,
    avatars: false,
    behavior: 'all'
  }
}).render().setUser('profile_name').start();
</script>

1) You can also add this to the homepage:
Code:
<iframe src="http://www.facebook.com/plugins/likebox.php?id=362816109006&amp;width=292&amp;connections=10&amp;stream=false&amp;header=false&amp;height=255" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:292px; height:255px;" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>
( you can test it on a simple html page )

2) Or this alternative:
Code:
<fb:like-box profile_id="362816109006" width="292" connections="10" stream="false" header="false"></fb:like-box>
But you will need also to add this after the head of page:
Code:
<div id="fb-root"></div>
<script>
  window.fbAsyncInit = function() {
    FB.init({appId: 'your app id', status: true, cookie: true,
             xfbml: true});
  };
  (function() {
    var e = document.createElement('script'); e.async = true;
    e.src = document.location.protocol +
      '//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js';
    document.getElementById('fb-root').appendChild(e);
  }());
</script>

Everything come from here:
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like-box

EDIT:
Now it has the right id Tongue
8905  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Introducing Bitthanks - beta on: June 12, 2010, 06:07:40 PM
your idea reminds me flattr.com Grin
It will be very interesting if you make it simple / easy and fast as flattr.

Just a "click", and the bitcoin client will share a small amount of bcoins Smiley
8906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: new binary release? on: June 12, 2010, 05:37:35 PM
Thank you very much! Cheesy
8907  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Introducing Bitthanks - beta on: June 12, 2010, 05:25:51 PM
Beautiful Cheesy
I have just sent you 5 bitcoins to test it Wink

EDIT:
Anyway, this is a good service that anyone could have local installed.
I could be a bitcoin plug-in or a like.
8908  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Get 5 free bitcoins from freebitcoins.appspot.com on: June 11, 2010, 08:11:23 PM
Will you share the source code of your service? Smiley
8909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Social networks on: June 06, 2010, 11:13:24 PM
Can the admin open something like an official group/page on social networks like facebook? ( example: http://www.kickasstorrents.com , look at the facebook tab at the right )
It will be useful also a twitter account. ( and a twitter widget of course! )

I know that many of you probably don't like social networks, but this isn't the point.
I think that everything that can be useful to connect this project with people as many as possible ... is a GOOD idea Smiley
8910  Economy / Marketplace / Re: BitCoin Casino (Beta mode) on: May 28, 2010, 01:07:11 PM
@SirArthur
I know everything, I just did a try Grin
8911  Economy / Marketplace / Re: BitCoin Casino (Beta mode) on: May 28, 2010, 09:44:37 AM
I lost 40 bitcoins, so it works perfectly Grin
8912  Economy / Marketplace / Re: BitCoin Casino (Beta mode) on: May 27, 2010, 11:34:05 AM
Ok, it works.
But I can't understand how you can handle it if you have to to it manually.
Is it a good idea to use bitcoin cents as a sign?
8913  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Website translations on: May 27, 2010, 11:03:36 AM
Here there is the italian translation of the software.
There can be some mistakes, but it's just ok for the first version Smiley
I hope that someone will come to do something better.
8914  Economy / Marketplace / Re: BitCoin Casino (Experimental) on: May 26, 2010, 06:33:11 AM
I sent 10 BC with this address: 1F2mXju6fxB2D51fFDvfsPGoPeSdwc7C6m
My Account is: Joozero

Is it automaticaly or you need to update it manually ?

EDIT:
I probably did a mistake, I sent you 10 BC before adding hte BC Address on "account information"
8915  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Share database blocks ? on: May 24, 2010, 07:55:54 PM
I think that probably they won't be accepted by the majority of the network, that they have a different database/hash ... is it right?
8916  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Share database blocks ? on: May 24, 2010, 06:43:49 PM
I have a question.
I saw that everyone need to get blocks before starting to get coins.
Does it mean that these blocks are the same for everyone?
Is there a database with all of them?
So ... can I share this database with someone else to make him able to generate coins after few seconds?
I'm not sure if I have understood correctly how everything works
If I'm right ... can we share an always updated database of blocks somewhere on the official website?
8917  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Website translations on: May 24, 2010, 02:30:18 PM
Ok, I'll translate FAQ also for sure Wink
8918  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Website translations on: May 24, 2010, 02:22:31 PM

8919  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Website and software translations on: May 24, 2010, 11:56:41 AM
Can I help to translate the official homepage ( and main others ) into italian language?
Is there a way to make it easy for many other random people that want to do the same?

sirius-m: changed topic
8920  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Merge with other P2P on: May 22, 2010, 09:44:47 AM
So eh, what do you mean "merging Bitcoin with other p2p projects"?
Like Bitcoin+Bittorrent?! Huh
Yes, it's a possibility.

Bitcoin is a software that usually need to stay open and running all the time to generate coins.
So I thought that there are other software that need the same, P2P clients.

There are also other possibilities, like chat clients ( scripted mirc ) and many more.

So I thought that it should be a good idea to make it easy to integrate it with some of them.

Develop it like a lib it's a really good idea, and I hope that main devs will think about it.

"build the official-p2p-currency" for what? Warez4Bitcoinz?
This isn't the object of discussion.
You shouldn't care about what THEY ( p2p devs ) are going to do with bitcoins.
Bitcoin is an object, like a car and an usual p2p client.
You can do good and bad things with them ( bitcoin/p2p/car/knife/... )
