8222  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: miningpool.com down? on: March 08, 2012, 05:09:54 PM

8224  Other / Meta / Re: Ignored counter on: March 08, 2012, 02:40:46 PM
Ok, I added it Smiley

You would think that if I ignore a person that they would not be able to send me a PM.
It's a good idea, it should be an on/off option:
- Block PMs from ignored users [X]

If the the sum of the first 2 options ( both with ignored counter  ) will be higher the the third ( no ignored counter ), then I'll see as the majority wants the ignored counter, right?
8225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto Found? on: March 08, 2012, 02:35:40 PM
Why is this so important?  The code is publicly available, and algorithm is relatively easy to understand even by non-experts. That's what matters.  Satoshi obviously didn't want their identity revealed, why not let it be?

I don't know. I personally find it hysterical when people brag about putting someone on the ignore list. I could give a rat's ass who listens to whom; seems like content should dictate who you listen to, not other people opinions of the person.
So, you prefer the option 2 ? Smiley
8227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [SOLVED] Bitcoin's chicken and egg problem on: March 07, 2012, 11:35:34 PM
I saw that you were in our IRC-channel earlier today, I missed you by an hour, you can contact me (Superior) or jesse on the boards with any questions you might have.
You have already replied Smiley
Anyway, as Acoindr said I really hope that you will find the right help to have the automatic-funds done.
I'm not personally interested in this kind of market, but I think that it's another big step forward to have Bitcoin commonly used.
8228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [SOLVED] Bitcoin's chicken and egg problem on: March 07, 2012, 07:56:48 PM
All feedback and criticism is highly appreciated!
Are you going to add automatic funds?
8229  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: Mappa dei bitcoiners italiani on: March 07, 2012, 03:41:14 PM
Ottimo.

8230  Other / Meta / Ignored counter on: March 07, 2012, 10:04:58 AM
Do you think that it's bad to add an "Ingnored counter" under user profiles?
This will show how many users are ignoring someone ( without showing any names )
An user must know that many people doesn't like what they are saying, it's also useful for themselves ... to know that they are probably doing wrong.
It won't count Brand new and Newbie groups.

Example as it should be:

HostFat
Staff
Hero Member
Posts: 711
Ignored by: 37 users

Then there are 2 options, that will change in some way the results of this modification:
1) Available/visible to everyone ( everyone will know that someone is ignored by X users )
2) Visible only to ourself ( everyone will know privately that there are X users that are ignoring them )

I prefer the option 1 Smiley

Ottimo.

Anyway I really like the way they have integrated Bitcoin with their board.
I hope to see more mods for every board ( eBullettin / SMF /Invision Power Board / phpbb / ... ) that can be easily added with few clicks.

Is the new Mt.Gox e-Commerce feature a big step forward on this direction?
8233  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Mt.Gox si estende all' e-Commerce on: March 06, 2012, 05:31:45 PM
https://mtgox.com/press_release_20120306.html With Video tutorial.

Bitcoin brethren,

Since our beloved crypto-currency mushroomed in popularity last summer, we’ve seen many trail blazing merchants start accepting bitcoin; however admittedly, we haven’t seen the kind of bitcoin adoption in the online marketplace we expected to see. We feel this is largely because a critical element - a feature rich, quick to launch, checkout solution - was missing for merchants to easily start accepting bitcoin. With this in mind, we at Mt.Gox decided to take a kick at the can to see if we could dream up a solution that takes the head-ache out receiving payments in bitcoin. While we were at it, we also managed to find a way to remove all of the merchant-specific risk too...

We are pleased to announce the amalgamation of our efforts in the form of a definitive bitcoin checkout solution, and we’re finally ready to show it off in all of it’s bare-bones glory.

With Mt.Gox checkout merchants are able to easily integrate bitcoin into their existing e-Commerce platform. We’ll be kicking things off by offering a downloadable Magento plugin within the next 2 weeks, but plan to develop plugins for other popular e-Commerce solutions to bring bitcoin to all corners of the web. As for now, we have put up the documentation for early adopters on Mt.Gox’s bitcoin wiki page under the Merchant API section:

MtGox API: Merchant System

A little more about Mt.Gox checkout:

  • Transactions are ridiculously free
  • Customers can pay in BTC from their Bitcoin program (6 confirmations)
  • Mt.Gox account holders can pay from their Mt.Gox accounts, allowing for instant checkout (and impulse buys, oh my’s)
  • Pay instantly via Mt.Gox Mobile’s QR scanner (great for people who don’t want to pay from their office workstation!)
  • Split payment capabilities: Wanna go halfers with your buddy on alpaca socks...now you can!
  • Partial payments: If you don’t have enough in your bitcoin program, you can top off the payment with your Mt.Gox BTC balance (or vice versa)
  • (Soon) Bitcoin prices are displayed in real-time relative to the merchants listed price in a traditional currency (USD, EUR, etc.)
  • (Soon) An instant trade-on-receipt function that cashes out bitcoins in 1 of 16 currencies
  • (Soon) Easily embed the “Mt.Gox Checkout” button into your existing checkout page.

We are really, really excited to offer this solution to existing merchants, and know it will be a huge boon to the bitcoin marketplace over the next few months.

There really isn’t a reason to suffer using Paypal any longer; bitcoin is here in a merchant friendly package, so we invite you to see the whole checkout process: thanks to this video Mt.Gox e-Commerce Solution from MtGox on Vimeo.

Questions and feedback are welcome at checkout@mtgox.com

Regards,

The Mt.Gox Team

http://www.mirorenzaglia.org/2011/11/avanti-tutta-torna-il-baratto/

Will some Wonder-Nerd please figure out how to gamble bitcoins in the beginning of each counter strike match!?

Better yet, lets get this goin on TF2!
Someone should open a website like http://betsofbitco.in but completely dedicated to gaming.
It should be more like a community.
Here there will be bettors, players and developers ( these ones will develop plug-ins to add betting system directly in-game as you suggested )

8239  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Term contract with multisig/P2SH on: March 05, 2012, 03:10:43 PM
Anyway, I have many "strange" ideas, and I think that somehow timed transfers ( public viewable or viewable only from some ) can open many new interesting ways to open new kinds of contracts.

The blockchain is a timer, a decentralised timer.
I think that we should find some other ways to use it.
8240  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Term contract with multisig/P2SH on: March 05, 2012, 02:14:46 PM
Is it possible to make a term contract with multisig/P2SH ?

Example:
I'll move 10 Bitcoins from my address to another, and I set 20 confirmations.
If no one will give the remain sign to move them to the bitcoin address or to move back to me on next 20 confirmations ... these 10 Bitcoin will lose their owner and they will be able to be mined again from miners.

Me and the other receiver-address-owner must be able to see the remaining confirmations, he must be able to see that there is a deadline and when it will expiry.
