8341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uploaded.to Accepts BTC As Payment (think Rapidshare, Megaupload) on: January 19, 2012, 11:29:59 PM
They can do whatever they want wherever they want.
So they can also attack a pool to scare others, but there is already a solution to this problem, the P2Pool.

The last weakness of Bitcoin are the exchangers.
We really need serverless/decentralized exchangers!
8342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uploaded.to Accepts BTC As Payment (think Rapidshare, Megaupload) on: January 19, 2012, 12:44:56 PM
I sent an email to megaupload Smiley
Wait 2/3 days and I'll give you the reply.
8343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uploaded.to Accepts BTC As Payment (think Rapidshare, Megaupload) on: January 19, 2012, 11:29:20 AM
I think that someone ( me ? ) should send an email to megaupload, and asking them to enable Bitcoin as payment.
Email will contain this link also as example:
http://uploaded.to/register

BUG FIXES

  • Check all transactions in blocks after the last checkpoint (0.5.0 and 0.5.1 skipped checking ECDSA signatures during initial blockchain download).
  • Cease locking memory used by non-sensitive information (this caused a huge performance hit on some platforms, especially noticable during initial blockchain download; this was
    not a security vulnerability
    ).
  • Fixed some address-handling deadlocks (client freezes).
  • No longer accept inbound connections over the internet when Bitcoin is being used with Tor (identity leak).
  • Re-enable SSL support for the JSON-RPC interface (it was unintentionally disabled for the 0.5.0 and 0.5.1 release Linux binaries).
  • Use the correct base transaction fee of 0.0005 BTC for accepting transactions into mined blocks (since 0.4.0, it was incorrectly accepting 0.0001 BTC which was only meant to be relayed).
  • Don't show "IP" for transactions which are not necessarily IP transactions.
  • Add new DNS seeds (maintained by Pieter Wuille and Luke Dashjr).

I think that bitcoin devs should give a look here:

[PROPOSAL] Give proof of identity to your customers
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=58534.0

It's a possible update on the URIs scheme.

Sorry, I need also to speak clearly.

I was asking an explanation as I were your grandmother.
8352  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: PULL request #748 : Pay-to-script-hash (OP_EVAL replacement) on: January 13, 2012, 06:37:31 PM
Can someone explain me ( us ) what is exactly the meaning of "safer-but-less-powerful"?
What are we going to miss?

If you trust all your ideas, I'm sure that you can explain it clearly.

Even if I don't understand deeper all the things of the discussion, this is my opinion:

The Bitcoin project was born to bring evolution the the actual monetary system.
I think that was the main idea: evolution against the old. ( I think also that many are here because of this, and not to simply become rich )
It couldn't born without this main idea, so I think that you should not abandon this line.

You have to push this project always to the best future evolution, and don't protect too much the actual system, even if we can name the actual system "v0.5.1".

If an implementation/idea is going to close many open doors on the evolution of Bitcoin, just to protect the some parts of the actual system ... I think that it's wrong.

Bitcoin project is really young, you can't limit it just now.

A proposito di bolle, vi consiglio di dare un occhiata qui:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=56969.msg685098#msg685098

A Febbrario si avranno alcuni momenti di alto rischio, si spera che qualche pool ( o pių di uno ) non faccia la cazzata ...
8356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unfreezable blockchain on: January 10, 2012, 07:08:01 PM
There is already a solution: move to P2Pool Wink
8357  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: Riparte la bolla? ;D on: January 10, 2012, 06:56:38 PM
8358  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: January 10, 2012, 04:28:35 PM
I think that the notification feature should have an entire page for it self, with many options.
1 address
- gtalk notification on x confirmations
- email notification on x confirmations
...

2 address
- Skype notification on x confirmations
- Skype notification on y confirmations

All wallet addresses
- gtalk notification on h confirmations

...

User should be able to add/select more addresses.

You can set some limitations here, example:
- only 10 addresses
- only 50 notifications

You know how much you can offer for free Wink

If the user wants more, he can pay something.
This can be another way to earn money, and if it will give good incomes ... I hope you will back to free transaction ( without your fee )

Can you make clickable flags here ?
http://blockchain.info/new-transactions

So if I'll click one flag it will show a popup with transaction information / or it will send me to the transaction's page.
