What about the controllers boards ? You should have one per 2 blades.
That's what he believed when buying the blades.
And for such a case, we are developping a standalone controller.

Corrected boards are in France since Friday.
Hopefully, I'll have them in hand by the end of next week (regular post and customs can take a while) and they will work as expected.

I think I'll have some more things to ask you to print for me later.

I should have the case for your XL boards ready in a couple days...I am healing up from a mishap I had with a DPS750 PSU fan, ugh...gashed my thumb pretty good.
The base is pretty much set, just gotta add board securing holes and finish up the lid. For some reason due to the tolerances that these printers print, getting the parts to interface just right is a bit tricky and I am very critical of my own work.

Yeah, sometimes, fans are hungry.
I've got one scythe Ultrakaze that bit hard on one of my fingers too when modding one Gridseed Blade.

As for the DPS 2000 BB and the DPS 1200 FBA, I have them back in stock, so I'll prepare a package for you soon.
I just wanted to add the antminer control board once the first prototype is functionnal. Hopefully, I'll receive the new PCB next week.

Anyone know a part number the silver cap next to the Phoenix power connection (C522)? Says 470 EFP 2JI1 on it?
It's probably a 470uF 25v electrolytic capacitor.
This one should work, but check the size, 10mmx10mm

You can even replace it with a cheaper radial one instead of SMD (easier to solder too).

Hi
I want to order and buy one simple set for test: HP DPS 1200/1300W+board+16* PCIE cables
Can you send me offer and your email.

You got your offer.

Any chance you could add a 5v Type A female USB header on any of your boards?
This would be a great feature allowing to power 5v devices such as R-Pi, BeagleBone and WRT router/AP's etc.
Thanks!

Oh, I should have pics of the XL board case today.  Cool

It can be a 2 or 3$ option for the next batches, I guess.
There are cheap 12>3.3v buck converters, I'll check how cheap I can have a 12>5v converter with 1A supply.

Edit: it can be an option, and price would be 2.5$ for 1A capable port.

I'll mod my files for future batches.

Hi J4bberwock

Thanks for your procedure! I stepped succesfully trough it, only after the programming and verify succesfull, I powertoggled the device, removed the serial and boot stuff and connected it to USB again but still get the device not recognized warning, there are no leds on.

any thoughts?
is it possible that Gridseed protected the devices, so the binary is encoded and not poratble?

When the RDP (read protection) option is active, the only command that is allowed is the "Permanent Readout Unprotect" command (which erases all of the Flash).
So while the protection is enabled, it should not be possible to download programs to RAM and run them

edit: found the answer to the protection question

Hi, sorry for the late answer, I only check this thread once in a while.

I don't know why it's still not recognized.

Did you try to extract the flash from the not recognized blade and make a crc comparison with the one I uploaded?

Also, what revision are your blades?
Mine were the first batch sold.
I received them the day after they were out.
That shouldn't change anything, but check it just in case.
You can use the same method to extract the firmware from one of your working blades and flash it to the defective one in case they would be different revisions.

Last thing, do you have the exact same STM32 chip?
It needs to be a STM32F103 RCT6

Worst case, I'll send you one of my chips with the firmware already flashed in it to test.

ask for 40 sample connectors, and 320 crimp pins, they will probably send them.

Hi can i have a price for 2 boards for the delta dps 2000bb shipped to the uk. do you accept BTC? And any news on the Proliant DL580 G5 as they are readily available to me, thanks.
Hi, I will have the DPS 2000 BB in stock tomorrow or Tuesday (PCB will be delivered by DHL tomorrow).

The DL580 G5 boards are the "Common Slot" ones, DPS-1200 FB A, XL board
You can see some pics in the first post.
The last ones were delivered on Thursday, I'm waiting for the connectors to arrive on Tuesday, so they will be back in stock on Tuesday/Wednesday.

BTC payment accepted, of course.
How many DL580 G5 boards would you need?
Drop me a private message, and I will reply with a price quote including shipping.

This is the one on the board.

And here is its mate.

this one should do it too

You will need the crimp pins.

They ship the free samples with Fedex, register as "independent designer" for the company.

Wow, truly impressive. Loving the power supply case!

Very impressed too, they are really nice.
497  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: October 11, 2014, 07:47:57 PM
J4bberwock did you get to test your idea of changing the board from chain to single on each chip?

Not yet, I was quite busy with other things.
I'll try  tomorrow.
For the prototype there are some pins that I can't connect as I want to make the ugly prototype.

To make it short, I started to work on it as 3 separated usb ports on the usb hub chip, and finally switched to 3 ganged ports.
The second mistake was that I forgot to set the pins for the "always connected ports", and I connected them to the wrong input, 2 and 3 instead of 1 and 2.
Since I'm using the cp2102 to generate the voltage for tue usb hub, I can't do anything.
New boards already ordered, with slower (and cheaper) shipping.
I should get them within 10 days, worst case.

And I still need to try something on the software side with the actual cheap cp2102 USB converter tomorrow.
Maybe changing drier could help when the usb was detected but not activated.

It took me a few trials to get the cairnsmore working, so I thought that installing winusb with Zadig could help for the cp2102.
or going back to the original driver if it's already winusb.
498  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Antminer S3 UK Only on: October 09, 2014, 04:48:21 PM
You might consider buying osmething else, then.

https://minereu.com/product/a1-btc-miner/

I never had trouble with minereu except the rusty gridseed pods from the last batches.
It seems not everybody was as lucky as I am, but for 300$, (second hand), it might worth the try.
And it isn't a sponsored or anything link.

For some reason, they are supposed to be "final ten", but I was able to add 40 to my cart  Huh
499  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Antminer S3 UK Only on: October 09, 2014, 03:58:15 PM
wasn't the Bitmain price already including shipping?

And you might want to try EMS shipping if it's still available.
Most of the time, I don't have VAT/taxes using EMS
And mining something else than BTC can also improve your ROI.
