I have those PSUs in my HP C7000 enclosure. Unfortunately, the location of the AC power connector and the DC output one make it difficult to create a breakout board. The DPS-2500BB could be an easier option for you if you don't mind the extra work needed to add the fans. |

I bought a second hand asic and it had a breakout board included The seller is not responding anymore so I have no idea for what PSU it is Could anyone try to identify what psu this breakoutboard is for? If you want close up pictures from anything let me know Any help would be appreciated  If you could give the reference written on one of the two black connectors, it'll help identifying which PSU they match. Since Eugene from your suport team have been ignoring my request, can someone who can read english have a look at request #145903
It's simple, I tried to convert 0.2BTC, transactions failed for some reason, ending with the 0.2BTC disappearing from my balance, and the money not loaded to my cards.
So that people can understand what some unlucky cusstomers can go through with their customer support, here is a small summary:
Eugene started by telling me that he can see that some transactions went through, for a total of 0.164807 BTC, and that they were loaded successfully to my cards.
But according to him, there was some change left that should have been on my balance.
So he gladly added them back manually to my BTC balance and provided me with a TX ID. A few hours after appearing on my balance, his transaction vanished.
I checked the TX ID, and it was some random blockchain TX ID from a few month ago, not related to my wallet at all...
I discovered later that for the successful transactions, he was referring to 3 successful transactions 1 week before the transactions I had issues with (I gave exact date and wirex transaction numbers...)
So, after some more messages, he finally realized his mistake, and he refunded me the money ... from the 3 transactions that were successful 1 week before my issues ...(0.164807 BTC)
After asking him what happened to the rest of my 0.2BTC, he is answering me that I've used the remainder to load the cards...
So now, can someone from this company just send me back what is missing from my 0.2 BTC?
0.200000-0.164807 = 0.035193 BTC

Please excuse me hijacking your thread to ask a question but it does relate to your breakout board and fan sideplate combo.
Im a home miner and sound is a major factor for my mining equipment so the side fans are a great alternative to the whine/howl of the small fans on server psus. Are they temperature controlled or just permenantly 12v full speed fans?
Also are there any small capacity psus that would fit the dual breakout board and fan setup? I don't need a 4kw solution as I cant use that much electricity. Is there a dual 1Kw version, or can you recommend suitable psus that would fit (ideally platinum efficienty rating)?
I'm in the UK if that makes any difference.

My DPS2000BB breakout board with sideplate and 3x 60mm fans will have a low noise level. You can even use a push/pull configuration with lower RPM fans to make it really quiet. On both setups (4K or single DPS2000BB), the fans are running full speed all the time. The question is how many PCI-E plugs do you need? The single DPS2000BB board only have 12 plugs. If you need more than 12 PCI-E but only 2000 watts, you can still use a 4k board with a single DPS2000BB (or 2500BB) PSU and the 60mm sideplate. |

I even offered you to start a personal and company cohoperation, because I trusted your person and expertise, creating for you a portal in EU to support actively your products. We've talked about that here on the forum and on skype, I/you can publish screens if you wish. I give you my auth.
The other photo you've sent me, probably a month later (I don't remember, you should know the exact date), it's about the adapter on the motherboard that I've mentioned before. It's another thing that, frankly speaking, I am not even interested to, due the thermal needs and electrical potential issues on the other components (and even incompatible with my current designs).
I suppose that you're correctly referring to me, but I haven't received any kind of project from you. I am open to publish the conversation, given the fact that I have nothing to hide.
About the possible patents of my company:
- a new tipology of PCIE 16x riser
- a new tipology of cloud computing 16X motherboard interface placed in front of the chassis, and powered by another key element
- a new tipology of power delivery based on server PSUs, that will be able to power on, with ease and reliability, all the other components in my designs
- a new tipology of PCB to support the heat managements of the chassis that I HAVE designed
Do you see anything yours? These products will be offered in my systems, in my farm. I don't even know when and IF I will resell them outside, probably not.
Be careful with your statements, it's not professional to behave like this with your potential customers.

Just to be clear, I didn't say that you took my idea and wanted to patent it. I'm sorry if it's what you understood. As I said, I like your full assembly idea, and I believe the market for it is larger that you may think. I was just pointing out that if your boards aren't new enough compared to what is already offered by me, others or my upcoming boards (DC/DC converter and PCI-E riser), there is no point trying to patent them. The concept of the boards can't be patented, you need to use them in a new way nobody did before to be able to patent them. And I'm not just speaking about my boards, but others breakout boards and the enclosures too. We are anyway aiming at different markets and may be complementary, so I can't see why there could be an issue here. Again, sorry if I was misunderstood, I would have made it all private if I had such a problem with you. And I wouldn't have used a smiley in my first message Also, thanks for not posting the pictures publicly, the project is still in progress and both boards should be released soon. |

hey guys, looking at getting these for my gpu miners.
Is there any chance of a breakout board that Has ATX and cpu connections on it? would rather use one psu rather then one for mobo and one for the gpus.

It's pretty evident that you have literally no clue about what a server PSU means (no offense, but you need to think about it) What you requested it's technically impossible, they simply don't exist. You need to convert the voltages from +12V to obtain +5, +3.3, +5VSB, PSON and so on. This sector it's too hard for the casual investor Now THAT would be SUPER SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET  Let's say that I'm working on it, the prototype works. The main issue, for you, is that they will be patented and inserted in my solutions (in my farm ). Later on, after the patent, it will be on the markets (I am thinking of lending the machines directly in the farm, like a sort of cloudmining but with real equipment. Too early btw to give details. I haven't got time even to breath ) I hope you didn't use too much of the info I sent you earlier this year Since the principle of my boards was made public to a few people, it can't be patented (I don't speak about my regular already released boards) But your main idea is good, I'm sure there is a market probably larger than what you think for the global solution you are planning to offer |

I am waiting on finsky to get in more stock, will he have these new 4k boards soon as well? I'm looking to put up a 8k setup, so the newer boards are very interesting  Love your product, always a treat not having to solder my own cables and boards, saves me a lot of time and cursing. Although I trust my skills, when dealing with these kinds of draws, properly built boards always make me feel better than homemade setups. Yes, of course. I don't think Finksy has any of my boards, I have been selling them here and on my website. I have 50 boards assembled, but am missing some connectors. They are due on 1/7/2017. The funny thing, is that I can't remember getting a single message from you regarding your issues with my hardware. My customers will probably confirm that I've always been open to any suggestion to improve my stuff. Except for the past few month, obviously. |

Just an update from me. 2 days ago I asked for a complete refund of +18k Euro and got excact same answer from Mr. Winkler as Marvin. My laywers are already informed and YM has until tomorrow to send us our refund. Time will tell, but I think its going to be a long haul...  According to insite knowledge from our hosting center on iceland YM does actually has reserved space for 500 pc M20 miners... this confuses me big time. R Xircom They reserved hosting space and electrical power. Doesn't mean they will put M20 in. Maybe some Bitfury, or even some 28nm gear from Bitmain/Avalon, who knows. What is pretty sure now is if they put some hardware there, it'll be bought with money stolen from customers. It's very unlikely to happen, but I wouldn't be too surprised if they refund a few customers who publicly posted here to get some advertising just like BFL did. So I ordered a pair of DPS-2000BB from a server supply company and I finally got them yesterday. They sent me two Rev. 3 which I think to myself great under Rev. 9 so it should be good for the volt mod and all that fun stuff. Unfortunately when I plug the breakout board to the pair of PSU and connect the power cable I get absolutely nothing. I take the exact same setup, same power cord, same outlet and same breakout board and plug it into a pair of Rev S8M and it works perfectly. Has anybody else had any experiences with Rev 3? I could understand if one of the power supplies was dead, but neither of these power supplies powered on at all.
I believe I never got an older revision than s5 or s6. To try them individually, you can plug the bottom one to the dual breakout hoard. This way, even voltage adjust works with a single PSU. The pinout for the PSU have to be the same on all revisions, or you'll have trouble on the servers. If the breakout board works with one revision, it'll work on all unless the very old revisions are using another pin combined with the one I use to turn on the PSU. Or you may have 1 or 2 dead PSUs. I purchased 32 of these PSUs from a dealer on eBay and they are all REV1-REV4 and they all work fine for me using the dual BB. The only issue I saw was at the highest setting, I was only getting 12.30~.40v. This was resolved by tweaking the internal VR501 pot an 1/8th of a turn to the left. Other than that, I haven't had any issues with my older REV PSUs. Mine all end with an "A" though as J4bberwock has mentioned, so that could also be an issue. Near where you plug in the power cord, you should see two glass domes there with AC written under one and DC written under the other. Do you see either one (I think AC should light up first) light up when you connect the power cable? If not I would say you have bad PSUs. Out of the 32 I tested, the one bad PSU I did have would power up (green light for AC & DC), but would shut down when placed under load. Both the green light for AC and DC would go out, and the volts would drop down dramatically on the LCD display. @J4bberwock - Could I have adjusted the external pot on your dual BB to correct the issue of the PSUs only putting out 12.30v? I only ask as I adjusted the small pot on the bottom left of the breakout board, but didn't notice a change in volts on the LCD screen or my multi-meter (I was turning the external pot to the left). As mentioned above, I manually adjusted the pot on the inside as I was afraid to keep turning the external one of the BB. The external pot on the breakout board will only have effect if the PSU is from a revision that can be adjusted I personally tested revisions from 6 to 10, and 6 to 8 are working. Can't remember if the S9 worked too. Clockwise will give more offset from the stock value of 12.2v Counterclockwise will reduce offset to a point you should reach close to stock value. Setting the external pot in middle position without touching the internal ones should give you 11.8v undervolt and 12.8v overvolt |

Get a mining calculator on the same day the ship is ship-able. Calculate the return the chip generates (at 100 GHash/s) per month with the NEXT (estimated) difficulty. Multiply that number by 8 (this is when it should break even). And there you have it ... the price of one chip. Right now the cost would be: Next est. Difficulty: 1.52542370411e+11 with 100 GH/s per month: 0.01003473 BTC multiplied by 8: 0.08027784 BTC total cost per chip (in a functioning miner ... PSU, housing etc. included) which currently results in 30.45 USD Enjoy! But this calculation was good for 28nm chips, so, you need to divide this number by 16(nm) and multiply it by 28(nm). End result would be $53.28 |
