284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: May 07, 2013, 09:04:56 AM
Hi, Coblee. Will and if so, how will this effect litecoin client? And will it effect litecoin client in any way?

https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/2577

Have not thought too much about how Litecoin will handle this yet. Will come up with a plan soon.

By the way, we have a new Litecoin wiki: http://litecoin.info

Lucky too my max bid was 50.

I actually have another set. I can give you a 1 BTC discount. Do you want it for 48 BTC?

Melbustus, unfortunately I have to invalidate your bid. We should go by forum time.

Congrats Hannah! You are the winner.

Yup. You came out of nowhere to win the auction. I will PM you a payment address.

The 84.5 bid is valid. Increments of at least 1 BTC. 84.5 is more than 1 BTC over 83. The next valid bid is 85.5 or more. Thanks.
295  Economy / Auctions / Re: AUCTION - 30x 1BTC (Series1) Casascius coin on: May 01, 2013, 12:16:53 AM
Maybe we should just combine our efforts? Coblee would you be willing to sell us each a roll at 78 since you have multiple rolls?

No, sorry.
296  Economy / Auctions / Re: AUCTION - 30x 1BTC (Series1) Casascius coin on: May 01, 2013, 12:09:23 AM
I'll give 1 coin to each bidder if my bid at 78 wins

This is not allowed. If there's any collusion going on, I would be forced to cancel the auction.

See you at 12:59, the again at 1:59, and again at 2:59, and 3:59, also at 4:59, then at 5:59 with a fresh cup of coffee, and so on and so on.

Good luck!

There's no need to wait til last minute, because it's not like you can snipe the auction when it delays it by another hour. So if you want to bid, it would make sense to bid right away.
298  Economy / Auctions / Re: AUCTION - 30x 1BTC (Series1) Casascius coin on: April 30, 2013, 11:58:22 PM
FWIW I don't think you should change auction terms after starting.  It's not like you can get everyone's consent.

Since I got 1 complaint, I will not change the auction terms.

FWIW consent is not needed by everyone, because it doesn't affect everyone. if you planned to come back to within an hour to bid, the change doesn't affect it. It only affects new bids that happen near the end and those bidders should have already read the new rules. There's a slight chance it will affect some that thought the auction will likely last hours, so they went to sleep. And if they wake up to find that the auction ended quickly due to a last minute rule change, they might be pissed.

Anyways, auction rule will remain unchanged for this auction. Sorry

After seeing how my first auction is going, I believe the 1 hour bid extension is too long. This could cause the auction to last a very long time. I'm changing the auction rule such that the bid extension is only 5 minutes. If you would like to retract your bid due to this change, please post here.
