I think we should stop doing what makes us unhappy. I.e. staying in jobs that are detrimental to our growth as a person. I'd like to get out there and enjoy life and not be couped up in an office all day. Sounds pretty cliche I know but it's what I honestly believe.

I actually drink a lot of water. No sugary sodas or anything. It also saves a lot of money and is more readily available, just get some nice and cool water out of your tap Smiley People don't know what they're missing!

This is what I try to do. My friends are constantly drinking juices, sodas and coffee. I have one friend who drinks Pepsi for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have never seen her drink anything else. The amount of work she is putting her kidneys through is insanity. I really try to be pro-active in drinking water daily, i.e. carrying a water bottle and filling it up at water fountains at school. Water is so underrated.

Breaking Bad ranks up pretty high in my list. I was really sad when the series ended. Owell, anticipating the Better Call Saul spin off now. Hopefully it will be a good one and get continuous support from the network. I really liked seeing his character onscreen!

Chrono Trigger (SNES): My very first experience with an RPG. I really enjoyed the story telling and the battle systems. The battle system was amazing back in the day. Dual attacks? Unheard of fun.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors (SNES): Really fun multi-player gaming at it's finest. Not many games from the 90's translate well to the modern day but this game holds up amazingly well. My friends and I play it on my modded Wii all the time.

BattleToads and DoubleDragon (SNES): Super fun beat-em up and extremely hard to beat. I challenge anyone to try and beat this game.

Resident Evil 1 (PS1): This game blew my mind when I first played it. From the graphics to the zombies.

Starcraft 1 (PC): I've probably spent 1000 hours on this game trying to micro properly. I still watch matches from Korea.

Diablo 2 (PC): One of my favorites of all time. It was my first online multi-player experience.

Unreal Tournament 2004 (PC): I freaking loved this game as a middle schooler. Hooly jesus, the amount of fun I had fragging people on DSL modems is unimaginable.

World of Warcraft (PC): Was extremely addicted to this game in High School. So much so that my grades started to suffer. I had to take a 2 year hiatus from this game because it was that addictive. I'll treasure the memories though. First time on Barrens chat everyone claimed to have had intercourse with my mother when I asked where Madrik's wife was.

To me the answer to this question will always be Lena Heady (Cersei from GOT). She's got that malicious look in her eyes that turn me on. I want her to punish me and do generally bad things to me Smiley

There's one on Netflix called WEEDS. Talks about how weed got it's label as the devil's plant throughout the years. Interesting stuff but there are some conspiracy theorycrafting in it.
470  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin arbitrage, pros and cons, experience and profitability on: September 04, 2014, 11:04:22 AM
I looked into arbitrage a few years ago but found it to be nice as a concept but doing it in reality has so many drawbacks, price change, time of transfer, fees etc

In the end i went a different way and found something profitable to the tune of about 2-2.5% per sat move against altcoin btc pair per trade.I tried telling ppl about it as i was looking to sell it but at that time noone actually beleived it was possible mathematicly so i was stuck with it.Poor me

Arbing just wasnt for me,not in crypto anyways

What do you mean by this exactly? Moving bitcoin to altcoins in order to make a profit essentially?

What kind of stakes are involved here in each bet? Any input from anyone that has won/lost?

I definitely believe in magic haha. How else did David Copperfield make that giant elephant disappear in his act from the mid 90's?
473  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scientific proof that God exists? on: September 04, 2014, 10:22:43 AM
If I was to be able to prove to you  that does God exist, what would that look like? What law of science would it be based upon? Mathematics, physics, geology, etc.? I ask because it seems to me that most Atheists expect the answer to be based in science or it would be no answer at all -- but I had a question elsewhere about what I thought could be demonstrated by science and it seems that science cannot solve the problem; the philosopher's pedagogy is the more appropriate tool.

It will always be a mistery to me why celeb nudes get so many people excited.

Probably the culture of celebrity worship and the mass induction of mindless "reality" TV shows that plague network television. I swear if someone turns to one with the Kardashianeas or however that's spelled again I will have an aneurysm.
475  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can you quit your job tomorrow and be happy? on: September 04, 2014, 09:57:35 AM
I haven't had a job, but seriously, even though I'd still want an internet connection I wouldn't mind living off the land considering if everything goes to hell it's people like this that will be the most well off, you can't grow food in a several story flat very easily.

I guess that would be the hardest part in all this. We all need our internet fix. Satellite internet or broadband card from Verizon or another major carrier perhaps?
476  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can you quit your job tomorrow and be happy? on: September 04, 2014, 09:55:22 AM
Yes ive always been interested in doing something like this, there are spots near me for house boats i could get my personal outgoings down to just a few hundred a month.

As regards living in alternative housing in the woods or someones backyard in the UK we seem to be nazi's for planning permission.  They attempt to squeeze everyone into the house ponzi scheme over here to keep prices even higher.  Total shit hole country for housing we have.

Thanks for channel link will be going through during today like this kinda stuff Smiley

478  Other / Off-topic / Can you quit your job tomorrow and be happy? on: September 04, 2014, 09:37:32 AM
I've been watching a lot of videos from this youtube channel lately: Tiny House Movement (https://www.youtube.com/user/kirstendirksen). She has hundreds of videos where she films and interviews people from all over the world about their unique living situation. Some people live in cob or straw bale houses in the woods, being self reliant and living off the land. Others build a tiny house for around $15k and set it down in a friend's backyard. Some live at sea in their boat/houseboat.

You can't help but be swayed by the romantic notion these people have in all these videos. Jealousy perhaps if I might say. I'm in my early 20's and currently in a job that I don't really enjoy doing. I wish I did but I don't. I see what these people are doing and I think: wow, these people aren't really stressed out because they don't have to worry as much about making $60 - 70k to survive in this economy.

What do you guys think? Could you quit your job you have tomorrow and be happy with that decision?
479  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Youtube video are you watching now? on: September 04, 2014, 09:30:50 AM
Great question!

Right now I'm watching Simple Living on a Boat in West London (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sbb9qm-pqw). I've been really fascinated with these types of videos lately. Tiny Houses, Boat homes, RV homes and stuff like that seems really interesting. Makes you think you can escape the rat race--not have to work as much and stress over your income as much.

No love for the Halo series? I played a lot of that in high school. I'm actually kinda glad 343 studios took over and is continuing the franchise. It's like seeing an old friend meet his someone and watching them happily ever after. I hope great things come of the new Halo series. Great memories on Halo 2 and 3. Zanzibar!!
