BTW, these manipulations have a name - market trading

Um no BTC didn't just lose over 70% of its value because of just market trading... Lets be serious here

Me too , I don't think this is a simple market trading ... this is a manipulation from an earlty miner/adopter . ( I'm not sure at 100%).

Trust me this is somebody who just got into the game... Miners have been dumping slowly & very few hold but some do.

Early miner is like saying  early adopters , only  a couple of them can do this .

8045  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: We are finding millions of blocks but why ? on: October 07, 2014, 08:18:46 PM
Because Bitcoin is a cryptoconcurrency and to function it needs blocks in which it can pack transactions to verify them and to keep the blockchain moving.
If people don't mine the chain stops.*

and bitcoin will dead , if no one mine  the TX will not confirmed and this is equal to the dead of the first crypto-coin (bitcoin).
8046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Where the Heck is the ArchCoin thread??? on: October 07, 2014, 08:05:34 PM
Why would you lock the thread without saying why first, it makes things look shady. I am sure plenty of fud will start now, and u see the price drop, cause everyone panicked. I almost sold myself.

It was actually locked a while ago. All the info is being disseminated on IRC. Typical nonsense BCT fudders polluting the ann. Sell if you must. They will be gobbled up.

I understand, I just think a explaination why it was locked would of been good.

For example...

Due to fud and negative nancys, this thread is locked. Please feel free to visit us in our Irc channel at....

https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net/#archcoin

Agreed. Exactly.
No explanation nothing ??
I've been always supporting BTCarchitect, beeing his kind of fun.
But but when I asked them the same question what you asking here they offended me and called me fudster and other not nice names.
BTCarchitect was online at that time, no reaction.
I am really disapointed.
If they act like that it's a shame, I don't want to be part of that group.

Then sell your coins and move on.

I think it is a plan of the dev , he want to all the users dump the coin and after only who will believe in the project will remain in the "group". It is only my opinion maybe I'm wrong.
8047  Economy / Speculation / Re: Massive short positions are forming... on: October 07, 2014, 07:19:48 PM

You def will be able to bro, Look how more short orders are opening at 329 now, just had a huge drop to 325 & its continuing fast.......

Dump it more, babe! I need it below 320!

Ahahah I think that I will buy at 290 $ ( or at least I hope ).  Dump it !
8048  Economy / Speculation / Re: Massive short positions are forming... on: October 07, 2014, 06:50:50 PM
OP, I know you are shorting. But, who cares? Smiley

Recent manipulatuon was so blatant that nobody will shit their pants when someone dumps insane amounts.

If some dumb whale dumps 50k coins and eats all the asks, it would not mean that "bitcoin is dead", it will mean only cheap coins for us.

Yes of course , the bitcoin value is dead  but the bitcoin protocol is still working  Smiley.  *Personal opinion* I think the bitcoin value ( not price)  was overpriced in the past months  and now it is returning to the origin Wink.
8049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Where the Heck is the ArchCoin thread??? on: October 07, 2014, 06:48:38 PM
Huh Huh Huh

Where is it, did it get deleted? I noticed the drop in price and wanted to see what was up...

It was not deleted it was only locked , if you want to talk with him this is the irc channel :

Have a nice day .
8050  Economy / Speculation / Re: Massive short positions are forming... on: October 07, 2014, 06:37:26 PM
I have been watching the exchanges since last night & I notice everytime it gets past 330 it quickly get shot down with huge <BTC100 orders. Now that margin accounts and shorting exist it seems people are betting even more coins than they have, that the btc price will continue to go down. Maybe someone with a lot of coins keep building a short order like he did at $300 with that huge BTC30k wall??? Im sending out a nice tip to whoever can help me find out who is causing this

At the moment I think there is only an high manipulation  so be careful when you buy some btc Wink
8051  Economy / Lending / Re: BTC loan with collateral on: October 07, 2014, 06:32:19 PM
New User and with 200k+ transaction volume asking for a small loan and willing to give passport copy to some stranger in the web...how uncommon. Sorry, but i doubt you will get a loan without adequate collateral

Me too, if you don't provide a valid collateral I doubt no one will give you a loan . However @madras check here if you want to know what is a "valid" collateral : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577765.msg6311902#msg6311902

8052  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB 0.20 BTC with Paypal on: October 07, 2014, 06:19:14 PM
I want to buy 0.20 BTC with Paypal at bitstamp price +3%

I sent with family or friends option! i need a honest member for send first

with paypal it is fairest that you would send first. Paypal can be charged back, so you are asking the buyer to assume all the risk which isn't fair. the buyer can't chargeback the btc, but you can chargeback the paypal. therefore, you should send first.

Right version:

You should not use  paypal if you don't trust the buyer Wink , it doesn't matter if you send firstly or not  . I hope you understand this .

Have a nice day.

Money sent through PayPal and any other money transfer service that accepts credit cards can be easily reversed by the sender, even after several weeks.
Therefore, you should only accept PayPal in trades with people you trust very highly.

8054  Local / Annunci / Re: [BURST] Un'altcoin da minare con l'hard disk! Wallet 1.1.3 on: October 07, 2014, 05:30:32 PM

Wallet 1.1.3 on: October 07, 2014, 05:01:57 PM

Wallet 1.1.3 on: October 07, 2014, 04:41:37 PM

8058  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] $5 btc with paypal. i send first, we exchange feedback on: October 07, 2014, 03:49:00 PM
Check this :

Money sent through PayPal and any other money transfer service that accepts credit cards can be easily reversed by the sender, even after several weeks. Therefore, you should only accept PayPal in trades with people you trust very highly.

This is why newbies are not likely to sell their PayPal USD for bitcoins successfully.

Some other services that are not totally safe:
- Bank transfers (ACH, etc.) except wire transfers
- Most gift cards.
- Moneypak
- AlertPay
- Paysafecards
- Dwolla
- Western Union (they reportedly will sue the recipient to recover money in some cases)

So I don't trust you  Wink .
Have a nice day .

Fair enough, though you clearly overlooked my post and inserted your agenda, its whatever to me. I plainly stated i would allow you to wait until the chargeback window is closed before sending the coins.

The chargeback  can be done even after so many months , for example 3-4 months . Do you want to wait 3-4 month to receive your btc ?

I think the answer is : no.

8059  Other / Meta / Re: cooldgamer abuse of the trust system on: October 07, 2014, 03:45:03 PM
Some may argue you were trying to abuse the system by attempting to essentially buy trust. You'll have to work it out with him, but I don't think he did anything wrong here, especially when you were quite open in what you were attempting to do.

i simply stated that i wanted to establish myself as trustworthy, and request to receive positive trust after completion of a trade. how does that warrant a negative trust. this is bullcrap

Can you not see how trying to buy trust to make yourself appear 'trustworthy' makes you the exact opposite?

i'm not trying to make myself appear as anything you fucking retard, i'm trying to prove my trustworthiness by completing a trade!

I think the best way to try a reputable  trust is:  the activity , you should stay more time here in the forum an help the other users , the second thing is do a  lot of deal with a lot of users Wink.
