261  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 28, 2014, 03:59:41 PM
do you guys think it is a good idea  to sell all my 200btc for ripple Undecided

will ripple replace bitcoin soon?

I would say trust nobody, do your own research, and make up your own mind.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Louisd’or(codename)- first anonymous PoS, CN-based currency (technical review) on: December 28, 2014, 03:38:53 PM
hey dev, choose a good name for this coin.
Nothing like Blooberry or anything this type, please.
Choose a name that refers to anonymity or hacktivism
Also do not choose the word shadow or dark in any other language, already there are shitcoins with that name.
Is there any prediction for the launch?
And beware with members from shadowcoin community, wanting to steal your ideas, they've done it with several coins and after that get what they want, often try to destroy them with fud and troll.

I think if Blooberry had been given a better name it might be considerably more popular now.

What would you consider to be a good name?

I'm no good at inventing names. All I can say is miss out shadow or dark from it.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altworld is Dead! on: December 28, 2014, 03:30:44 PM
Of the coins right now that are not plagued are Litecoin, Doge, Peercoin, and Darkcoin.  That said, even these might fade away.

In the non-coin world, Maidsafe or Storj might do something interesting.  Ripple/Stellar too.  CounterParty needs to be watched. Each of these are managing to stay afloat.

Ethereum or Blockstream might completely disrupt the alt community.

There are also a few coins working on new code that might have a chance to do things right and put Litecoin, Doge, Peercoin, and Darkcoin into the irrelevant sector.  Why have a bastardized Bitcoin clone, when you can have a blockchain designed from scratch in a nice and clean code.

Which coins are they please?

265  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Price Go Exponential Now that Christmas is Over? on: December 28, 2014, 02:27:47 PM
i have an idea.   we all return our christmas gifts to the store and buy bitcoins.   price will skyrocket, then we can buy our gifts back and still have profits

Ha ha.
All except the last ones to buy bitcoin and the last ones to buy gifts.
They will be left holding the bag.  Tongue

Have you tried returning christmas gifts to the store? Getting the money back can be like getting blood out of a stone.

It's possible to dump your bitcoins this christmas, but almost impossible to dump your gifts.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altworld is Dead! on: December 28, 2014, 02:09:22 PM
of course. 95% of coins are greedy and unclean.

The altcoins i found to be clean or reasonably clean (no premine, no scam, open source, good history, active community, legit crypto and no doubts about it) in Top 100 are:

-Litecoin
-Megacoin
-Unobtanium
-Namecoin
-Peercoin
-Primecoin
-Feathercoin
-Dogecoin
-Reddcoin
-Vertcoin
-Bitmark

i think those are the ones that will survive for longer time. Possible i forgot a hand full of coins. The list is my personal conclusion based on own research. Others may disagree.
The majority especially the greed/ripoff/unfair-coins will have a hard time. It is no problem for me since i was investing in ethical coins only all the time.
All this shenangians we see currently is not of interest to me and won't affect the legit coins i am holding. In fact the legit coins will benefit from it.

hahah these coins are finished, btw vert coin and reddcoin also pulled some scam in the beginning, these cons are just you holding fag. Also all these shenanigans are being pulled by bitcoin and litecoin supporters aswell, they are the veterans of trolling other coins

It says on reddit that reddcoin had a 5% premine that was sold in an IPO.

267  Economy / Speculation / Re: What would you do with 35 bitcoins? on: December 28, 2014, 01:53:24 PM
I would start trading them and before you know it I would have 30 BTC.

That would be due to bitcoin traders using credit default swaps, naked short sells, derivatives, and currency manipulation.

I like bitcoin because in the age of credit default swaps, naked short sells, derivatives, and currency manipulation, there is a community that thrusts a finger at the banksters and is trying to bring sanity back to commerce.

268  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin up 10% in 24hrs WHY? One word: RUSSIA on: December 28, 2014, 01:34:20 PM
They afraid bitcoin will become strong in their country

RussiaCoin is well placed to take advantage of the Russian Economic downturn http://www.russiacoin.info/

With just over 7.7 Million RC coins, RC is POS and is sitting at 93 sats (with less than 1% of RussiaCoin's listed at BlueTrade ~ https://bleutrade.com/exchange/2129 )

Check us out at Facebook https://www.facebook.com/RussiaCoin

and follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/RussiaCoin

You can buy RussiaCoins with BitCoins, LiteCoins, DogeCoins and even US dollars.

Let me see, Scrypt algorithm with 15% PoS & 144 million coin will be created.
I bet this coin price never reach 5 bits

Most country coins get pumped and dumped.

270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ECCoin (ECC) Takeover by Trusted-Cryptos Team [Griffith] on: December 28, 2014, 11:21:22 AM
What is the intended method for claiming new coins : import old private key into new wallet ?

No, that won't work as we plan to create a whole new blockchain.
There needs to be done a swap. Old coins for new ones. We can do that on the exchange or via our website trustedcryptos.com. We are in the planning stages, thats why we want to know what you all think about it.

In this stage we can also discuss the specs of the new ECC (or whatever name we want it to have). We haven't talked with the exchanges yet, because we think that we first need to talk this over with all of us.

Lottoshares used an import of private key for several different coins, claiming LTS on that separate blockchain. It worked well (the coin is defunct now for other reasons)

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=694341.0    A snapshot of blockchains (including coins unable to sync) was taken at a certain date, and the balances of coin were set into the new blockchain.

If it could be programmed this way might it not save a lot of trouble ?

Many holders are unable to sync wallets.

The Lottoshares method seems fairer than a swap because people tend to miss swap deadlines and lose their coins.

I feel good,

I want to know the detailed rules, IPO? Or mine? Can you explain?

Alternatively it might be distributed through a free giveaway.
272  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will Botcoin be in 2015? on: December 28, 2014, 10:37:33 AM
I don't think we will see $1000 this year.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CommunityCoin (COMM) | Pure PoS | Original COMM MultiPools Coming Soon on: October 30, 2014, 10:55:57 AM
Mintpal going to cancel COMM transaction

What do you mean by cancel COMM transaction? Do you have coins trapped on Mintpal?
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WTF with DOGE! on: September 15, 2014, 10:04:23 AM
It looks like there's life in the old dog yet. Maybe Doge will not die after all.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 23, 2014, 11:52:20 PM
I always wait a little bit before getting the latest wallet, unless there is a fork involved.

In other news, when are we getting our multipool? The market could use the buy pressure and I don't want BTC at the moment.

I have been hoping for a multipool to start pumping up the price too.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DEV ACQUIRED]Superior Coin Design: Most fair Distribution model on: June 23, 2014, 11:47:50 PM

EDIT: One of Crypto's most talented devs has agreed to work on this project for me.

Could you tell us the name of this dev please?
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] | VeriCoin | PoS - Dynamic Interest | SMS | ANON on: June 23, 2014, 11:39:50 PM
can anyone help me understand why coins such as RZR and XMR are valued so much higher than VRC… i just dont understand the logic on these coins (or altcoins) for that matter…does that mean they are better than VRC?
They have less coins.

42 coin is worth over 8 bitcoins each, but there will only be 42 coins minted when it's fully mined.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHARE]ShareCoin - Pure POS - MultiPool - FeeShare Pre-Sale opening TODAY on: May 05, 2014, 04:39:49 PM

279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CommunityCoin (COMM) Fair & FREE Distribution | Pure PoS | BTER - MINTPAL on: April 24, 2014, 01:42:00 PM
Wow. This thread has certainly become much more than what I expected. Good job guys but what's with so much FUD everywhere and dumpers all over Mintpal. Why are you even selling so low? This coin has so much potential and wasting it like that is sad. Let's get to Cryptsy next and improve our condition in the market.

Oh,and one more thing. Please refrain from using massive red-letter formatting. It makes the thread unreadable and gives it a bad look. I know you mean well, but that combined with all the nested comments you're gonna get is making the thread unreadable and frankly, very confusing. Thanks.

I agree, lets start pushing to get it on cryptsy.

Please keep commenting and voting here to get COMM on cryptsy.
