litecoin and coin2
Why do you think coin2 is under rated?

Would be great if this took off
It's not a bad risk to reward ratio at present!

this is a smart move. i bet sport sites will be writing articles about it.
good job
If a few national news TV stations pick up on it DOGE will get amazing amounts of publicity.

I only lost coins from one hacked exchange, all the others paid me out of their own pockets.
I forget the name of the one that ripped me off, but I remember he put a picture of a cartoon cow in place of the site and refused to communicate, until someone posted his name and address here.
CoinEx is nothing compared to that!
I know how you feel about delayed withdrawals. I have lost quite a lot of money from them after missing trading opportunities.

Have you any tips as to the exact day it will be listed on Cryptsy?

When I read this post's title I thought it meant coinedup had gone offline for good. Same here. It's open season on exchanges. Come to think of it...I should fire up my tor browser and lurk around in the dark web to see if some cracker forums have threads sharing robbable exploits of altcoin exchanges. The hits have been so rapid, the exploits likely have made the rounds in those corners. You are right, just when I had recovered from my coinedup shock I found out my coins on CoinEx have been stolen along with everyone else's. However, they say they will pay us back out of their own pocket.

At least they were not hacked like CoinEx. Their wallet server recently got hacked and all funds were stolen (including mine).
The site just says "maintenance mode" at present, but they say they will pay everyone back out of their own pockets.

They need to actually have the coins.
I still would like to know how they had the wallet server hacked and lost ALL their coins, yet are going to refund everyone. The value of what they held had to have been staggering.
Damn, not another exchange hacked! I have a small amount of coins in an account, but have not used it for ages. I hope I get them back.

Make it X11 Algo - its efficioent and asic resistant for now Scrypt is already in a cofin headed to the grave.
It will be a good move to make it X11 !!!
I think X11 is the way to go too.

Dev are all coin spots filled..
I doubt it The first page says the 1 billion coins will be distributed to 1000 individuals and everyone has to post both here and put their wallet address on either ecoiner, cryptocointalk or facebook. This thread has nowhere near 1000 posts yet, so there must be plenty of spots left.

I just checked it out and it's looking good.

People can stay up later at the weekend without it affecting their day jobs. A weekend launch would be better.

Does this need upgrading if the regular qt wallet is upgraded.
Also, someone said these lightweight wallets automatically detect the longest blockchain, so there is no need to upgrade after a hard fork. Is this correct?
this is a good question.. I wouldn't think so since as you said, it only reads the current blockchain, it doesn't do any work/mining to it. I'm afraid the only way to get a surefire answer is to try it yourself; I'm going to try this too with the android wallet ( http://digitalcoin.co/forums/index.php?topic=964.msg6769#msg6769) so I can know for future reference. We've got a new update coming out in the next few weeks ( http://digitalcoin.co/forums/index.php/topic,965.0.html) so we'll know soon enough. EDIT: Actually yes, after asking baritus the light wallet will need to be updated any time the blockchain goes through a hardfork. I guess we need to hear from hashengineering and shimal in regards to the android wallet/dub respectively. Have there been any hardforks recently, or are any coming up in the near future?

Greetings, this morning an alert was issued about Cryptsy possibly using an old version of Hobonickels (1.2) running on a side fork. Tranz (developer) has created a ticket about this issue. No strange behavior has been noticed by the users and withdrawals work correctly. OP: https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/9094-hold-transfers-to-cryptys/They were lucky there were no serious problems.

When I read this post's title I thought it meant coinedup had gone offline for good. You had me worried there. They can do what they like as long as I can get my coins out.

Dogecoin because they hanged it to allow a bit for inflation after most of the coins are mined instead of a hard cap. It's probably a better idea to do it that way but the PR was incredibly badly handled.
|
|
|
I think it's just a scam if the dev keeps most of the coins and dumps whenever it suits him.
However, there are a few fully pre-mined coins I like because they are widely distributed between a thousand or more people without the dev keeping the majority.

Giveaways are not allowed any more according to this thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=434310.0Wouldn't you be better asking people to pm you their shitcoin addresses? I would love some shit, but I'm afraid to post an address in case the mod bars me. Where do I get a shit wallet from?
