301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ann]Vote New coins on Bter.com - Which new coin should Bter add in next week? on: April 11, 2014, 05:55:37 PM
Please list community coin (COMM) in the poll. It is a new proof of stake coin that is currently being fairly distributed among 500 bitcointalk members. The distribution is almost complete and a big community has already grown around the coin who would like to actively vote for it to be listed on bter.

Yes, please add COMM. It's already listed on AllCrypt and it's getting a few trades. Not bad for a new PoS coin that's still being distributed.
+1

I just started a thread on the Cryptsy Freshdesk forum where we can request that they add COMM. Like you say cryptsy is probably not interested at the moment, but now at least they have heard of COMM. If the thread gets a lot of comments from us cryptsy should start to take more interest in us.

https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/4000272952

Please add your votes to this Cryptsy thread requesting they add COMM. There is only one of us voted so far, which looks bad for the community. If there are more votes they might consider adding us faster.

A coin really needs to be on the cryptsy voting list to stand a really good chance of getting on cryptsy. I opened a ticket requesting that they add COMM. The response should normally take 24 hours.

If COMM makes it onto the list each cryptsy user among us can vote for free. We can also buy votes accordng to the cryptsy rules below.

We are also accepting paid votes, which have no limit on the number of votes you can cast. Adding new markets requires a significant development investment for each new coin, so your paid votes will help offset the costs and accelerate the development time.

Paid votes can be submitted using either BTC or CryptsyPoints. To vote with BTC, simply send BTC to the deposit address listed next to the coin(s) you wish to support. Every 0.0002 BTC sent to the respective address received will count for 1 vote. You can click on the address link next to any coin to view payment votes cast using BTC, which are posted after getting 2 or more confirmations.

I got the reply below from Cryptsy. Now they know about COMM and it might be listed on their voting poll page after they have finished reviewing it.

Thank you for introducing me to this coin.

I have submitted your coin to our development team who will review it
to see if it meets our requirements for addition to the Cryptsy exchange.
If there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know.

Who thinks we should go on Cryptsy?

I'm also prepared to make donations for special or innovative ideas.

In my opinion cryptsy is not interesting at the moment. We should concentrate on mintpal.

By the time distribution is over we will probably manage to get on mintpal. After we have a good exchange we should focus a lot more on other new things to bring to the community similar to the multipool idea.

306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Poll] How many stakeholders should CommunityCoin have? on: April 04, 2014, 09:05:02 PM
The quicker the better. After that we can really focus on further progress and development of the coin.

I agree and voted for less than 500.

Ideally the original 1000 would be best, and if possible 500 would be good, but it it takes too long I think less than 500 is a fair compromise.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy is so F$&%ing FRUSTRATING!. Switching to MintPal on: March 26, 2014, 09:55:05 PM
I only lost coins from one hacked exchange, all the others paid me out of their own pockets.

I forget the name of the one that ripped me off, but I remember he put a picture of a cartoon cow in place of the site and refused to communicate, until someone posted his name and address here.

CoinEx is nothing compared to that!

I know how you feel about delayed withdrawals. I have lost quite a lot of money from them after missing trading opportunities.

It was ecrypto-net - see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=385591.20

The scammer that ran the site thought it was quite funny after he did a runner & put a picture of a cow up. That was until his face got plastered all over the net as a conman. He claimed he intended to pay everyone back within a month or so, yet we have heard nothing from him since.

Now I remember the name.

So much for paying us back our money. It was months ago and he has apparently stopped answering emails.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Official] Coinbook - track your crypto holdings across exchanges and wallets on: March 26, 2014, 09:37:21 PM
This is a great idea. Prices fluctuate so much that I'm sure most investors never have a clue how much their investments are worth.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: March 26, 2014, 09:32:33 PM
I doubt we will ever be able to buy premine coins this cheap ever again. It's a golden buying opportunity.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POT] PotCoin Launches Today 01/21 @ 4:20 on: March 26, 2014, 09:28:15 PM
Thanks for clearing things up. I heard so much conflicting information about this that I was not sure who to believe.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AURORA COIN an undervalued coin with great opportunity ! on: March 26, 2014, 09:22:40 PM
Good time to buy them while they are low i guess? were they really at $90?
It will be interesting to see how this currency works out, it can only work if the people that adopt it in iceland embrace it and treat it as a valuable currency and start trading with it.

Someone claimed they hit $95!
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official BlackCoin statement from CryptoRush - Very shocking information on: March 26, 2014, 09:19:15 PM
take a look at cryptorush balances. POT deamon difference is huge! Looks like someone robbed cryptorush Today at 02:56:33 PM , Thieves!

CoinEx got robbed today too, but they say they are paying everyone back out of their own pockets.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ann]Vote New coins on Bter.com - Which new coin should Bter add in next week? on: March 26, 2014, 09:17:21 PM
add the fastest crypto which is Ultracoin! 20 seconds to confirm!!

15 seconds faster than fastcoin and 200 times faster than bitoin

omg +1 to this coin

I agree, faster transaction times could have helped prevent the transaction malleability bug because the exchanges would not have to wait forever for them to complete and rely on a temporary transaction id.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [COINO] KGW ACTIVATED - WALLET UPDATE ▬► COINO -(O)- ◄▬ The fastest Coin on: March 26, 2014, 09:14:47 PM
pppfff this coino is not dead and will NOT be dead in 2 months. There are things going on behind the scenes that will ensure the coin remains stable AND a responsible DEV team. I do not care if the current Dev comes back or not. This coin is moving forward with or without their help.

The only concern I have is if the Devs do come back and if they are maintaining the road map, where they are at on it and what they have done thus far. I do not want to cover ground that they are covering. There is no point to developing something as a competing factor to a coin that we are all invested in.

As in please have confidence and know that we all care what happens. We as a whole control the fate of Coino and when you dump it you lose.

Half the alt coins on coinmarketcap look dead, but they will come back to life when bitcoin does. I expect coino will do well them, especially with what the new devs are planning.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [V] Version - Rare Desirable NO PREMINE Store of Value -->> v0.8.9.9 FIX on: March 26, 2014, 08:57:43 PM
Anyone able to explain what is going on with POS?  Several thousand coins have drained out of my wallet and show no sign of returning.  Is it simply that blocks are moving very slowly now?

Anyone able to shed any light on this?

More than 80% of the coins in my wallet seem to have wandered off about 7 days ago.  They show "0 of 6 confirmations". Encrypting and re-synching has made no difference.  Are they lost?

I'm frightened to open my wallet after reading this.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MOON] Mooncoin: You know where it's headed! NEW SOURCE RELEASED 2/16/2014! on: March 26, 2014, 08:55:36 PM
Cheap coins are flooding the market, as it seems. Maybe a good time to buy.

It's a good idea to buy now when everyone else is selling.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN PoS+ PoW] eXocoin [EXO] - gen 2.0 - developed from scratch! Free Give-Away on: March 26, 2014, 08:39:22 PM
Glad I got out of this ipo early on!
Why are you glad?
The coin has a steady progress and will release it's beta test within one week!!!!
It gets more and more clear that this coin will definitely have a bright future.
What a pity you are out while you had a chance and got out of it.

It might have been better to have had a look at the beta test before getting out.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: March 26, 2014, 08:35:37 PM

Wow, hadn't seen it yet. We all knew for a few days things at cryptorush were a mess, we just didn't know how bad it really was. The amount stolen is shocking. I wonder if they will go public now, and tell what really happened.

When do exchanges start learning from the mistakes of others? Like only keeping X% in the hot wallet...

They are not the only ones, CoinEx has just been hacked.

320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will 1000 colossuscoin reach 1 US$ one day? on: March 26, 2014, 08:27:50 PM
If the coin did reach $1.00 it wouldn't make much of a difference, considering the wallet won't sync.  At least the Mac Wallet won't.  No matter what I do.  It doesn't really inspire confidence in the coin as a whole.
Exactly. It amazes me how often this is overlooked. Even IF working nodes are posted on the front page, which in this case there aren't, not having a consistently updated compilation of the wallet that actually includes an "out of the box" installer with all the configs it needs means that your coin will never be widely adopted. But let's start with giving users the ability to at least make there on config files to sync with. That is a start to making it worth more that 10 latoshi.

A zipped config file download link on the website would encourage people to adopt.
