Personally I would go for the RX 570 rig as your getting more hash rate for not much dearer price, they both seem pretty good value for pre-built systems.

If they are used the other things to look out for are how long of warranty is left, if they were in a dusty environment and how long they have been mining for.

Finally what determines if they are worth getting is your electricity costs and you should also calculate profitability on whattomine to get an idea on how long ROI will take.

For my RX 570 cards I get around 26mh/s for ETH and 700-750mh/s for DCR, I was using 29 for -dcri.

This would come in handy for a lot of miners if it starts to get adopted more, also interested to hear if anyone else has used it.

Yes as above you could run a benchmark with NiceHash to see what performance you get for the Lyra2REv2 algorithm.

If you do a search for your specific GPU models you might also be able to find information on what hashrate other people are getting mining Vertcoin.

Yes i'd also go for the 5x RX570 as you'll get more hashing power.

My rig has 4xRX570 and performance has been good so far, there the ASUS expedition OC model though so a bit lower hashrate but power usage is good. Mining Eth they get 27mh/s each using a powersaving rom.

As above not until after November 1st until wallets are released and the network is stable. You will then need to find a pool that supports Bitcoin Gold mining and use equihash mining software.

I also think the rules changes will be beneficial as it means members who believe in the project will have to contribute in a way to gain 100 onions or invest in the project.

Regarding setting up POS mining, it mentions in the first post - Sending a transaction to your own address with any amount of POS.

Does this mean from your own address to your own address or does it mean it activates once you send POS from another Eth address?

I think the concept is good and puts more focus on community contribution on the DO Forum.
