61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nanopool now has an Electroneum pool! on: December 12, 2017, 09:27:10 PM
Down for me too Tongue

There currently doing maintenance, it does not affect mining, see here: https://twitter.com/nanopool_org/status/940664415061454848
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Pool for Electroneum? on: December 11, 2017, 02:33:24 PM
Just seen that Nanopool support ETN now, i'm currently mining Monero but will switch to ETN after my next payout and test this pool for ETN.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: POLL: Nicehash resuming operations - are you going back? on: December 11, 2017, 02:23:38 PM
I've only used the service temporarily to get paid in BTC when it was increasing a lot a few weeks ago but it's always been better to mine using your own software/pool etc.

Personally I would not trust them again and will stick to mining Eth/Monero on Nanopool.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What size SSD do I need for Ethereum or Menero? on: December 07, 2017, 09:43:39 AM
Thanks guys. I will buy the 128 GB Smiley

Yes no harm in getting the the extra size when SSD's are fairly cheap now. I have a 60gb SSD in mine and its been fine so far, it really depends on if your going to store any data on it after windows/miners etc.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: December 07, 2017, 08:36:29 AM
Recently switched over to mining Monero, patiently waiting for Ledger support like most people Grin
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash hacked? on: December 06, 2017, 04:48:57 PM
Recently switched away from using NiceHash so havn't been affected by this, hope it turns out that they are actually just doing maintenance and everyone's balances remain intact.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashrate RX 570 on: December 06, 2017, 01:50:01 PM
Hello guys

ETH veteran here, but wanting some feedback of these cards on XMR

Could you share your hashrates and wattages for XMR?

thanks!

My Asus expedition OC RX 570's with Anorak's power save rom get 662.5h/s mining cryptonight algo.

GPU only power draw in GPU Z is approx 75w, still need to test it at the wall.

Interesting. I have the same cards.  How much ETH Mh/s do you get?   Mine do 28.8 Mh/s @ 1080/1950  837mv  (gpu-z 70ish watts).

Sorry for the late reply, with Eth using Claymores I get 27mh/s without any OC mods, just the updated bios so you should get higher than mine anyway.

Does anyone have good settings in MSI Afterburner for XMR mining with the RX 570 above?
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining coins that offer masternodes? on: December 05, 2017, 01:21:17 PM
I've started looking into it as it could work out very profitable but it doesn't look like many of the new MC coins offer much, there only forks of dash with no unique features.

I tried mining Desire which uses neoscrypt and could generate enough coins to get the MC amount in a couple of weeks but left it as I didn't see much potential.

Still on the lookout for a decent coin that can be mined and setup as a masternode for good staking rewards for the future.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: which one more profitable?? on: December 05, 2017, 12:25:32 PM
Yes, personally I would stay away from cloud mining. If your interested in mining start small and buy a GPU to test things out and then go from there.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gateless Gate Sharp 1.1.3: zawawa's open-source dual ETH/XMR/PASC/LBC miner on: December 05, 2017, 12:23:23 PM
Thanks for all the updates, I had been using the software for Neoscrypt mining but have recently switched to Monero.

Will test this out on CryptoNight soon.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sumokoin - True privacy on: November 30, 2017, 10:55:47 AM
Have been keeping an eye on this as its been performing well.

Must try out mining with my CPU and GPU's and see how the results go. Does anyone have there results from CPU mining? I have an i5-7400.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How much Ethereum were people mining in 2016? on: November 30, 2017, 10:39:17 AM
Not at all.
More like 0.7 ETH per day but with today's price, that was like a lottery each day.

Calculation breakdown:
Network hashrate (31st Dec 2017): 5739 GH
Hashrate with 6x 1060s: 120 MH
Amount of ETH generated through Mining at that time in a day: (86400/13) * 5: 33230 ETH
Reward with 6x 1060s: (120MH\5739GH) * 33230 = 0.7 ETH/day.
Hmm..Curious..I didn't know that

If only we could turn back time  Cheesy, the real question is which coin that we can mine now has the most potential growth, I don't think we'll see anything on Ethers level again but maybe a coin around 2-5usd going up to 50usd as an example.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best Low difficulty Altcoins to mine? on: November 29, 2017, 11:00:19 AM
If your looking for lower difficulty coins look at newer ones like ETP (Ethash), Sumokoin (CryptoNight) and Trezarcoin (NeoScrypt).

They are all profitable right now so it's just a case of doing your research and deciding which coin you feel has the most future potential growth otherwise you are better sticking to the more established alts like Eth/ETC/Monero.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: dodopool.com on: November 28, 2017, 03:53:52 PM
Hi! Started mine ETP. In the payments tab shows that my address is wrong ("MMPSJgbxJvGYQau5kVcnrcBbgQx69gGXkws your address is wrong, you won't get paid unless you mine to a correct address".) . How is that possible?  Maybe it's shown before the first payment? My adress is MNYQteET9qGVVs2V5MeNp559kXeXcyYfSHF - my wallet on the exchange hitbtc. Thank you!!!

Yes it shows like that before first payment, I had the same message but got my first payment today and it no longer displays. Wink
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do you switch coins? on: November 28, 2017, 02:35:43 PM
As others had said it depends on your mindset, if you want to just mine the most profitable stable coin like ETH or try mining a newer coin that could have greater returns in the long run.

I usually just keep an eye on whattomine to see current profitability but generally stick to a coin I believe has a strong future.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] ⚡ DeepOnion TOR ⚡ DeepVault ⚡ Cryptopia 🚀 Airdrop 20 of 40 🚀 New Rules on: November 27, 2017, 10:02:04 PM
TOR is a network level security, it hides your IP address, so people can not locate you while you have your wallet client connected to the network. Your transactions can still be traced on the blockchain with your wallet addresses.

The market cap reached the $6m dollars spot.
This would put us as the 154th largest coin on Coinmarket cap, only 28m off the top 100, which would mean once Onion hits a little over $3.

Good luck Deeponion peoples. You deserve it! Keep up the good work and community.

Wait until DeepSend. With that feature the transactions will not be traced on the blockchain.

TOR + DeepSend = 100% anonymous!!!

What is DeepSend, is there a link or some sites you can suggest to understand more about it?

See here for more information on Deepsend, https://deeponion.org/community/threads/deepsend-explained.2203/

79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum mining still profitable? on: November 23, 2017, 02:43:45 PM
Cant you imagine what happenes if all ETH Miners switch to Zcash or something else thats GPU Mineable? The difficulty will boom and the profit descend there too.
Well, I agree there is still time left for ETH Mining. But I would not buy new GPUMiner now...

Yes for everyone who mined Eth over the last few months things are looking better with the current price increase but it would be difficult for new miners.

A lot of the mining hardware shops are building rigs with more graphics cards e.g. 8 or 12 so a higher hash rate to try and sell them but it's getting harder to sell mining hardware.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TZC] TrezarCoin Super-Secure-PoW/PoS on: November 23, 2017, 01:27:36 PM
TrezarCoin right up there on whattomine! Didn't know about it until I saw it on that website - think it only popped up over the last day or so. Should help with giving some attention to TZC.

Does anyone have insight into why some coins take a while to come up on whattomine? As in, does the coin need to have a certain marketcap or something to be listed on the website?

I noticed this too, I think they just updated there lists on whattomine, TZC was only added this week but other coins like Metaverse ETP were on the individual coins page but didn't come up when you done a GPU search with your hashrate/power usage etc. and now do.

I think this will be good for TZC as more miners will start seeing the coin.
