Ledger said they are looking to integrate IOTA into the hardware wallet,
but still is in an early stage, so i guess it might take several months before wesee IOTA integrated into "Nano S",

I only have a trezor, so will start asking slush to support IOTA!

Otherwise will have to pick up a Nano too.

better push Ledger wallet to support it,  they have more posiblities to integrate it,

trezor looks just focused on bitcoin,

but just push both companies with your interest and they will notice the huge demand and then do it quicker so they can sell more units

if Ledger support IOTA, do you know if it will be possible to update the old NanoS to support IOTA or it will be necessary to buy a new one?

Hello everyone,

I have a question as a newbie:

I just bought some IOTA on Bitfinex and they are on my exchange wallet on Bitfinex. Is it necessary to transfer them to an IOTA Wallet? Or is it also safe to keep them on Bitfinex?

Thanks for your help.

it is preferable to transfer to a IOTA address you own the seed.

Anyone got a good and easy article about this that I should read? It sounds very interesting but I just can't seem to get into it.

I don't understand with the amazing project this is you don't bother to get in in bittrex or poloniex but instead you have it in a shit exchange, I don't really understand you guys,,,,it goes beyond my understanding, This can go above $1 if you have it in a decent exchange

what's the point of getting on every exchanges before the tech is ready and well polished? The goal isn't to be another random shitcoin.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: July 12, 2017, 08:09:19 AM
Yes IOTA is better then Bitcoin, and every other alt-coin too. Here's my top five reasons why.
These points applie to every other altcoin as well, not just Bitcoin.

1.) Bitcoin has expensive fee's.   1.) IOTA has no fee's...

2.) Bitcoin is slow 1hr per transaction.   2.) IOTA gets faster with use.

3.) Bitcoin can't scale for mainstream adoption.    3.) IOTA has unlimited scalability.

4.) Bitcoin isn't quantum proof.    4.) IOTA is quantum proof.

5.) Bitcoin has complex decimals.    5.) IOTA will always be a whole number.

So Freebutcaged your either a troll or BTC miner shill making a killing off those BTC fee's.

Good day to all. I would like to ask if there are currently bounties for this coin? I am willing to work even for small amounts of IOTA's for this one. Thank you very much. Will be waiting for any response here.

Hey dude, there is a #bounties channel on the slack, and other ways (submit a project to the invest fund, contribute to the dev, etc ...) to gain IOTAs.

looks like the generate seed option is no longer available even of full node, right?

i tryed to set up a full node, but it always says "NOT SYNC"

any idea about why? the GUI client is honestly pathetic and heavy, works very bad,
a C++ implementation looks urgent,  Java must be out of the equation for any full node, and some implementation to quick find networks rather
than beg for it at slack is something needed too,

bitcoin client got hardcoded quite some ip's already, it just starts downloading the blockchain by itself,
IOTA is adding quite some trammels for non tech users,

post the output of getNodeInfos

Are we getting more exchanges any time soon? I find it really weird Bitfinex was able to add IOTA so early ahead of everyone else.

Bitfinex was in discussion with foundation maonths before adding IOTA.
I heard an Australian exchange added IOTA yesterday

I was hoping for China and South Korea Smiley

everyone hopes Smiley feel free to ask to Chinese exchanges to add.

Someone knows what the ICO price of IOTA was? And how much are these early adopters in profit% by now ? How many tokens were sold back then?

~1300 btc raised
100% of the token sold ( ~1 280 000 000 Mi)
insane profit for early adopters.

Whats the usual timeframe from PENDING to CONFIRMED?

depends on the state of the Tangle. Usually <5mn but can go up to 30mn and more. Next software version should bring improvements on this.
nb: you can monitor this on iota.cool

hi

i dont understand what is equal at 1 miota ?..1miota = 1 btc o?

1 kIota = 1 kilo Iota = 1 000 Iota
1 MIota = 1 Mega Iota = 1 000 kIota = 1 000 000 Iota
1 GIota = 1 Giga Iota = 1 000 MIota = 1 000 000 000 Iota
1 TIota = 1 Tera Iota = 1 000 GIota = 1 000 000 000 000 Iota
1 PIota = 1 Peta Iota = 1 000 TIota = 1 000 000 000 000 000 Iota

abbreviations:
1 kIota = 1 ki
1 MIota = 1 Mi
1 GIota = 1 Gi
1 TIota = 1 Ti
1 PIota = 1Pi

There is ~2.7 Pi in circulation

the current price is  0.00017 Btc / Mi

note that the smallest unit traded on Bitfinex is not Iota but Mi which is confusing.

I'm here for the first time, even though I have heard of Iota before. Now I read on the first page that it is still possible to claim Iotas until July 2017, but how? There is no indication and the provided link leeds to nowhere.

you invested at ICO and you come back 2 years later asking what to do? Come on dude.

What is the ICO price in this coin?

not relevant

hahaha Man!

I have seem fanatics defending their altcoins in many ways but saying that the ICO price is not relevant goes beyond fanaticism  Cheesy

Of course it is relevant, for IOTA, for ETH, for LISK and for any ICO out there. Specially when we are talking about a new born as IOTA is.

so when you want to invest in Microsoft you ask to Bill Gates how much he sold the first shares of the company?

Just kidding  Cheesy

You have to generate receive-adresses, than you should see your Gi.

ok but please don't do this if a guy come saying he doesn't see 1Ti in his balance  Cheesy

Yes and no history tx

Sorry, I took it from you.

I think it would be saver in my account  Grin

I cannot understand why IOTA is still so unpopular.
Most people will regret to not having to do with it right now! Smiley

If this is your first read about IOTA in this forum, listen: go to youtube and watch an explanation about IOTA. It's more than worth it.

iota is very popular.

It is. But compared to other coins/projects it's way too unpopular. It deserves much more attention from the public.

it's only the beginning: the iota slack has grown of 3k+ people in one week since exchange launch.
