I cannot understand why IOTA is still so unpopular.
Most people will regret to not having to do with it right now! Smiley

If this is your first read about IOTA in this forum, listen: go to youtube and watch an explanation about IOTA. It's more than worth it.

iota is very popular.

So what's the consensus on IOTA, will it stay stable at 0.40$ or drop further?

there's no consensus

This guy is the main dev of IOTA. I think he has patience to answer to your aggressive and clueless questions. I don't even understand why he does.

IOTA is alreayd 4000X, tooooooooo risky to buy at current price!

Thank you for posting your second post on this forum (the first one being an obvious scam). Your contribution is appreciated.

Crypto is so full of braindead rednecks!

look at the fudders profile: almost all are newbies account. It's probably organized people with a precise objective. Maybe rewarded trolls dunno. And why they do that? dunno ...

So is it worth it to invest any time into this alt coin or not?
I have seen some threads popping up recently saying something to the lines of it being a scam.
Any degree of validity of these ques of assumption on their level of integrity?

on.every.single.thread about a coin in this shitty forum you will find retards that say the coin is a scam. Do your own research and invest/don't invest.

mh ..

You guys you know one thing?

It seems to me that this could be indeed the biggest scam in crypto currency history!

Let's think about one thing: could it be, that the whole crypto currency market was pushed the last months, only for IOTA? so that it was possible to gain a very high market cap? i don't hope this is the truth. Otherwise in the next hours days are going to be burnt billions of $$$

You should call the emergency

Incredible scam.
Not IOTA, but Bitfinex.

Disable Deposit for all, but doesn't stop Trade. And a little group of people who made deposit are trading now...

So when they enable it again, the price will drop due to an overflow of offered IOTA?

Very likely, a lot of people that wanted to dump their coins did not get the chance to do so. Hence an artificially high price atm.

on the counter side: there was a lot of trading OTC since ICO and a lot of investors wanting to dump their coin did it already. From the whales I know, none of them wants to sell before 10b$ market cap.

Where do you check market cap and such info?
Still not shown on coinmarketcap..
Where on bitfinex i can see these details?

Right now you have to manually calculate it...

current price = .00021000 X total supply 2,779,530,283 X current BTC price 2740 = $1,599,341,724

Still WAY too high!

But is it really? If you look at some of the Shitcoins which have a market cap over a billion...  Wink

What "shitcoin" do you mean with over 1 billion market cap?

"random" coin would be better.
LTC, DASH, ETC definitely enter in this category.

What happened to my wallet balance?

I had 1 Giota, donated last year. I claimed it then, claimed it again when the addresses changed and periodically checked it.
I'm sure I still had it last month or so when I last checked.

Now I opened the wallet and it's empty, no history of transactions either.
I'm sure the seed is correct

Bumping because the thread is expanding fast.

If none can help, how do I get an invitation to slack to ask tere?

you must update to the new GUI version (post-snapshot)
and when synchronized keep generating addresses until you see your balance.

lurker10, youyou_, We shall see. I don't think this is mainstream enough yet to keep anywhere near the current price.

I think (if everything goes well: no hack, no big drama, etc ...) price should stabilize below current one and then steadily regrow like ETH did. But in such a crazy market who knows  Roll Eyes
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: June 13, 2017, 02:11:22 PM
I must agree with that...
should be around 300 000 000 I think

I set my buy order at 0.00002000 ($150,000,000 market cap). Waiting with popcorn.

You might get it an order filled at 0.00006-0.00008 ($450-600,000,000) if you're lucky.

Well to this point the biggest start to a coin ever was GNO at 100,000,000 so 50% higher than that is respectable and reasonable to me Smiley

I don't think you can think in these terms.

you have 1.829 Gi

obv price will swing a lot in the first days of trading, but I wouldn't be as optimistic as you are for such a low price.
