Haha you're an embarrassment to all thinking creatures.
Oh from someone explicate himselve with intellectual attitudes itīs somehow weak what you are saying. Especially when you said that your maxims are rationality and objectivism? Am I an embarrassment to all thinking creatures or do you have enormous deficits to emphasize with other human beings? You sound like you are angry, maybe you can feel just a little bit like me now. I have a tip for you: Try to think from other peoples positions and travel the world and then you might understand sometime that being rude or what you say is "straightforward" isnīt a good constructive attitude at all. i'm really sorry for you, you're just ridiculous

Everyone knows communication isn't the main skill of the team. Now please stop whinning everywhere (this will not change anything to your loss) and move on. NUTSHELL!!! I take issue with this nonsense, we are as blunt as physically possible to make sure there is no ambiguity or mix up of roles precisely to avoid situations such as these. In France, be blunt != be rude, but i don't know what is the usage in other countries

Afterwards the real dev with the same nick was making fun of me, I donīt think that is professional:
I interpret that phrase as "you can do nothing except blaming yourself", not as a joke. Thoughts chain is pretty short: 1. You didn't use an escrow 2. You lost the bitcoins 3. The bitcoins can't be returned 4. You have no an option except blaming yourself (because Bitcoin devs will never make a fork) People with high IQ tend to verbalize only the final stage assuming that the previous steps are obvious. Jokes work in a similar manner, they require a listener to construct intermediary steps in the mind, one of the steps triggers the reaction in brain. BTW, this is why quite often we see people who don't get a joke, low IQ doesn't allow to construct thoughts chain that make other people laugh. So, I think "the real dev" wasn't making fun of you. Hey smartass. 1. I didnīt use escrow because I thought I am dealing directly with the dev, who are normaly the guys doing escrow for trades, just check the log I sent, there you will find more information. In Slack it is possible to use anybody nickname and pictures, even in the same channel. It was my fault not being more suspicious, but slack is definiatly not adequate doing trades for non-geeks. Btw. I read following page, where is nowhere warned of scammer on slack: https://forum.iotatoken.com/t/first-steps-in-order-to-buy-iota-and-how-you-set-up-your-wallet/7722. Yes correct 3. Correct 4. Correct, thats why his "joke" is so disgusting. And what you are telling is not true, at least where I am living, in my real-life nobody makes jokes about someone losing more than 5.000 usd instantly afterwards. You donīt amuse yourself at the expense of sb. else, this has to do with good behaving and has nothing to do with the IQ. If you are sociopath or autistic you might find it funny because you are not able to empathize with someone else. Everyone knows communication isn't the main skill of the team. Now please stop whinning everywhere (this will not change anything to your loss) and move on.

in crypto, people should be aware of using PGP encryption, this is the basis when there is a doubt about someone's identity.

|
|
shouldn't the fundation be involved in this kind of stuff?

As a developer I tend to stay out of this type of discussions, but I would encourage everyone that trust our vision and execution to donate to BigDeal, it will open big doors that will bring a lot of new devs and investors to the Iota ecosystem. If you trust our vision it should be an easy choice.
Guys - this is serious! It is not some crap, like twitter marketing or giveaways, or so on. It's stake for real businesses.
Donate http://bigdeal.iotatoken.com/
It really make sense cut 10% of your stake, so that the USD/BTC value of remaining will go much higher! NOW 53% !!!
26.3502 Ti // 50 Ti
+msin 5Ti
+50cent_rapper 3Ti
+luey 5Ti(when dontion reaches 40Ti)
+ 5 Ti (Now we all know, that David said that if we, as community, hit 45 Ti in donations to bigdeal, then he will add 5 Ti from Foundation funds.) Sum of this is 44Ti and We need just F''''''''ing 6Ti to reach the BIG DEAL and we all become millionaires in terms of USD (you know that!). COME ON COMMUNITY! WE CAN DO IT EASY!!!You should ask James to contribute, he is a big stakeholder.

Will mine contribute to the Big Deal as well. Only 10% of the total funds needed are completed so far. Still a long way to go. What are the ways to contribute to the big deal? How much will I get if turn a 290x to mine IOTA?I don't understand the bold part

Would it be possible to get a "Donate to the Big Deal" button coded into a new version of the GUI? I think this would help raise awareness and motivate people to donate.
love this

I want to give 400 GIOTA but could not access to my IOTA last time I have tried, so I will try again this evening.
If I understand the IOTA will be sold for bitcoin in order to complete the big deal, so I guess the BTC gathered will be used for the fundation right?
yes, but even if iotas are sold and not given to big players, it's certainly not at current prices: the deal has been initiated when the price was of the order of ICO price.

David is seeking now for BigDeal donations. But the process is going slow. I see a problem this way - during Foundation funding someone donate 0 and someone donate 10% or more. Now with this next move we've been asked to go below 10% in our stakes, which is kind of psychologically tough - even though overall valuation of our stakes will go higher. So this is my view of the problem. If someone has something to say, you are welcome A proposition from the community is in preparation. Stay tunned.

I will too, but I might need help solidifying my tangle like last time I donated, it took a while to find node IPs!
Okay, so we have 2 Ti here! Who else is stepping up to donate??? already did

When you would make with a altcoin for example from 1 Bitcoin 100 Bitcoins, what would you do then?
This would be right now about 65.000 Dollar.
1. Would you cash out everything?
2. Would you invest in 5 new icos with each 20 Bitcoins and hold long term (12 - 24 month) and hoping that some of that 5 icos will double your 20 Bitcoins again 10x or more times? = 500 or more Bitcoins
3. Would you invest in altcoins?
cashing them out is the best choice I think. I mean why should I keep all profit I got without enjoy some of them. then we can divide them into two parts: for your daily needs or buy a house, and the other is for business like trading, investment, etc. I agree cashing it out is good choice, but cashout it only half and and For me the half of 100 btc is very large amount and its enough to start my own bussines and buy house for just half of it, is much better if the other half have there own way to increase more and have profit online using it. in what country do you start a business AND buy a house for 50 btc?
