641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin retirement benefits on: May 24, 2023, 03:32:02 PM

Talking about real estate and gold, I think the era for real estate and gold is gradually fading away; the price and value of those investments are not actually turning into anything tangible these days.

fade away?  Gold remains the most sought after asset by countries during this crisis, while real estate is the favorite asset of the rich, and they consider it a better investment than gold. as for bitcoin, we invest in it because we don't have too much money to invest in the other two assets. We take risks to make a lot of money and get rich quickly to catch up with other rich people. i also prefer investing in bitcoin to these 2 assets, but I don't want to badmouth them as they are the 2 assets that are still rated as the best, so far.
642  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: May 24, 2023, 03:11:30 PM
It is not easy because there are too many barriers if we go abroad to work and live, but if given the opportunity, I will still choose to leave.  because that's the only way we have a chance to change our lives and the futures of our children for the better. leaving the homeland and leaving loved ones is something no one wants, but because of life, we have no other choice. i will still choose to settle abroad if given the choice and opportunity, but in the future, if my finances are stable, I will also return to my hometown.
Sure as eggs is eggs, migrating's like taking a roller coaster ride – it's got its ups and downs. On one hand, you're looking at a nice bump in the old paycheck and a chance to up the ante in the living standards department. However, let's not forget the speed bumps on this road to paradise. New digs, fancy foreign customs, and a sizeable case of homesickness... it's like going off the high dive for the first time. Sure, the water's just dandy, but that initial cannonball is like a bucket of ice water to the face!

Now, when it comes to future plans, if you hold true to the notion that "home is where the heart is," well then, my friend, zipping back to your roots once you've filled your piggy bank sounds peachy keen! But here's the kicker, as absurd as it sounds, you'll be like a tourist on a sightseeing tour of your own backyard!

Just as success takes many sacrifices and trade-offs, there is no such thing as success without trade-offs.  migrating abroad will certainly be an extremely arduous journey, but in return, we will have a better future, and our children will live more fully, so it is worth the effort and trade-off.
in the beginning, everything is always difficult, but if we can accept and adapt quickly, nothing can make it difficult for us.  the most important is still ourselves, the ability to endure as well as the ability to adapt to everything.
643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 24, 2023, 01:20:38 PM
Juventus got it like a penalty from their participation in Super League project which is warned and prohibited by UEFA and FIFA. I really believe about that as this season is so weird with Juventus. FIGC made some decisions which are abnormal and destroyed their reputation too. FIGC can simplify things by only punish Juventus after their investigation ends rather than fluctuating with not solid conclusion like this.
Only two match days remain and Juventus no longer have enough time to climb up to top four again. They can hope to have a position that is enough to join Europa League only.
The president of FIGC as been promoted as Vice President of UEFA, I wonder why.
But it is not over yet, Juventus will be punished again next month.
They are creating new "laws" just to punishem them.

This is just corruption at its finest ! ! they're just trying to make Juventus face relegation at this point! Probably that is the only target.  I don't know if Juventus is actually going to face any more points deductions this season? i think they are going to target the next season of Juventus with those rules.  i also know that we are going to see some absurd laws being created just to punish Juventus as you said.

645  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wrong Predictions as price keep failing! on: May 23, 2023, 11:10:30 PM
Nobody bitcoin price prediction has work this season, I told my friends early January that this year will still be difficult for bitcoin to rise since they're still blocks on digestive and ingestive policies of government, why bitcoin should not stay by government. But they argued me to a fault but I knew bitcoin will not gets to $40k this year. The price will definitely rise but not at the moment. Do you predict the price to any level year?

Just like you, I am also quite pessimistic that the price of Bitcoin will increase significantly this year. There are several factors that in my opinion will hold Bitcoin back, firstly the economic conditions that are still unstable, investor confidence in the crypto market, and the halving that hasn't happened yet. I think the highest Bitcoin will reach $ 35K USD this year with a support point at $ 26K USD. We are still in a sideway period and this will continue for the next few months.

Expectations of bitcoin's price increase this year are making it as difficult for bitcoin as it is for us.  if we still believe in history, believe in 4-year cycles, then this year is too early to think of a bull season.  second, as you also mentioned: the market is also a part of the world economy, and it depends on the movement of the economy, so bitcoin will never have a movement against the economy. I think 35k-40k is a good price at the end of the year to prepare for the halving.
646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wife discovers husband's hidden Bitcoin during divorce proceeding on: May 23, 2023, 10:53:26 PM
This incident is really interesting to me and in reality if there was such a rule in my country and if the husband would have known this news just before the divorce, he would have withdrawn all his bank balance and converted it to Bitcoin.  Because giving away half of one's hard-earned wealth is a very bad thing for anyone.

After spending 27 years together, Bill Gates and Melinda separated from each other in 2021. They got divorced. And in that divorce Bill Gates gave half of his net worth to his wife. I think Bill Gates would have refused to give his wife half of his net worth if he were anyone else.

You can't do it even before the divorce, the court will never accept it, and even you will be fined if there is such greed.  when not officially divorced, all assets will be considered common property, and we are responsible for dividing them equally when deciding to get married.
In the case of Bill Gates and Melinda, I don't think they would hesitate to divide their assets between their spouses.  they are very rich and have lived together near the end of their lives, they will not be so greedy or selfish with their spouse because, in the future, that money will also belong to their children no matter who holds it.
647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin retirement benefits on: May 23, 2023, 10:43:04 PM

I hope you know that investment risk can only be managed and reduced, but it can't be completely eradicated no matter which form of investment it is, so the same thing is applicable to Bitcoin. No matter how long it stays, it will only gain more popularity and approval from those criticizing it, and some Bitcoin racists will turn their backs on it and become Bitcoiners, but that will not change its volatile nature, which puts your investment at high risk, especially when you buy at a higher price.

once invested, there is always risk, whether it is gold or real estate, two types of assets are considered the safest ever due to their popularity.  but if you compare bitcoin with these asset classes, it is clear that bitcoin is much riskier because it is not yet widely available and has not been recognized by the majority of the world. Those who participate and accept bitcoin represent only 2% of the world population, showing that bitcoin is actually much more risky.
648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching children Bitcoin is not in vain on: May 22, 2023, 11:02:23 PM
Bitcoin is digital currency that is being widespread almost all the continent, and some people notice the development of Bitcoin very late, and it enables some people not to invest in Bitcoin in far back 2009 and 2010. Therefore i noticed that teaching children of Bitcoin in early stage and mostly children that is up to ten years and above, inculcating the functions and the importance of Bitcoin in children will make them to develop widely with the knowledge being inculcates with them already. I think that Bitcoin is good to be known from youthful age. I have noticed that assuming so many of us notice the important of Bitcoin in time we would have all be a partial millionaire if I'm not mistaken of being a full millionaire.

Economic crises in countries are already leading societies to have information in the field of financial literacy. It has become a necessity. Many people who are dissatisfied with their income are trying to learn to improve themselves. We can teach kids about bitcoin and many economics. At least they grow up to be economically prone individuals. They then become familiar with the situation when they encounter something in this type of economy.

If you want your children to grow up to be economically prone individuals, we should focus on teaching them about finance, not just bitcoin. Because bitcoin is not the only asset that can get rich, and the future of bitcoin is still uncertain.  in my opinion, teaching them about finance, economics, and then bitcoin would be more complete and complete than just focusing on bitcoin or cryptocurrencies.  it would be a big mistake to teach them only bitcoin and not finance.
649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you give one reason why I should buy bitcoin? on: May 22, 2023, 10:54:57 PM
A friend of mine once told me that I can become very by investing in bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
According to him,he said some crypto analyst and experts have long predicted that bitcoin has the largest transfer of wealth and affluent
The world has ever seen and that most of them that are investing in it will be the ones to be rewarded.
I'm certainly not convinced about this information that he gave to me...I want better ideas and  enlightenment on why I should buy bitcoin.I need help please!

People invest in bitcoin to make a profit, make money, and protect their privacy, if you also have those needs, then that's why you should invest in bitcoin.  if you lack knowledge about bitcoin and are not confident enough to invest in it, do your own research and find out everything, you don't need someone to convince you to invest. it's like you can't ask someone to find a high paying job for you when you're lazy. Moreover, giving investment advice to someone is a bad idea because if your investment loses, you will blame them, I would never do that.

Breaking News!

Juventus again received a 10 point deduction penalty and at the same time buried their hopes of being able to appear in the champions league next season. This point deduction took place before Juventus had a match against Empoli and with those 10 points deducted, they will drop to 7th place in the standings with a total of 59 points, right below Roma.

This is a crushing blow for the Juventus players especially as they will soon secure a place in the champions league and it seems that this is not in line with what the punishment they received at the end of this season. I hope they will keep their heads high and continue to be excited for Serie A next season.

Source: https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/breaking-juventus-10-point-penalty-30047845

This is of course some real corruption.  I bet the judge has been paid to make a decision like this.  and why do they have to take away 10 points from Juventus? ? they could just find money and punish them that way. This is some bullshit going on ! !

I really do not think the players will actually want to stay in Juventus after what has happened this season. what is the point of staying in a team which is not going to play in the Champions League even after finishing in the second position?  But probably that's what those people who made this decision actually want.
651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend's investment in Bitcoin on: May 21, 2023, 11:27:40 PM
That is a good decision you're friend take, because life is about information and update not to left behind, because Bitcoin is a digital assets that we soon stone the world and government are afraid of Bitcoin, because it has all it takes to serve the world, assume I get opportunity or information 2009 or early stage, I for invest Bitcoin as well, which Bitcoin has raised billionaire in the cryptocurrency industries.

Would you definitely invest in bitcoin if you knew it in 2009?  many people have also claimed like you, but I doubt and do not believe it.  we often have the bad habit of regretting something when we know about its future and have missed it in the past. but if we have the opportunity to go back to the past and not remember what is in the present, we will also miss it again. If you say you will buy a lot of bitcoin in 2009, why don't you buy now and wait for the future? You don't have to go back to the past to buy bitcoin because it's even easier now than in 2009.
652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin or cryptocurrency offer loan service? on: May 21, 2023, 11:14:00 PM
I have understood what centralized and decentralized systems are and I know that banks are centralized with physical locations/attributes, with strict monetary policies governing it. While decentralized system is the crypto currency or the Blockchain technology which is the where Bitcoin is built on.

Both have helped to solve human financial problems in one way or the other, depending on the means which one earns from.
Ignoring all other features I could talk about and with my focus on loans schemes, I want to ask if as banks offer loans to individuals, companies even to the government, does Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies or exchange offer loan service?
If yes, what is some criteria that may be required?

basically, bitcoin is just an asset like gold or fiat, it cannot and does not provide a lending service on its own.  all loan services require human intervention. When there are many people in need, organizations, companies, and banks will create services and provide them to everyone, they can use fiat, gold, and bitcoin as a means of payment and lending...Currently, there are several centralized exchanges that offer bitcoin loans by collateralizing other assets, but I do not recommend borrowing bitcoin as its volatility can get you into trouble.
653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investment, fulltime endeavor or side hustle? on: May 21, 2023, 10:49:51 PM
No matter how profitable bitcoin is, once it is unstable, it is never considered a full time job.  furthermore, bitcoin investing and trading both carry the same risks as gambling, so I rarely see anyone devote themselves to it full time, and most of them consider it a side job.  it would be best if you didn't quit your outside job to spend all your time on it.  Firstly, it is unstable, and your life will be difficult if you don't make money from it.  Second, your life will come to a standstill if, in the future, it collapses.  never depend on just one thing, life always needs variety.
654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 21, 2023, 04:20:42 PM
Increasing rumors about Allegri being sacked at the end of the season.
The possible new coach can be one between, Spalletti, Conte, Palladino.
Allegri should be fired, no one expects him to stay in Juventus.
Allegri must be aware that he must leave because he already failed many times in Juventus.
Whatever the reason, I assume Juventus management will kick him out.
Spalletti or Conte seems a good option. But I expect Conte to be hired since he has a good relationship and ever made a great history with Juventus previously.

This is just a rumor because I have heard that he is going to stay as the manager of Juventus next season as well! Sacking him is not going to be the best decision by Juventus.  after all, Juventus had shown a very good performance this season.  so, he should be given more time because who knows he will be able to achieve better results with this team! ! Juventus should not take any decisions in a hurry
655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Budget For Halving on: May 20, 2023, 11:32:40 PM

^Definitely right, you can loan money for investment but not on crypto, especially in BTC.

Not only with cryptocurrencies, I think it is not advisable to borrow money to invest in any field, because once invested, besides profits, there will always be risks involved.  no investment is guaranteed to return without risk, so borrowing money to invest is always a bad idea.  also, as you said, the cryptocurrency market is considered the riskiest market because its volatility as well as its future remains uncertain.
i strongly advise the op to consider your plans carefully, otherwise, you will hit a dead end when things don't go as you dreamed.
656  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you spend more-do you get more? on: May 20, 2023, 11:23:15 PM
There is an opinion that the more money you spend, the more you get in return, it is interesting to find out who really works in this direction. I spend enough money, but I have a fixed income, therefore I will not be able to get more. I don't have rich relatives, and I don't expect an inheritance either. I want to get rich, not to deny myself, but I have to save on everything. Who really faced big expenses and received even more? How does it work, maybe I don't understand the essence of it correctly?

This depends on what you spend on, what areas.  if it is said to spend money for daily living needs, this is completely wrong, when you spend money, it means that your assets are decreasing, how can you say that you will receive more?  but if we talk about investment then this may be true. when you spend a large amount of money to invest, you will have the opportunity to get big profits.  but investing is risky, not only money spent will be profitable, profit or loss depends on your ability, knowledge, and experience.
657  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people stay poor? on: May 20, 2023, 11:08:56 PM
I have always wanted to ask this question is it that there is no opportunity or they do not want to get rich
Mate please more to this I am confused here.
A man is poor only when he spends beyond his income. When a person spends more than his income then he will suffer and later on he will take loans to run his life and at some point he will not be able to pay off the loan and he will become totally helpless. His mind will not settle for work. If a man continues like this, he will become poor. When a person can avoid these problems then that person will not be poor. He will live a good life.
Well I see this as an act of carelessness and irresponsible behavior. Not being contented is a big problem in the society and this has led to the atrocities in our society today.

Spending more than your income has put so many people in a very big mess as they hover about taking loans and  are chronic debtors.

This happens as a  result of poor planning and budgeting. Lack of self discipline and self control are the night mares of this sets of people and when it is time for loan repayment, they are under pressure and   go about taking loan from another source to pay the other.  I have witnessed this situation before so I know what I am saying. It is very embarrassing to be caught with someone owing heavily.

I have a cousin who is also in the same situation and this can be said to be completely their fault.  they have almost no plans or responsibilities for their lives.  they only know how to spend money when they have money in hand, whether they make it themselves or borrow it.  Currently with that loose lifestyle, both he and his wife are heavily in debt and are almost shunned by relatives because of their bad lifestyle. no one wants to continue lending them money, and they are living worse lives than ever.
658  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we headed to a nowhere economic direction ? on: May 20, 2023, 10:58:53 PM
It's difficult to predict the future of the economy with certainty. Economic situation is very challenging to all countries, its possible that the economy could recover and grown in the future. But for now most of the countries feels the economic decline due to inflation. Most of the goods and services are getting more expensive and a lot of workers had been laid off because of the cost cutting scheme of the companies to survive from the inflation that results to recession. The best way to recover everyone government, business and individuals to take steps to promote economic growth and stability, such as investing in infrastructure, creating jobs and promoting innovation.

and that means, we should not waste time thinking about this matter as it won't do any good in our personal lives. so better look for alternative jobs or additional jobs that can possibly help us in our financial needs.
we can't trust the government to help us in surviving the crisis. we should take care of ourselves and find a way how to keep up with the rising cost of living.

this is not the first time the economy has suffered from inflation, inflation is a part of the economy and it has a cycle.  therefore, economic recovery is certain but inflation will soon return in the future.  i agree with you, we shouldn't waste time researching and coming up with solutions because it's the government's duty, we alone won't do anything or come up with any good idea. Instead, finding a way to save ourselves from inflation is what we should do above all.
659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do with bitcoin? on: May 19, 2023, 11:54:12 PM

I'd definitely sell some when it looks like the price might have reached the cycle's peak. I'll be aiming to sell around half of my stash (depending on where the price will be) to help me finance some purchases to improve my own and my family's life. For the remaining part, I'll probably sell also around half of that (so ~25%) and try to buy back when bull run ends. But, as historically I wasn't doing that great in predicting market trends, I'd like to just hold the remaining 25% (i.e. in case I make a bad call and bull run keeps going). I don't intend to ever sell 100% of my bitcoins and would like to pass at least some to my children at some point.

Well, selling is the most intelligent thing to do when the market reaches the peak of the cycle.  then wait for some time and reinvest if we feel that Bitcoin had already reached the bottom.  If we are wrong in our assumption then we can always cost average until we are satisfied on the average cost of our investment.  This way we can easily grow our Bitcoin portfolio over the course of time.  Just repeat the said strategy every cycle and we will find ourselves holding way more Bitcoins that our initial investment.

That said, I am also selling part of my holdings if I feel that Bitcoin had reached its peak and rebuy when the price become cheaper.

There is no such thing as being too intelligent or too hard to do that.  i mean, most investors will do this because everyone's goal is the same, it's profit, I mean, it's very easy, a strategy that almost everyone knows. i wonder, but why is there always a loser in this game, and is the market always so easy to predict? buy when the bear season comes and sell bitcoin when the bull season comes? the market has done it over and over again 3 times, and I think there may be changes soon that makes it more unpredictable.
660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing doesn't guarantee you to be rich on: May 19, 2023, 11:37:44 PM
Investment may not guarantee someone's to success, and it's might guarantee someone's to success, because if person follow the rules of investment, then success is guaranteed. If an investor invests and holds their coin until a bull market, they will definitely be making profits out of their investment. And I'm very sure person can become rich in the future and do it consistently, and not an unprofitable investment or make you not rich, because it all depends on your knowledge and planning over a thing you're doing or trying to do.

i didn't see you mention any risk in investing, and as the op said, investing has no guarantee that you will succeed or will always get a return.  everything is risky and the risk is higher when we talk about cryptocurrencies. Not every coin will bring you profit, not every coin will increase in price when the bull season comes.
One more thing, history has proven long-term holding is profitable, but we can't guarantee that will happen in the future.  So never say for sure or confirm anything in this market.

No guarantee unless you are holding either Bitcoin or ETH as history always repeating itself, just buy and hold and set your target
then forget about your investment for a while.

If things favor your side in a much quicker time frame, then it will be good, but if you need to wait for a longer time, then it's okay as you trust the
asset that you are holding.

Only time can tell whether the market will bounce high and give you decent benefits, not a guarantee as what OP said but
chances to earn a good amount is also possible to happen.

I still want to re-emphasize OP's point, there is no guarantee that investing will make you rich.  what do you have to prove and confirm that history will always repeat itself? it is often said that the future is unpredictable, if you can be sure, does that mean you already know the future? to me, if everything were so predictable and easy to make money, we all would be rich, everyone would borrow money and sell all assets to invest in bitcoin because, as you said, history always repeats itself.
