then delete peers.dat file (it will create again)

There are two hard forks coming up

Block 1,200,000 and 1,300,000

We were told by the devs that the BitTorrent integration was done Feb 2016. They then spent most of the year fixing an issue with BitTorrent which is that people can install spoofing software that fakes your seeding ratio. If you are being paid for bandwidth by people wanting to access rare content, you can't have that as an issue.

We're guessing they have fixed that and are preparing to launch BitTorrent functionality during one of the next two forks. But we are not 100% sure.

What we do know is that the next two forks will also increase the encryption options. Likely to mean Tor and i2p support, in addition to RingSigs (stealth addresses) which are already available.

Hopefully, a market will also get added later next year so classifieds of private trackers can be posted and rated.

The volume problem.

There many people circling vTorrent at the moment, so I'm being told.

There are some whales that are standing back waiting for the volume to go way up, so they can trade decent amounts. Spending 1 btc on a bunch of coins and pushing up the price is not their idea of trading.  Spending 30-50 btc in a fast moving, high volume market is more like what they want to see and the levels they want to spend.

To get the volume going, vTorrent needs BitTorrent working or a sneak peak video of the BitTorrent features, IMO.

It's a Proof of Stake coin not a Proof of Work coin. You can "mine" VTR when using the staking function in the wallet - but you'll need purchase VTR from an exchange and have them in your wallet to do so.

Having said that there are pools that mine on different coins and then convert into your desired coin - but i have not seen one that supports VTR.
