Anyone have a bootstrap for VTR? We were trying to update to the latest version but it looks like it requires an entire blockchain resync ;(
Thanks richie@bittrex
Hi Richie, I posted one recently which was at about block 1,000,000--you can find it by searching through my posts under my username. Should only take a bit after that; if it doesn't work for some reason let me know and I'll pop out a fresh one when I have a moment.

Should only take a bit after that; if it doesn't work for some reason let me know and I'll pop out a fresh one when I have a moment. Thanks but i think we got it sorted out. Is there still an active dev on the project? The bug for validateaddress still exists which is why the faucet and bittrex are having problems. Basically it comes down to this, before coins are sent anywhere, people usually do a "validateaddress" on an address. You check for "isvalid: true" and make sure that the "address" that comes back out is the same one you passed in. For VTR, this returns, thus anytime you try and validate an address before sending coins, it fails. If the dev would fix this, we could address the problem with withdrawals to stealth addresses. vtrcoin validateaddress xr15yLa9wNadfgvWskNMTLhQSZZhixUaUrBHRQEFaxLRLP864rcqEf5P1QR9WNBksajN1QZCDu5Lc7P c8vTuUW8u5PzahvcvP52S8H { "isvalid" : true, "ismine" : true, "address" : "XZww38dEzKrxkWoyNVsYn4UG8epA8x1vsa" } You can always withdraw to a non stealth address as a temporary workaround. Thanks, Richie PS. do not try to send to the non stealth address of your bittrex stealth address. It wont work.

What about that Rakash guy who pops in every 2-3 weeks?

What about that Rakash guy who pops in every 2-3 weeks? If we need more trolls, I'll look into purchasing a couple of Hero or Legendary accounts and we can use them as sockpuppets. Maybe we can arrange some kind of troll account sharing so we get regular troll posts.

What kind of shitcoin and scams would need to develop and release feature such as 2FA? Which dev obviously know that it would not exactly pump up the price but only to make sure of its users security. IMO what is shitcoin and scams? just search the forum for something with plenty of pre-mine with no true development such as this one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1608804.0500 million premine with no real development, now that's more like it. learn your shit before come back talking trash again.

It seems mishax1 is just playing devils advocate. Also there are some people who honestly want something to succeed, and just because of that all the time tell everybody 'it cannot succeed', hoping to be proved incorrect. I believe he is one of those people

Personally I don't mind a bit of trolling, it keeps our thread on the first page in the altcoin section

So sad...if only dev team was more present with community now VTR will be over 1 Million market cap at least. But probably dev is doing this for buying cheap before than torrent implementation will be released...

The sole purpose of this coin is to offer torrent implementation, and before it is done, there is no sense to think about the price at all, as well as to inform community on progress (anyway he doesn't ask community for help, so looks like he does not need it for now). This is the least hyped coin I ever have seen. That's one of the reasons why I trust this Dev.

Agreed, this is the most under hyped coin in the crypto sphere, even though no torrents were released during the last update, the dev did pull off 2FA amongst other things, no easy task from what I hear. The last update did finally prove that he is serious about this project. Also, I've been hearing talk of a pump on certain slack channels, don't know if it's true, but this coin is extremely undervalued right now, it does deserve a price correction, time will tell.
