Hello everyone,

With the advent of the passthroughs, I am dropping support for this orderbook and focusing on passthrough trading.  However, zefir has generously offered to take over orderbook maintenance. Smiley

Thank you zefir!

Folks, inau,

thanks for your confidence. I'll try to keep the list updated at least once a day.

I see some private auctions popping up in this sub-forum and am wondering what they don't like with this orderbook approach. If there is something needed to make you happy using it (other than you don't like the directions posted in the OP), feel free to post or PM me.

Hey inau, are you going to continue updating this list, or is it obsolete now that we have PTs available?

This should be the latest state:

No discussion, but a proposal: to not flood friedcat with transactions of single shares, I suggest limiting trades to a minimum block size (e.g. 25, 50 or 100).

bid 2000 @ 0.35
ask 1000 @ 0.70

Cross post

+1 for John and Graet

John and Graet escrowed my ASICMINER auction with a total of 2380BTC, which denominated in fiat at today's rate might be the largest volume escrowed so far in Bitcoin world.

Everything went smooth and fast. Great service. Can absolutely recommend both. Thanks.

551  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER: board seat (equivalent of 5000 shares) for sale on: February 26, 2013, 08:39:34 AM
Status: Completed

Thanks John and Graet for your great support and the smooth processing. Some coins are on their way to you as partial compensation for your hard work.

This was my first auction in this sub-forum and as such I made some mistakes that caused confusion, which I need to say sorry for. At least I learned why established auction platforms deserve the fees they are charging Wink

Best of luck to the buyers and (new) shareholders. With the recent news dripping in from BFL, it seems ASICMINER will be able to keep a solid portion of the network hashrate for some more weeks and allow for a quicker ROI.

With my closing words I'd like to ask everyone involved for a favor. So far I did not care too much about the WoT ratings people are referring to at bitcoin-otc, since one needs time to spent to take the technical hurdles in order to participate. OTOH, there is currently no mechanism available in this forum to indicate how trustworthy a member is. Therefore, if you are familiar with the WoT processing, it would be nice if you could rate me there.

Thanks and Good Luck
552  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER: board seat (equivalent of 5000 shares) for sale on: February 25, 2013, 06:48:10 PM
I think this means that you really mind after all. I mean "get banned from eBay", "get your account on this forum tagged" and so on. If you so worry about it you may look at this or tell me what you really need to have no bad feelings (not just for polite post with hidden sense).
Hey, let's leave it at this, no need to get personal.

I pointed you to the ToS of eBay as a reference for the rules in this sub-forum to show you where you were wrong. It was meant as a friendly hint to you and free coaching on your personal journey towards becoming a reputable community member. Your choice whether you take it as what it was meant to be, or start interpreting something into that is not there.

All the best.
553  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER: board seat (equivalent of 5000 shares) for sale on: February 25, 2013, 05:23:27 PM
The transferring has been processed. To make the database more complete, the owners of following addresses could PM me with your e-mail address.

*)   100 to address 1AXKZp4KU4tA4yPoFtHQPHoUi2DmWgHdEd
*)   200 to address 1ZKrazKLvfxNCYqk4BbboxiPonB9U3Pwh
*)   100 to address 1Bgu2w4vBTXDDkpWkjAeomVnRRYASnCaJV
Great! Zefir and asnonmous, would you consider this transaction to be done?

Zefir, please provide to me the address where I should release the funds when the transaction is complete.

My address for this deal is in the contract: 16CV4ktaWSp9TjEt2Wf4MMDhYbYi4TKXGc

As for friedcat's confirmation: I included asnonmous' email address in my transfer request, since he becomes a board member and is added to the related mailing list. That's why friedcat is asking only the other three buyers to provide an email address, nevertheless all 4 transactions are confirmed.

I'm also fine to wait for all buyers to get their personal confirmation before the funds are released.
554  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER: board seat (equivalent of 5000 shares) for sale on: February 25, 2013, 05:15:26 PM
Also note that I've contacted with you to warn about that I will not pay. (I've not just disappeared at last moment...)

I confirm this, I have been contacted via PM and informed that the payment can't be processed in time.

The reason I did not mention this is to not escalate the issue and quickly forget about it. Thing is, no matter whether you notified me or not: the bids you posted are binding, it is irrelevant why you did not finalize your part of the deal.

I don't really mind, since I am not loosing anything by keeping those shares. But since you are active on other auctions, do yourself a favor and bid only for what you can afford to pay. You get banned from eBay doing this once and you might get your account on this forum tagged if you end up with someone who is not equally lenient.
555  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER: board seat (equivalent of 5000 shares) for sale on: February 25, 2013, 08:43:17 AM
Status Update

The payment window is closed now. All but Vezunchik did paid their funds to their escrow addresses, I sent friedcat a transfer request as follows:
Code:
*) 5'000 to address 12mwAvJywtQF5rJXHzdBQd4yq8EVD7NZqX
*)   100 to address 1AXKZp4KU4tA4yPoFtHQPHoUi2DmWgHdEd
*)   200 to address 1ZKrazKLvfxNCYqk4BbboxiPonB9U3Pwh
*)   100 to address 1Bgu2w4vBTXDDkpWkjAeomVnRRYASnCaJV

He will either confirm the transfers here or I'll post his PGP signed confirmation when I have it available.
556  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario on: February 23, 2013, 09:01:17 AM
As a followup to this I have been contacted by Nefario's email address with some addresses to send the coins I'm holding to.

However, before I randomly send coins off to these addresses, I'd like to establish that they aren't addresses controlled by Nefario.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how that might be accomplished?

I'm thinking if I post the addresses and the holders are forum members we are reasonably confident aren't Nefario, they could somehow demonstrate they do in fact control the address, and then I could send the coins on. I have no idea how that demonstration could be accomplished. I'm a bookkeeper, not a developer.

Thanks for any input.

If this list is about refunding everyone 100%, first thing I'd consider is checking the list in the OP of GLBSE Payment Claims thread to identify those addresses that are still waiting for their remaining 10%.

Yet, the sum of the missing 10% from that list is tiny, compared to still pending refunds (e.g. friedcat alone is still waiting for ~1.7k BTC from GLBSE).

Your best take to verify the remaining addresses would be to post the list here and let forum members confirm via PM which they control. If those who believe their address is missing on the list also PMd you, this will give you already a quite reliable indication of how legit the list is. The only issue hard to resolve are those addresses from people not frequenting the forum or completely left Bitcoin scene. Most former GLBSE asset issuers donate the remaining funds after some wait period.

I did all this recently to repay my former investors and resolve the mess GLBSE left behind. It is a PITA lot of work and I feel sorry for you now being responsible for cleaning up mess you did not cause (alone). Good Luck.
557  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER: board seat (equivalent of 5000 shares) for sale on: February 22, 2013, 08:54:08 AM
I remember that last time nanotube held escrow for Vandroiy and Pirate's bet for 10,000BTC, so there's larger OTC trades AFAIK.
[...]

What an irony: the largest escrow in Bitcoin history is connected to the largest fraud in its history  Sad

Time to change that: there are currently houses on offer in this subforum that scratch that magic 10k barrier.
558  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER: board seat (equivalent of 5000 shares) for sale on: February 22, 2013, 08:49:23 AM
I will be certain to tip nicely for your time and risk- What address would you like the tip to go to?  Thank you so much for doing this.

I stated that I will pay escrow fees, and that's what I am going to do. Of course you are free to add something on top of that Wink

Since John and Graet work on tip basis, I find it hard to estimate what a fair amount would be. I came up with something that I would escrow for:
  • 0.5% of the escrowed sum to cover risks
  • plus 0.5BTC fixed per transaction to cover time spent

Not sure how reasonable this is (my only own escrow I did so far was for free), but as soon as the deal is done, I'll pay 12BTC to John and 5BTC to Graet. Feel free to add whatever you think is fair on top of it.
559  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER: board seat (equivalent of 5000 shares) for sale on: February 21, 2013, 09:18:08 PM
friedcat posted today's update in the ASICMINER thread.

Beside ramping up of hashpower going as planned, the relevant information for this auction is that dividend payments will start next Thursday (Feb. 28.). Trades registered to him before that day will be fully accounted for the dividend payment, i.e. (thanks to the perfect timing of this auction Wink) buyers will receive their earnings to the address given in the contract.
