1061  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The last Batch of AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner, Now $1700 per unit on: July 08, 2014, 11:07:26 AM
I have several S2's however anytime I have a power outage, or I need to move one I have to reset them up.

Any Ideas about what I am missing?

Jerry

Replace the crappy class 4 SD cards bitmain shipped the units with to a decent class 10 card see if that helps
1062  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The last Batch of AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner, Now $1700 per unit on: July 07, 2014, 08:00:56 PM
When is somebody going to make a magical money printing machine that is plug and play? :/

Lol the Antminers are basically plug and play Smiley (It cannot get much easier)

Yeah, but the whole IP thing, mining configuration, admin password, and the power plug. So untoasterish. Smiley

I can start a service "mining for dummies" not meant as an insult but to mock the book series. You call us up give us your pool info we config and ship it to you plug and play ready all you do is plug in power and data and off you go  Shocked

thats great news keep up the great work you have the best mining platform for gridseeds hands down i tested them all now this opens it up to so much more
1064  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what exchange do u use? on: July 07, 2014, 04:01:17 PM
you should add cryptsy to this list
1065  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: July 07, 2014, 10:36:17 AM
Has any S3 been shipped yet from Bitmain?
I'm in batch 1, and status is still 'unshipped' (I know, it is supposed to be shipped between 10 and 20th of July...Smiley

so 1st batch between 10 and 20.
2nd batch before 20 they said??
but 3rd batch they said the same as 2nd batch, so i dont understand.

Should be something like...

1st --> 10-15
2nd --> 15-20
3rd -->  20-25

that would be fair.... or send them faster... send them right now!!! xD

I have batch 1 order also and it still says un-shipped I am hopping for the end of this week

Just a general question is everyone running there Pi's in Stock mode? I tried today doing the Modest over clock and I am running 6 Gridseed Blades and my average Load is 0.24 which seems a little lower then on stock clock which was closer to 0.29 not a huge difference but its just as stable so I was wondering if there is really anything to gain from OCing the Pi possible the ability to handle more miners for those having trouble over 20 globes has anyone tried this out? I notice my Pi running Stock clock 16 Globes runs about 0.25 as my 15 min average

From my understanding, it's not the speed that's stopping the Pi from controlling more, but the on-board memory. OCing the Pi really doesn't get you anything extra, except more heat maybe.

You can try to reconfigure the memory usage by adding / changing "gpu_mem=16" in the "/boot/config.txt" file to only use 16M for the gpu.

Thanks for the feedback I am new to using the Pi but have always overclocked or enhanced everything I have Wink So far the OC on my minera platform seems to be running just fine stable which is why i chose this route to replace MY PC that was controlling ut plus the energy savings not running a full MB and PC is great. I plan to do a lot more experimenting with them so I just wanted some feedback.

I have seen that you can change the allocation of memory so possibly this can help in adding support for more devices per pi. I have some more gridseeds coming so soon ill test how many i can cram onto 1 pi controller before stability is an issue

What would be the correct settings for the 218 overclock?

~ Luc

    option 'freq_value'     '5102'  #219M
    option 'chip_freq'      '218.75'
    option 'timeout'        '38'

Does this program works with LKETC Dragon 1T miners?

The CGremote Monitor should work with it I have it monitoring the API on port 4028 on each of my antminers and it shows me stats and lets me change pools on the fly, works great

Hey guys, it's friday! Just in time for a new release Smiley

Minera 0.2.3 is out!

* Added digital clock
* Fixed Cryptsy timeouts
* Added pool donation remove button
* Changed frequency step from 5 to 1
* Fixed display devices legend
* Added avg stats 1min,5min,1hour,1day
* Added charts hourly,daily,monthly,yearly
* Added average stats badge
* Various bug fixes

And now I'll put all my efforts on the next huge update with CG/BFGminer support, stay tuned!

Have a great weekend!

PS
RPI image file will be updated in the next few days

Do you think it would be possible to add support for the LCD screen read out to display hashing stats similar to the way the Antminer S2 does it? I have a bunch of headless rigs it would be nice when i go do my checkup to see at a glance that there all working well. Keep up the great work this never version seems even smoother then the last, I have setup some donation mining time to keep fueling your efforts, thank you!!

Sorry for delay guys, but instead releasing something without new cool stuff I preferred delay it and add some new features (like history charts daily/monthly/yearly + average stats).

So keep mining as fast as you can while Minera is coming out with v0.2.3!

PS
For who is asking about Minera/Cpuminer stability, I've just got the 15 days (!!) of cpuminer uptime... like a boss  Cool

I have been running 8 days strong and smooth so far on 14 5 Chip (some oced) I love Minera after trying many others. I am going to build a new pi over the weekend to run some 40chip blades see how many I can run on it stable I hope at least 5 per pi so i can kill the PC running them.

I also have started testing with 3 blades some run better then others looks like auto tune function doesn't work on the blades, and when i try to set a specific freq for 1 or 2 blades it reports the wrong number on the dashboard page I can see it is running higher but not the number i set I ahve a few blades that dont run well on anything other then 800 others run fine up to 840 when testing them individually. I suppose I can try and group the good ones and bad ones on to there own pi and do it that way but id like to get them all running on 1 pi if i can anyone have any experience or advise with this?

I figured out what i was doing wrong I now have the blades I want running at higher clock it was a mistake in the config

Stay on topic go spam someplace else no one wants to enter your raffle we want to talk about the S3 not scamming people into buying your raffle tickets

and the winner is number ?

Back to topic.

  I was wondering if  anyone got a coupon or if anyone has ordered in batches 1 and 2.

I am hoping I get it around July  9  10 or 11    as sometimes it comes early.

I have ordered batch 1 and 2 still no shipping confirmations yet

No,

You did a really great job over clocking to 218 any more than that even with exra cooling gets to hot .Yes please share you setting

I agree I see this as the best stable over clock that wont overload the hardware
1076  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S2 Support and Overclocking Thread on: June 17, 2014, 12:52:36 PM
it looks like the freq_value is in hex.

Has anyone tested any higher settings with success? if so let me know so I can update this thread for others to try out. I am running stable at 1.11TH for over a week less than 0.45% HW errors
1077  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S2 Support and Overclocking Thread on: June 06, 2014, 04:40:14 PM
Hi ,

I have an additional 750W that i plunged in to to make 1750w. An for extra cooling iv just layed 4 fans on top of the boards .

How to go about overclocking even more .What is the algo for frequency value seems like random numbers and some have letters ?

The chip frequency seems self explanatory.

And then Their is the time out .Is this seconds ?

To go to the next level up from  219 would be complete guess work for me .

  #option 'freq_value'     '?'  #225M
    #option 'chip_freq'      '225'
    #option 'timeout'        '?'

Thanks ever so much look forward to the help

~Luke

I think the settings for 225 are already in that config file although when i tried to use it the HW error rate was extremely high so something could be off, I suspect those other settings are just left overs from the S1's config files
1078  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S2 Support and Overclocking Thread on: June 06, 2014, 10:33:04 AM
I threw an EVGA 1300 in one of my S2s and have it running at 212 which shows 1077gh average in the interface, 1.1th average at the pool.  Power usage from the wall is about 1135w.  Will be setting it up to 219 next and see what the difference is.

If i can consistently get 100+gh out of each of my S2s by just throwing in a new power supply i say its worth it.

Im curious how high we can get them on stock voltages.  Has anyone figured out any way to over volt and push the clocks higher?

I agree I had the 1350 PSU's laying around from some old Scypt GPU rigs so I didnt spend much. Also I see newegg has them onsale with a $40 mail in rebate http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817194105
Only $259.99 after mail in rebate

Step 1 Using Putty  or another program SSH into your Miner
Step 2 Click "YES" on the "Security Alert" that pops up
Step 3 Login with User: root Password: admin
Step 4 Type "cd /config"
Step 5 Type "vi asic-freq.config
Step 6 Hit the "I" key to edit the file
Step 7 Scroll the the bottom and copy this code and click in the SSH window to paste it (I suggest you start with the 212M Settings run it for a few hours make sure your miner is stable then work your way up)
    option 'freq_value'    '5082'  #212M
    option 'chip_freq'     '212.5'
    option 'timeout'       '36'

    #option 'freq_value'    '6206'  #216M
    #option 'chip_freq'     '215.625'
    #option 'timeout'       '37'

    #option 'freq_value'     '5102'  #219M
    #option 'chip_freq'      '218.75'
    #option 'timeout'        '38'

Step 8 be sure to add "#" in front of everything listed on the 196M line
Step 9 Hit "esc" then type ":wq"
Step 10 (IMPORTANT) type "cp asic-freq.config /etc/asic-freq.config"
IF YOU SKIP THIS STEP ALL SETTINGS WILL BE LOST WHEN YOU POWER CYCLE THE MINER
Step 11 Now Login to the web interface of your miner and go to the miner config tab and click "save and apply" this will restart cgminer with the new settings

Based on my testing here is how my miner performed at each speed

212mhz     1083GH     (+56 Watts)(+80GH Speed)(HW Error 0.22%)
216mhz     1098GH     (+71 Watts)(+95GH Speed)(HW Error 0.39%)
219mhz     1114GH     (+90 Watts)(+111GH Speed)(HW Error 0.88%)

Keep in mind your results might vary. Enjoy and happy mining  Smiley

Do you know what is posible with stock PSU?

Honestly I wouldn't over clock at all unless you change the PSU Stock the unit draws 1080 Watts at the wall so its at its max. I noticed running stock clock just with a new PSU I noticed slightly higher hash rate and less HW errors
1080  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Kit Sales Open, official sales price $2260 per Kit on: June 03, 2014, 10:56:05 AM

Back up with a new higher price tag
