1021  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 2TH/s, Batch 1 on Sale this week, shipping before Sept. Ends on: September 18, 2014, 12:25:21 AM
Looking good. Glad this ones actually supposed to ship without a 3-4 week delay like the S3's pre-order timing is important with other offerings soon hitting the market.

I wouldn't be so sure. I think they can squeeze 2 TH/s out of 1100-1200W.
2000G * 0.7W/GH = 1400W MINIMUM...OK... Huh

The assumption is that the S4 works with underclocked/undervolted ASICS to reach a better W/GH ratio, I would assume somewhere between 0.55 and 0.65 W/GH, so one 1300/1400W power supply could indeed do. But of course we'll not know for sure till @BITMAIN reveals the exact specs.
still, they wont give you something like
Evga 1500w Platinum  Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy

and, btw...
5units of S3+ = 355w x 5 = 1,775W

i assume S4 will be around 1500w - 1700w
they wont waste chips like that..
they better selling chips like avalon do than planting so much undervolted chips
and sell it so damn cheap  Grin
they're not doing charity here buddy  Cheesy

they "wasted" them like that on the s2....

the s2 chip freq is 192.... the s1 is 350

This is my thought. I don't know if they'll under clock enough to run on the 1050w supplies like before, but 1200w supplies are reasonably common and we'll priced enough that 2th/1.2kw seems like a fair target, and if psu is included it would justify a 2.4btc price tag

I agree I have all my S2's upgraded to 1350W Platinum power supplies and over clocked to 1.11TH so I think with new chips and 1300 Watt power supply close to 2TH is a good target or 1.7TH is acceptable
1023  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help Antminer S2 Miner Configuration Problem on: September 15, 2014, 03:39:28 PM
No, I don't think so. I used teamviewer and tried to help him. He told me that his PC was hacked. I think that's the problem. The hacker's pool address is entering automatically. I tried to change all fields, one field, adding to third field, making it blank and resetting, non of them worked. I think he might want to format his computer or want install an antivirus like Avast(freeware) and make a full-scan. It will take much longer but it is effective.

  ~~MZ~~

Yeah well a hacked PC could cause problems, when in doubt always reformat the PC never trust that an Antivirus has cleaned your PC fully. I actually keep all my miners on there own isolated network and just team viewer into a management PC on that LAN, who knows what secret surprises hide inside these miners Smiley just my 2 cents as a security expert

I'm still waiting for my B8 order to ship. Any Sep purchases shipped yet?
If you go back a few pages, you'll see that the majority of them have.  Might check with Bitmain.

I'm a September 8 order and I'm still waiting. Considering the fact that it's 11:30PM in Beijing, I don't think it will go out until tomorrow or Wednesday. Kind of ridiculous that they opened up Batch 9 sales before they finished shipping out Batch 8 IMO.

I think this marks the official availability of these units as an in stock item and no more pre order, also probably means the line is coming to an end soon hopefully and S2 Upgrade kit is up next Id really like these new chips in my S2's
1025  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help Antminer S2 Miner Configuration Problem on: September 15, 2014, 03:30:12 PM
have you updated to the latest version of the firmware this was a known error in older versions of the firmware your system overview page should report something like this if you have most current fw
Code:
Miner Type	AntMiner-S2
Hostname antMiner
Model GNU/Linux
Hardware Version 2.2.2.0
Kernel Version Linux 3.8.13 #1 SMP Fri Jan 17 23:04:23 CST 2014
File System Version Thu Jun 19 14:16:34 CST 2014
Cgminer Version 3.12.0
latest firmware can be found here https://www.bitmaintech.com/support.htm?pid=00720140413044945482bs4xshkh072D

I agree with this suggestion update to latest firmware should resolve your issue

I got my first batch 8 order last friday and This morning I got confirmation on my second batch 8 order shipping today so should be any day now for you

ANTMINER S3+ -B9 sales open, shipping starts on Sept. 18th  Smiley

Price:      0.58 BTC
Total disappointment. Will skip this batch at this price.
Total agreement.

and wait for what exactly? this is basically in-stock

so because its now in stock that's why there is no price change? Difficulty is still going up even though its not as drastic as the last 2 hikes. I think ill skip this batch as well I have ordered from every batch this will be the first one I skip unless Bitmain wants to offer discount coupons to loyal buyers Wink

How about an S3 to S3+ upgrade kit?

that's easy just over clock your miner to 225mhz it takes 30 seconds
1029  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S2 Support and Overclocking Thread on: August 20, 2014, 08:44:17 PM
Then for you it's time to overclock your S2.  Cool

I'm officially over clocked and running a 1300 watt PSU from EVGA their Supernova Model. I'll post results one it steady itself out at 219mhz.

Good choice on the Power supply this is one of my favorites plus 10 year warranty cant go wrong

Can anyone tell me the proper way to run gridseed mini's and g-blades together in 1 instance of Minera? I can get them going via the CPUminer (I know it won't auto tune the gblade) but the hashrate is super low for one of the blades.
I have 6 gridseeds and a g-blade running on CPUminer now. everything is stable with auto-tune.

how do you get it working with autotune? do you just hard define the blade freq using the serial number and let it auto tune the 5 chips?
here are some pics of what i have going on.

Looks like you can clock those blades higher HW errors are so low, also what do you see in the real time log?

My order from the last couple of data of B2 has shipped. They should be on to B3 in a day.
We need batch 4 sales to open!

I got batch 2 ship confirmation today as well so looks like my batch 1 and batch 2 will be 1 day delivery apart

Which is the easiest methoid to scan the ip addresses already used ?

Not yet received my 3x units... waiting next week

Once you know the IP Scheme usually 192.168.0.XXX set your pc to an ip in that block ie: 192.168.0.200 then use a utility such as Advanced IP Scanner to do a ping of all addresses from 192.168.0.1-192.168.0.254 and it will list all the devices that reply and let you link quickly to there web interface right from the app
1036  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 19, 2014, 09:27:25 PM
Set up 3 of 6 miners last night. Let them run overnight.

Hrmph...

wow, very cool.
friends, I want to ask when I could order ANTMiner S3?
I saw on the website can not be in order.
how do I book at bitmaintech?

Some guys who have orders in on batch 1,2,3 have listed them on ebay might want to check there that's your only choice right now to get them in hand early until he re-opens batch 4 once all batch 1,2,3 orders are filled and shipped which probably wont be for at least a week
1037  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: July 19, 2014, 09:21:31 PM

Mine have been running cool enough for weeks on the stock fans but I have a few extra really high CFM fans laying around maybe ill try changing them out on one miner and compare temps over a few days. If anyone has discovered any settings that worked for them that are not in this thread let me know so I can update the main page
1040  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 16, 2014, 02:20:33 AM
So I need some help here peoples. I do fly in fly out work with a 3 week on roster. So im going to be away from home when the miners arrive. My girl is home but is absolutely computer illiterate. I have setup the power supply ready for when they arrive with labelling for which cables go where so she can just plug them in. But as far as setting it up goes would i be able to setup the miners remotely with teamviewer with another computer set up at home? Reading about the S1 seems the internet has to be disconnected and then connect the compter directly to the miner. Is this true with the s3 do you think?
Does anyone have any ideas how I could set up the miners remotely?
Thanks Smiley

If you put two NIC's in your PC you can preconfigure one to talk to the miner (with crossover cable) and leave the other one to connect to your network.  Then all she has to do initially is power the miner and plug it into the crossover cable.  You can then remote in and configure it.  If you set the IP as the last bit of configuration, she can then just change the ethernet cable to put it on your main network.

Unfortunately I don't have another network card Sad

Does your computer have wifi and a hardwired NIC you can do the same thing suggested here?
