181  Economy / Gambling / Geek Trader's 20th bet gets 2 BTC on: August 24, 2011, 06:32:45 PM

You know I'm good for it.  Lets go!
182  Economy / Gambling / Re: 10th bet gets 1BTC - only received 0.01? on: August 24, 2011, 06:26:17 PM
I would think, if the round creator intended to screw you, he would just not pay you anything.

Hoping it's a mistake or he hasn't paid you yet.
183  Economy / Gambling / Re: I like the new ponzi idea - 10th get 1, 20th gets 2, etc on: August 24, 2011, 06:13:56 PM
According to this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=39059.0 the owner has yet to pay them out.

Also makes sense since it doesn't seem that the owner would have made enough off of fees and their own bets in order to even earn that 1BTC.

Yeah, and we don't know who the owner is of these 2 (10th_bet...)  Angry

This is a great idea.  I just got in 10th_bet_gets_1BTC_p2: http://bitcoinduit.com/10th_bet_gets_1BTC_p2

I assume it's the round owner making the payment manually, not Bitcoinduit doing it automatically.

This would be a great option for bitcoinduit to add so it does get done automatically.
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ‘Anonymous’ – Now accepting bitcoin tips on: August 24, 2011, 06:09:15 AM
I think we're seeing an enterprising scam to get bitcoins here.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSAd26y8A_Y
"OpPaperStorm is an operation to spread awareness of Anonymous and our goals. To do this, we will post flyers and such in public places."

..right...  nice way to get that bitcoin donation address spread around.

As the Anons don't even know each other.. who's to keep the owner of that bitcoin address accountable?

It could be anybody posting their address as Anonymous's address.  Great idea.  Get Anonymous mad at you.   Grin

Judging from the genius regularly displayed by posters in this forum, I wouldn't put it past someone to try it.

.001 is a millicoin (millie)
.000001 is a microcoin (mike)
.00000001 is a nugget

I like.

This is a low-risk, potentially fast moving game.  If others get in I'll put in a lot of bets.

199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why It Doesn't Matter If Rich Douches Are Scared on: August 23, 2011, 11:44:32 PM

... It's too late to do anything but employ the ban-hammers with fascist-like authoritah and eliminate future trollery...

... the crushing unprofessionalism of the large majority of forum troll douches...

... Forbes is viewed as some kind of holy-word by people with large sums of money who can't be arsed to actually look into it themselves, so when even Forbes is incapable of comprehending even the simplest details of how gold spontaneously becomes money, or when the last Bitcoin will be mined, the misinformation spreads...

...And therefore its longevity and first-mover advantage will, in the end, crush all misinformation and all direct opposition. This is the reason why I no longer bother to correct anybody about their mind-bogglingly ignorant misconceptions. It.. doesn't.. matter....

I think I have a man-crush on you.   Grin
