hey - your website locked up in the middle of a hand for me -- just now

" ...in addition to raising the accepted standards for security within the industry, Tibanne Co. Ltd. is continually working toward building the best possible services for its clients." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Because site hangs and mysql errors are "the best possible services" I have a love-hate with MtGox. They have all the volume. They have a few nice features that I wish Trade Hill would incorporate. But the back-end to MtGox SUCKS. I am a software engineer who does back end architecture. I know they SUCK.

Nice UI. but it's intrinsically insecure to use bitcoin on windows.
It's intrinsically insecure to use Windows at all.

Your request was received. The first accounts will be issued within 48 hours.
Yes we do offer wagering on Formula 1.
Excellent, thanks for the quick response!

I requested an invite a few hours ago. When might I hear about it?
Eager to play BlackJack, and later in the year, bet on NFL.
Do you accept bets on Formula 1 racing?

Do we really need yet another duplicate thread?
It doesn't mean it's not true.

We appreciate your efforts in running this pool. It is one of the most stable and reliable pools around. We know you don't get paid, and in fact, do not make enough in donations to even cover costs. We do realize the many, many hours of work you put into this.
Do what you need to do to keep this pool at it's current high quality, and we will support you.

I sent a support email to Dwolla and they confirmed they did indeed send that email.

|

I got one, and realized my existing Dwolla password was horribly weak, so I changed to something much better.

I read the infamous "Silk Road" article on Gizmodo. Not so interested in the drugs, but the BTC part struck me as interesting.

So you posted a topic on the BBB in the bitcoin section of the forum. It looks like even with your 339+ posting you still do not understand the proper place to post an item.
Admin please move this BBB topic thread to the meta section.
Admin, please ban MeSarah for calling the US police on this forum.

Today I tried to install the btc client on two linux distros, Mandriva 2011-rc1 and Puppy 5.25. The cleint would not run on Mandriva, something about a missing lib. I forget which but I want to say lib.so.jpeg. On Puppy the client complains about making sure the system time is correct.
Now for my question. Even though the btc client is complaining about the time (which is correct) it still is downloading the block chain. Is it safe to use the client? Should I change the time from CST to UTC?
No one will answer you because you threatened to call the US police on this forum.

Whoever's referral link I clicked when I signed up is a rich man, because I am a Kamikaze addict!
I believe that's me... Thank you And it seems you're doing pretty good there Doing good there? Does that mean he's doing good at the game and not giving you the bonuses, or he's doing good at losing and you're getting a lot of bonuses? I think the referrer gets a fraction of the referree's losses, am i right? My understanding is he gets 5% of the rounds I lose. I may come out ahead in the long run, but I'll still lose a lot of rounds. And he gets 5% of that. It's a damn addicting game

I like the idea of the 2 factor auth. However, I think it's overkill for login. Especially when you log me out after a certain time. You should just have to to confirm a withdrawal.
I use the Yubikey at MtGox, and it's also a inconvenience, mostly because they log me out after so short a time. I just provided 2 factor login, why are you logging me out?!
In both cases, I would be happy to do 2 factor auth on login if you would just let me stay logged for 12 hours or until I close my browser.

Alright I hope I get my money back. Also how will you know everything is in order?
You can never be sure, it's part of the gamble. However, The Bit Man has been running games for a while. I trust him.

6 more days, people! You know how these things work. They pay out good for a while, then start to slow down, then the last poor suckers lose their cash.
We are still in the "pay out good" part of the cycle! Get in. Make some $$$$$
Then, we start all over again!

the 51% thing is actually pretty good. It's the solution to the Byzantine General's problem. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byzantine_fault_toleranceFor those who won't read it, it's what to do when 2 nodes say "A paid B 1.0 BTC" and 1 node says something different. According to the wiki page, the best anyone has done before bitcoin was be safe as long as an attacker didn't have 34%. "Many classic agreement problems, such as the Byzantine Generals' Problem, have no solution unless n > 3t, where n is the number of processes in the system. In other words, the algorithm can ensure correct operation only if fewer than one third of the processes are faulty." Bitcoin has upped that to 51%. That seems pretty good to me.
