It is frustrating to see other coins....like torcoin...that somehow attract the attention and investment of folks.
the dev for torcoin implied it was somehow associated with TOR who quickly denied it. Even then not much credibility lost.

xspec is the sleeper of all the privacy coins.  Cool

Where do all these people come from that find something wrong with something about every coin?
Jeez Louise.....let me know when you find the "perfect" coin.....with so many in the world, there must be one?
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XSPEC] Spectrecoin | Untraceable Tx | Ring Signatures | Tor Integration on: June 21, 2017, 08:57:32 AM
Don't believe everything you see on BCT. It's ICO generated  quite a bit more than that.
But, what's it matter may I ask?
Right now there's well over 500+ wallets out there, 20 million xspec with decent distribution and ....most of all, xspec has a purpose.
Unlike so many crypto coins.
so maybe go fud somewhere else.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which coins with price under $1 are undervalued? on: June 13, 2017, 03:01:31 PM
I'd like to concur on EMC2 great new group working on this project

Things are moving along anyway with one of the original devs back.
Very encouraging that jbg has been on the Slack channel most everyday this week and working hard.
And nullsec is working on a new site.

210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XSPEC] Spectrecoin | Untraceable Tx | Ring Signatures | Tor Integration on: June 06, 2017, 06:06:12 PM
running win 10 home and current xspec wallet just restarted and it hit 7 connections almost off the bat, right now it has 19 connections and usually after a day its 25+.
What's really exciting is there's improvements coming in a matter of days.
Things will break fast then.

Even better jbg, the main xspec wallet and android app dev is back after enduring his own time with health problems.
The exchange prices you see now are starting to ease upwards double digits.....better get it while you can.

The question was not about which exchanges this coin is listed on; it was about being accepted for use on Tor marketplaces, such as Alphabay for example.

Can anyone confirm whether it is true what this poster claimed, that every Tor marketplace requires multisig?  I have never accessed any of those, but I can see how incompatibility with Tor marketplaces could inhibit the adoption of a currency whose key selling point is anonymity/untraceability.

Tor markets are actually NOT the end game of xspec. The really big money is in the private peer to peer wallet being developed for android.
Spectre.Cash will allow this. I suggest you read the website, I warn you though, there's alot of info there....so take your time.

220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XSPEC] Spectrecoin | Untraceable Tx | Ring Signatures | Tor Integration on: April 27, 2017, 11:37:26 AM
The dev said some time ago that before bittrex or any other high profile wallet.....that the Windows wallet needs to be "right" and
that the Android app needs to be out and working.

Then you will see xspec really take off....and not because of the exchanges. Nothing would be worse than making xspec so generally available and not meeting expectations.

On another note...I get excited when I read things like this.....
"Recently, the demonetization of 500 and 1,000 bank notes initiated by the Indian government led to a nationwide financial crisis, as banks and ATMs ran out of cash to dispense. Both the banked and unbanked populations of India have been struggling to obtain cash to fund day-to-day operations and basic necessities ever since."

".....43 percent of adults in India made no deposits or withdrawals in banks."

And that's just India. Read the full article here. Its mostly about btc but the opportunity is there for all alts, especially privacy centric ones.
